White boards fights are usually friendly,
weapons are allways used but if damage occours
the opponent usually backs off, I wouldnt worry
its just good fun !
Its not usual to run weapons at full chat but when you sign up on the board just let everyone know to back off so that they definately know not to throw you OOTA or cream you against the wall especially with those nice spikes n things.
Being new they wont be able to recognise you straight away so let you and your robot be known to them.

White board... Competition.. Is there supposed to be a difference? :uhoh:
Motto.. If it moves.. Hit it!.. If it doesnt.. Hit it anyway, just in case it was thinking about moving!
The biggest difference between FCC and whiteboards is the absence of active spinners.
Also, people with destructive weapons ,like axes or crushers will limit the weaponpower or wont run the weapon at all.
If damage occures, the fight stops- again a gentlemens agreement, not a rule.
i dont mind being sent OOTA, its mainly driving practise against another machine and also to test traction on the arena surface, i just didnt want some1 to seriously damage my machine if i say clearly have no traction or mechanical failure(in the whiteboard fight),in a proper competition then i know anything goes, thanks guys
We tend to hold back abit during white board fights and arnt as agressive as we would be in fullcombat , mainly because having someone flipped oota under 30seconds is abit boring for the audience.
Turbulence will be going to Doncaster, Birmingham and Folksten if all goes well. Sighn urself up for a white board with us and we will have a friendly push about :).
thanks dave, wow turbulence!! couldnt pick a better machine to have a friendly bout with.
LOL dave your famous :P
lol woooooo!
having a go against the current uk champion, cant be bad! even if it is a whiteboard

If you have the same luck as Behemoth do, you will beat me before the fight even starts :)
aint whiteboard fighting sorta define to drawing piccies of your bots, then the other do the same, then take turns to move weapons and stuff, but keep drawing? LOL
my... if i had a bot, i would never win, cos i cant draw to save my life! *chuckles*

Just finished fitting the anti wedge/flip skirts, i just hope the arena floor is quite smooth as these things literally skim the floor, i decided to put them on hinges rather than just fixed (similar to what panic attack had) hopefully they are effective!
smooth floor in a heavy arena? are you having a laugh lol!
this is my trouble, lack of experience!! hence starting in whiteboards!

Not slaming each other into the walls at full whack, basicaly just backing off when the other driver sais so and not being ott.
Adrian- aslong as the ground clearance of the machine is high enough around your wheels you should be ok, good idea pivoting the side skirts:)
dont believe a word dave says, ive seen him.. if he could push me about, he would!
