Which glue?
I used evo stick to bond Kart tyres onto steel rims for KC3, but then pop riveted them all over giving myself arm strain with the rivet gun..
worked ok

Which glue?
Sorry, what i meant to say was im glueing tread to the rubber wheel not gluing tread to the steel rim.

Which glue?
I seem to remeber a certain type of araldite that is perfect for sticking rubber to rubber together , cant remeber the name though

Which glue?
I use bike tyres on alot of our robots and we only ever screw them on, never needed glue.
-
Which glue?
I have used araldite before to hold gears to shafts in feathers, so probably will hold tyres on.

Which glue?
Cough Ed The Bodger :) Cough

Which glue?
I dont think Araldite would be suitable as it would be much too rigid and would crack.
The best rubber for good traction is a soft rubber. However it will wear away quickly. The best glue for soft rubber is probably the glue used for bicycle tyre inner tube repair kits. Alternatively you need to find a glue that has a solvent that will soften and slightly dissolve the rubber.

Which glue?
Hi guys,
thanx for you tips, wot ive done is brought a mountain bike tyre from halfords, which had exactly the same width as my wheels and i cut off the side walls, i then used self tapping(small head) screws which sit alot lower than the tread,so the tread touches the ground and not the screws. for glue i used impact which seems to work well, the traction this has given me now is unbelievable, looking forward to testing at raf waddington on sunday.

Which glue?
i have a question about adhesive i want to stick titanium to polycarbonate any ideas

Which glue?
There are some grades of araldite that will do just this. But you are best to give them a call.
Bolts work well.

Which glue?
Mastic glue like TEC7. That gives a connection that is secure and flexible.
Most metal glues become hard and brittle.

Which glue?
I thought about gripfill or no nails as these stay flexable and the surface area is quite large between the poly and the titanium what do you think?

Which glue?
No real strength and they tend to break down under vibration.
