How do you activate the lifter?
Will the lifter work if connected to a battery?
Got a picture?
What are the Technobots instructions?
Have you asked paul/jackie at technobots?
Zeobot lifter?
http://www.technobots.co.uk/Technical/Zeobot/Zeobot%20Wiring%20Diagram.htmhttp://www.technobots.co.uk/Technica...%20Diagram.htm
The lifter is activated by the 3rd channel on my tx.
the lifter motor does work if connected to a battery.
i think the instructions are on the techno bots wedsite, under the zeobot area and kit d
i will upload a pic later.
thanks
Can you hear the R/C Relay click?
If yes ........Check the microswitch connections ..........you should be using the COM and NC connection.
COM = Common .... NC = Normally Closed.
I have got it working in a way, first i had put the rc switcher the wrong way round in the rx, and the micro switchers had the wrong wires going to them. any way once these things had been fixed i turned it on and the switcher started to smoke a tiny bit, therefore i turned it off and tried again it didnt smoke and so i pushed the ch3 forward. now the motor goes clockwise and 1 microswitcher is working but the motor wont go backwards (but the switcher clicks) and i cant test the other micro switchers. and on some occasions the motor doesnt turn when the ch3 is pushed forward but the switcher is clicking
hope you can follow this and have you any suggestions....
thanks
SMOKE .....BAD!
Id suggest that youve burnt out the R/C switch or at least one side of it.
can this be undne ???????????????
Well ...... I suspect that the relay can be replaced.
But its not something I would wish to try and explain.
A fuse in the circuit might well have saved the r/c switch.
You could send it to Electronize to have it repaired at cost - technobots cant really take any resonsibility as it sounds like a wrong connection was to blame.
everytime ive blown one its burnt out a track, might be worth taking the lid off and see if any on the tracks between connectors and relays have burnt out, if so you can just solder abit of wire over it.
An easy way to check if a micro switch works is to push it, If you feel it click then its ok, If its just spongey then its probably burnt out- there about 99p from Maplin.
the switcher still clicks when the ch3 is pushed but nothing hapens
If you dont feel able to repair it yourself ......do as Ewan says.
As i said, a micro switch..aka the limit switches in ur robot. Have you checked those work? (can be done as i said above) If there fine- contact electronise, i believe they have a fixed repair rate of £7.
i believe at least one is ok but i havent had the chance to test the other due to other issues
thanks
I have now taken the lifter system out so that i can get the robot ready for sheffield.
