The NSTT: Other-weights
The NSTT: Other-weights
I€™m planning to hit on with the heavyweights over the next few weeks, but in the gap between the end of the heats and the start of the semi finals, I will run the other weight classes€™ qualifiers and in the gap between round 5 and 6, the other weight classes€™ semi-finals, and between round 6 and 7, the other weight classes€™ finals.
There will be 5 weight classes running, but the minimum number of entries needed for each class to run is 6.
The weight classes
Raptor-weight (6kg)[12 kg]
Featherweight (12 kg) [24kg]
Lightweight (25 kg) [50 kg]
Middleweight (50 kg) [100 kg]
Classic Heavyweight (80 kg) [160 kg]
The wheeled weight is in the round brackets, and walker weight in the square brackets. No bonus for screws/tracks.
Standard UK stats please, the more the better.
Extra Stuff
You didn€™t have to be in the main heavyweights to enter into the other-weights. You don€™t have to enter every weight class.
Entries deadline
There is in theory unlimited entries allowed for each weight class, and so I€™m having a date deadline instead of the normal entries deadline. The entries have to be in by Saturday 23rd July at 11:59 BST. So even if you have reservations, no stats = no entry.
Get Cracking :proud:

The NSTT: Other-weights
MW:
Hell Fire
Weight: 50kg
Dimensions: 120x110x40cm
Shape: low slung wedge
Weapons: Powerful pneumatic flipping arm that has a plate that runs the width of the front, that can throw 75kg 3 feet or so no problem, and can, flip 100kg, but not too high, and a rear Pussycat style Saw, that spins at 4000rpm, and has carbon tipped teeth to cope with titanium.
Top Speed: 25mph
Transmission: a pair of Mag C40€™s on 24v NiMH€™s running through a really simple transmission, but a reliable one due to features to keep the chain on.
Amour: 4mm Ali and steel alloy and 2 mm of stainless steel on top
Strengths: Very manoeuvrable and fast, generally very easy to control
Weakness: Exposed outer wheels
Ground Clearance: 0 at the front, 5cm at the back, varying from 0 to 4.5 at the sides (wedge goes up)
Turning Circle: 0cm (its turning is very nimble)
Notes: Hell Fire is extremely manoeuvrable because it has 2 sets of wheels on the same axle, meaning that it€™s incredibly stable, and can turn on a penny, and can still run even with outer wheels ripped off
LW:
Name: Hell Hound
Weight: 25kg
Dimensions (LxWxH): 60x50x30cm
Shape: scooped front, rectangular body, rounded back
Weapons: 2 conjoined Pincer type crushing jaws with a small hydraulic ram powering each, producing a 1 and 1/2 tonne crushing force
Colour: mainly black, but with Rotweiler features all over the body
Speed: 15MPH
Transmission: a pair of Bosch 400€™s on 24v running through a simple 6:1 ratio gearbox
Armour:1mm stainless steel and 1mm Ali/steel alloy (tough enough for LWs)
Srimech: cable pulled legs from out the side (like a dog cocking his leg to do his business) and a cable pulled tail to self right when its on its head
GC: 0 at the scoop, 2mm the rest of the way
Turning circle: 0cm
Strengths: Power of weapon
Weakness: slow self righter (still effective mind)
FW:
Name: Hells Angel
Weight: 12kg
Dimensions: 59 x 45 x 15 cm
Shape: Scoop front, rectangle body, wedged rear end
Weapons: a car radiator fan motor powered axe, drilled for lightness, but with still a heavy axe head, with a wallop power of about 500kg
Transmission: Ali protected Challenger drill motors attached directly to the compound rubber wheels, which are studded with screws pointing out (like those on Chaos 2)
Speed: 12 MPH
GC: 2mm all around, 0 at the scoop end
Srimech: The axe, the weight of which pulls it over so it cannot rest on its side. Make SURE you remember that.
Armour: 2.5mm mild steel on the sides, 2mm checker plate aluminium elsewhere
Strengths: The axe
Weakness: the armour may not stand up to strong FW spinners, but should prove good enough
RW:
Hell Boy
Weight: 6kg
Dimensions: 30 x 30 x 10cm
Power: 2 x 9v Ni-cad packs supplying 2 of the Zeobot drill motors and wheels with 18v
Weapons: a pair of temprature treated steel spikes on the top corners of the front wedge and a rear 10cm diameter circular saw run by another zeobot drill motor. The saw runs at 4000rpm.
Shape: Storm 2-like
GC: 1.5mm all over
Armour: 2mm steel all over
Strengths: Powerful drive and weapon
Weakness: thinnish armour
All my HWs are 100Kg, so Ill have to think up a new design

Save me a spot.
All I know now is that I want Conundrum [Stats at http://www.stupoo2000.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/featherweights/database_conundrum.htmhttp://www.stupoo2000.pwp.blueyonder...undrum.htm]And I need some time to research some other realies, as I dont have any raptors/classics HWs as of now and If Im entering a tourny with one realie in a diffrent class, I feel I might as well enter that tourtament with all realies instead of having it diffrently balanced. [I bet you all NOBODY undersstood a word that just came out of my mouth :proud:]

-
The NSTT: Other-weights
Its underneath the weight limit, so it counts.

-
The NSTT: Other-weights
Well here is my first of two terrors :proud:
Name: KE (Kinetic Energy)
Motivation: 2WD
Speed: 14MPH
Weight: 12kg
Height: 90mm
Length: 480mm
Width: 420mm
Weapon: The weapon is an undercutting 300mm diameter 1.6kg flywheel powered by two OS .30 Rotary 49-PI Wankel Nitro motors @ 3000rpm. Each motor has a peak performance of 1.27BHP at 17000rpm and the relative information can be found here: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXBY72&P=MLhttp://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXBY72&P=ML
The motors have a centrifugal clutch and starter motor added on to prevent any mysterious stalls. The blade sits 0-15mm (Adjustable) from the floor and is designed to go under an opponent and take out the wheels/tracks/legs. The weapon can be raised slightly to the full 15mm where it can then target the opponents armor or skirting. The flywheel is made out of 4mm Hardox 400 for durability.
Drive: 2 x 12v Dewalts running on 14.8v current limited to 80amps each.
Batteries: 1 x 14.8v 6000N Polyquest LiPoly Pack. Ultra Light, Ultra powerful. Has a continous rating of 90amps and peaks of 180amps. Information here: http://robotcombat.com/marketplace_lipoly-pq.htmlhttp://robotcombat.com/marketplace_lipoly-pq.html
Armor: Combination of the following, 3.25mm Hardox rear wedge & wheel guards, 3mm Polycarbonate with 1mm Stainless steel bonded together for the rest. Uses a very light 15mm x 15mm x 2mm box section chassis.
Notes: A miniature version of Mad Dog (http://buildersdb.com/botpics/719.jpghttp://buildersdb.com/botpics/719.jpg) and is invertible. Extremely deadly! Approach with FEAR!!!
mDU will be posted up later once I research the necessary components and finish the idea off.

The NSTT: Other-weights
I MIGHT enter, but Im not promising anything.
The stats for my featherweight (Ram-Raider), lightweight (Little Big Bot) and middleweight (Tom) should be found in the PTT.
My Raptorweight depends whether you allow static weapons or not. If yes, then Ill enter Matamata. If you dont, Ill have to think.
All my heavyweights are 100 kilos or near to it as well, so Ill also have to think.
-
The NSTT: Other-weights
Your allowed passive weapons.

The NSTT: Other-weights
OK, here is one, hopefully in-weight, if somewhat suicidal, Raptorweight.
Name: Matamata
Weight: 6 kilos
Body Shape: Round, with front cone head
Speed: 23mph
TC: 0
GC: 3mm
Wheels: 2 inner
Armour: 4mm fibreglass
Power: What sort of power would be suitable for a raptorweight? What I do know is that it is very powerful
Weapons: Fixed 15cm spike, twin rear maces which are actually the wrecking balls from The Gauntlet RW toy.
Srimech: Err...
Colour: Brown.
Inspiration: The freshwater turtle of the same name.
Strengths: Very fast and very powerful
Weaknessess: Weak armour and no srimech.
And here is my Classic Heavyweight
ORKA MK1
Weight: 80 kilos
Body Shape: A simple box
Speed: Some 15mph
TC: 0
GC: 5mm, 0mm at front.
Wheels; 6 inner
Armour; 7mm titanium
Power; 3x 12v batteries, powered by a couple of Magmotors
Colour; Black with white patches
Weapons; The robot itself is a weapon. It also has two wedge plates, one at the front, one at the back, for scooping up robots. The one at the front is the right way up, the one at the back is upside down.
Srimech: The robot runs inverted, and the positioning of the wedge plates means that at least one is usable whatever side the robot is on.
Inspiration; Ive always liked Orcas. Adding the K made it sound more dangerous.
Strengths; Power, Invertable
Weaknessess: Hard to turn
-
The NSTT: Other-weights
Raptor Weight: none
Featherweight: OverDrive
Lightweight: MiniForce
Middleweight: The Steel Sandwich
Classic Heavyweight: Le Nez
OverDrive, MiniForce and Le Nez can be found on my forum. The Steel Sandwich will be the latest version you know of and Ill try to get a Raptor design up later on.

The NSTT: Other-weights
Featherweight Melees (One goes out)
Hells Angel vs. Conundrum vs. Ram-Raider
Storm Vortex vs. Kinetic Energy vs. OverDrive
Go all out on Hells Angel.
Lightweight Melee (One goes out)
Hell Hound vs. Typhoon Thunder vs. Toe Crusher vs.
Little Big Bot vs. MiniForce
Smash the hell out of anything unprotected from the top or invertible, aim for the wheels on invertible bots.
Middleweight Melee (One goes out)
Hell Fire vs. Typhoon vs. Knee Breaker vs. Tom vs.
The Steel Sandwich
Try to leave the fighting to most of the other bots unless someone goes after me, but when one bot is weakened majorly, ill finish it off.

The NSTT: Other-weights
Right, if Steve decides he wants to enter, he can because he was on holiday.
-
The NSTT: Other-weights
Right.
FW:
Conumdrum, if its the real robot, its armour wont stand to my axe, so Ill concentrated on that
LW:
Typhoon is a problem, because of the shape, so Ill change the twin pincirs to a singular crusher for this fight and go after typhoon
MW:
Flip Typhoon over, hes a lot slower than Hell Fire

The NSTT: Other-weights
Why hello my fan fic friends, news has traveled about my Conundrum Mk1, nice to see its still remembered.
Little changes since its entry into the database is a Ev Warrior powered drum 2:1 at 24v off of the 3Ah bot packs, also the drum is much more like the one on my profile. The drive is better quality 18v drills running on 24v. Its surprising how much damage this little thing will take but the MDF chassis absorbs a hell of alot and the top and bottom are braced so they wont collapse in under impacts.
So if the owner of the tourment will let it Conundrums stats are actually......
Name: Conundrum Mk1
Weight: 12kg
Dimensions: 40 x 35.5 x 13 cm
Shape: Rectangle/Box body,
Weapons: 2Kg 24v Ev Warrior Powered Drum with hardened steel teeth. Interchangeable with a hinged wedge
Transmission: Hi quality 18v drill at 24v, custom Ali wheels with Vulkalon grip.
Speed: Unknown
Ground Clearance: 3.5mm @ body, 0mm @ Wedge, 2mm @ Drum Teeth.
Srimech: Invertible
Armour: 6mm MDF and 3mm 6082 T6 Aluminum
Strengths: The drum
Weakness: Probably the angled side armour but theres nothing but a 40mm air gap behind it anyway.
If not then thats no problem and good luck Anthony.

May I make a suggestion - if you want to learn English, standard english is the place to start, as a lot of people find internet english such as yours quite difficult to comprehend anyway.

-
The NSTT: Other-weights
yeah says u
Yeh, I do actually, youll note that english is one of the most spoken languages in the world. Net speak isnt.
There against you because, to be blunt, they find you irritating as you dont seem to read or make an effort to understand things like dates of last posts, tournament rules, laws of physics and generally a little thign called reality. Oh, and a forum is not a silly teen chatroom, there is a general expectation of proper english spelling even if you dont use full grammar. Spelling mistakes are forgiven, intentional laziness is not - these are not rules, they are just the people who talk heres expectations of things, you dont have to abide by them, but if you dont people with get annoyed at you, simple as that. Im telling you this in your own best interests not out of any maliciousness on my part.
