Very much the same as 2004, minus the rain please !!!!

This year again it will be a two day event, with camping facilities available on the theme park site.
So the usual Saturday night beer, BBQ, and roboteer entertainment to look forward to.

Any excuse to get out of putting the arena up! This year ill take some more guy ropes for my tent, thought i was going to wake up in the next field!

Her 1st? Then it wont arrive until at least 22nd :)

Do you have to go to Holland to get babies these days? I got mine locally, a lot cheaper.
It would be a delight to come and play at Wicksteed again, here comes wicky bear etc.....

I should be there- I wont sign up untill the machine is painted and ready to go this time because im fed-up of missing deadlines for events due to other responsibilities :sad: But it was fun last year so Ill try my best :)

Kronic will be there. Wont commit to Mini Kronic being there yet as it is still in bits and needs a complete rebuild :sad:

In the absence of a Holland do, could this be the big middleweight fight? There has never been a middleweight battle in Europe outside of the old RW (as far as I know). Ive been waiting three years for a battle and if John is up for it we could decide who is the best European middleweight, even allowing Blazer to join in if Alan can be ready.

I could even bring the original and best Killercarrot 1 along, thats a middleweight (just).. give you all a whooping

What about the Gemini twins - are they still active/intact? The two separate halves could give you another two middleweights :)

I dont know what became of them. Where do most old robots go when they retire? Six middles almost matches the heady days of Extreme 2. Im trying to get into contact with Kyle and Phoenix but his trail has gone rather cold. He did live in Hemel Hempstead.

OK, Broadsword is going to Wicksteed Park. Any other middleweights fancy taking us on?

Tried to register for the event but it did not work. So TeamDragon will be there with 2 feathers DragonStrike and Dragon 2. Camping Yes Friday and Saturday.

Im still learning PHP, and theres something in the coding which causes some problems for only a handful of people. Where the other 10 or so people signed up fine.

Is Broadsword the only middleweight going? If so, Ill just declare myself God-Emperor Generalissimo Champion and then take a kicking from the heavies.

Like i said before, if i have time i will get Blazer running, but i have Alpha to finish (currently no where near completed) and have Knightmares drive to be rebuilt. Your welcome to have a fight with either of our heavys!

Julian, Mighty Mouse is a bit heavy for a middleweight (+10kg) but if you turn a blind eye at the weigh in, we could have a fairly even fight.

Maybe, although 20% is rather a lot over! We may be getting close to a renaissance in middleweights as there seems to be several on the way now. For a while it was just Broadsword (awaiting rebuild) and the Steel Sandwich.

There does seem to be some sort of resurgence with the middles even if its fairly small. If I could get my hands on an old electric wheelchair (and some spare time) Id love to try a middleweight. They just all of a sudden appealed to me so maybe in a year or so you could have another competitor :)

This info is going out to teams on monday/tuesday. But to let you and others know now...

Three sessions per day 11am - 1pm, 1.15pm - 3.15pm We ask for roboteers to arrive about 2 hours before. So on Saturday please be on site for 9am.

Camping is on site behind the arena, as per last year, and open for teams friday and saturday night.

I dash back from holland for this event on wednesday. Fingers crossed i dont get a phone call, that my daughter has made an appearance. :)

Whats the latest we can arrive at the park friday night? We carnt come to early due to work/colledge but we dont want to be late :)

Now the new weapon arm has been welded up, Alan is presently putting Ka-Pow! (effectively Ka-Pow! Mk.2) back together for testing with a view to rolling it out at Wicksteed. Well only be offering it up as target practice for other flippers though, because itll be missing quite a bit of armour, particularly on the top. So, no Terrorhurtz! Mind you, if the flipper is running at even half power you might be unpleasantly suprised! Oh, and theres a new picture of the deceptively simple pneumatic system (not including the buffer tank) on my profile. Or at least there will be in a couple of minutes...

Probably shouldve resized it but there you go... The worryingly large black tube supporting the assembly for the purposes of the picture screws into the big QEV at the bottom of the ram with the buffer tank at the other end. Direct from the pneumatic mind of Alan Wood...

does anyone have a spare failsafe? the little orange ones
