Davids school has its fete on 2 July and the theme this year is Superheroes.
Come and be a superhero for the day - all weights welcome but static display only (unless we can get an impromtu setup for antweights and feathers to run safely.

Please excuse me if Im jumping to conclusions here but please bear in mind neither I nor the school can afford to hire an arena from RR to run FWs.
Karoline, I work at the County Council in Lewes and live nearby. Im currently looking for a venue for the 17th Antweight World Series event in July, so perhaps there is some scope for back-scratching.
I can offer a fully enclosed antweight arena, some of the best antweights in the world and a static heavyweight (possibly several)....

Following discussion with XFM, theyll be providing the Featherweight arena for the school event so were now looking for some teams to come along and have a fun, relaxing day at the school and help them raise loads of money :)
The transport for picking up and returning the arena is now sorted with the floor area of the XFM featherweight arena with FW fights (not full combat) and HW demos perhaps some pay to drive / raffle to drive and fun & games. Itll just be a nice relaxing afternoon in the sun (hopefully) and plenty of tea (beer) and cake .....or just an excuse to impress small boys and their dads!!! (Or mums) :-D

Hi guys, just like to say that yesterday was a fun day out. The kids loved it and thanks to Ed for the loan of the arena and to Pete Collier for bringing his ants.

Ive just got back home after a very long and tiring weekend but its been worth every minute.
I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making it such a fun day. The smiles on the kids faces was something to see - that goes for the adults and the roboteers too (I saw John beaming as he was taunting the kids with the boxer) :)
Special thanks to Ed & XFM for the arena and Pete for the ants (where was your costume?)
Ed I have one of your feet (!) What do you want me to do with it? (any Hoppitt jokes will be severely punished) :proud:
It was a fun afternoon, although the sunburn and the damage caused to me by jumping in the truck with new jeans on have left scars!!
The costume was tied to Thunderpants hammer :-)

Just to let you know that the fete raised just under £2000. The money will go towards books for the classrooms and the new library. A big thankyou also goes out to all those who supported the fete and special thanks for all the effort. In all they said it was a brilliant day.
I also give my thanks to you all for making it so successful and great fun.
