€¦and been looking at the ancient old panic attack forum for ideas and decided to do a mini-4 way style tournament, with events based on the systems of old, which are:
€ Fantasy Robot Wars (series 2)
€ €œThree Challenges in One€ (Sumo-Maze-Knockout)
€ Tag-Team Terror
€ FRW Carnage 1 (With just knockout)

All 4 mini-4 way styles will require different stats, so€¦

Style 1 - Fantasy Robot Wars 2

Series 2 of Jamie McGarry€™s famous tournament, which got several people involved, the stats you need are:

Body Shape: Double Wedge with skirts
Weapon 1: Crushing Pincers on the back
Weapon 2: Flipping Arm on the front (like Firestorm, also acts as Srimech)
Summary: Deadly fast black bot with crushing power, most of the damage to opponents comes from ramming. Highly reliable with tougher armour than its predecessor

NAME: Crash Bandi-bot 2
BODY SHAPE: High Box Wedge (more wedge than box)
WEAPON 1: Chaos 2 esque flipper
WEAPON 2: A rather interesting Srimech system...Its sort of like a mutant cross between Panic Attacks and Razers. The main part is a lid that bends from the bottom to where the flipper starts, but it has side wings attached to it so getting stranded on its side is not an option. Does that make sense?
SUMMARY: 4 wheels, orange in colour, very powerful flipper, reliable srimech...should do well.

Weapon 2: (None really, back wedge?) Our Secret Weapon, a Lifter bolted right to the front of our bot, but its a secret, dont tell.
Summary: 4 wheels, Awesome back wedge thing, Cool Flipper and such

Summary: Its a speedy box that run into things for the damned hell of it. The name comes from my investigations of LINT, the worlds fastest moving object (Travels faster then the speed of light)

Body Shape: Spinverter III-style low box with wedges on all sides, low to the ground.
Weapon 1: Biohazard-style lifter
Weapon 2: Extra adjustable pivot extension running on seperate air supply, to allow higher degree of flip for those annoying bots that wont go over.
Summary: Dave is a tool. Ignore THAT!

In all seriousness, Aaron is a tool.

Fights will be written on saturday or sunday.

Also, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light because of the theory of special relativity.

The particles become appreciably more massive due to E = MC2, which is one of the drawbacks of using a cyclotron to accelerate particles upto high enough speeds to create new particles.

Anyway, back to the tourney...

ACT 1
SCENE 1
Love Bite V2.0 VS THE MODFATHER

Tactics are simple here, as they are for every battle with this bot - spin on the spot as the discs rev up and dont stop whirling around until Love Bite is dead. :proud: The fact that my flywheels are much higher than his armouring stats is a big plus and if the whirling should stop, I can always use my great speed and manoueverability to get away for some space (the Scotland flag stuck on points the right direction BTW).

Well, hes faster, but ill try to keep the hinged wedge facing whichever way hes trying to airm for. His flipper shouldnt flip me too mcuh as its weak, so hopefully my wheels will saty on the ground and I can immeditly get away. When all else fails, Ill go behind the arena spike and wait for him to come to me. Hopefully hell fall for it and hell be flipped, and then I can attack him as much as I can, hopefully KOing him before he gets up. If i get under him with the hinged wedge, pit him

Alright Anthony, Time to Fight Patriot Style. Besides the back I can get under him pretty much anywhere, and with my speed advantage, which would be something like 8 to 3 speed or so I can get around the hinged wedge, another thing is that if he comes at me with the hinged wedge hes driving backwards, meaning he either has to change some wires around or hell be driving diffrent from what he is used, Anthony isnt a very bright guy ;) so I think that with both my back and front being able to get under everywhere but the back I can get under, once under its a simple pit, assuming the pit gets opened at some point, the lifter will take him off his wheels giving him no traction/torque or whatever. Meaning pit pit pit.

On a FRW note, Aarons top priority really should be Primary Tool :)

I still have a really big aching suspicion that Dave was out to get me that time. I dunno why though, there were much bigger threats than me.

I mean, cmon. A CO2 tank busting? Where has that happened before in FRW? :P

Most of that was a joke too. You need to know when to not take people seriously.

Dave, I dont have a weapon, so Attack is not there. Speed and reliability is my weapon :proud:

Lint is FASTER THEN THE SPEED OF LIGHT! You can see light go into your tumble drier, but you cann never see lint go in! Lint is also no ordinary partical. Its trans-dimensional making it apply to a different set of physics....

So I will count Attack as the bottom priority using the old rule when you entered two priorities the same, the mising one when to the bottom.

ACT 1, Scene 1

8 robots have been entered, ready to be knocked down to 4.

Fight 1
Grand Slam vs. Ultimate Tournament Rigger

From Wales, Grand Slam.
From Australia, Ultimate Tournament Rigger.

Both robots start out slowly at first, as Grand Slam€™s axe is ready to attack. Ultimate Tournament Rigger looks the stronger with the flipper, but the axe on Grand Slam has more power. Eventually both robots meet, as Ultimate Tournament Rigger and Grand Slam battle it out to get underneath each other. The axe on Grand Slam fires, hitting into the top of Ultimate Tournament Rigger, but no damage is caused, as the box with wedges all around gets underneath Grand Slam, and before nothing happens, Grand Slam is onto it€™s back. Daniel self-rights, but Ultimate Tournament Rigger manages to get around the side and pushes Grand Slam sideways, using the better traction. Another flip sends Grand Slam onto it€™s side, as Grand Slam self-rights once more.

Tom is on top of the fight at the moment, as Grand Slam fires it€™s axe to get away, but to no help, as Ultimate Tournament Rigger lifts up Grand Slam, and takes it towards the pit release. Grand Slam is forced into the pit release button, being driven by Ultimate Tournament Rigger. Tom is now wearing a lovely pair of sun glasses, which appeared out of nowhere, as he lifts Grand Slam up and onto the pit release itself. Daniel self-rights using the nitrogen powered axe, but Ultimate Tournament Rigger is already underneath and is taking Grand Slam towards the pit for a try. Daniel is trying to get off, but the wheels are spinning in mid-air, as the lifter of Ultimate Tournament Rigger is up a tad. The pit is coming closer, as Tom has changed his cool sunglasses again, how on earth does he do that? Grand Slam is lifted up and flipped down 6 feet under.

Cease

Grand Slam might have beaten Europe, but failed against the Aussie machine, Tom with Ultimate Tournament Rigger moves into round 2. Daniel gets 1 point, and is the first on the score board.

Fight 2
Love Bite V2.0 vs. The Modfather

A very fast start today, as Love Bite 2 gets away first, and comes around the side to attack into The Modfather. Chris has the advantage with the armour being above the disc power of The Modfather (because attack is aggression, not the weapon power, which is Power). Steve is spinning on the spot, as Love Bite 2 comes marching in with the front end, hitting into The Modfather, as it spins out of control, and straight into the sliding divider, making mincemeat out of it.

Love Bite 2 rams The Modfather more into the door, completely bending it around, as Steve isn€™t given a chance to get away. Love Bite 2 quickly gets underneath the wheels of The Modfather and pushes it away, using it€™s better speed it is holding Steve€™s hopes and dreams on it€™s wedge, as the pit opens. The Modfather tries to come away from Love Bite 2, but Love Bite 2 is in love with The Modfather and is giving it a kiss. The pit is coming up closer, as The Modfather€™s wheels are spinning in mid-air, as it is rolled down 40feet below.

Cease

The Modfather, took itself out when smashing up the arena, Love Bite 2 goes forward to round 2.

LINT vs. Crash Bandi-bot 2

From England, Crash Bandi-bot 2

Lint makes the world€™s quickest getaway, and turns the corner of the broken dividend and straight into Crash Bandi-bot 2, Chris has time to move before being rammed backwards, straight into the wall, before jumping away. Crash Bandi-bot 2 turns around, but Lint slams straight into Crash Bandi-bot 2 once more before Chris can move, as it is crossing the arena at a quick pace.

Crash Bandi-bot 2 has no traction of the arena floor as it is slammed into the arena fence and straight over with the force of the impact from Lint. Lint spins around, the front end a tad damaged from the impact, but it€™s Crash Bandi-bot 2 who is sitting on the camera tracks and out.

Cease

In a quick battle, Chris didn€™t have time to move, as the speed of Lint sends it into the semi finals.

Fight 4
Bloody Tears vs. Rampant

From America, Bloody Tears
From America, Rampant

Smell that? That be wheel spin from Rampant as it accelerates away from the starting square as soon as possible. Bloody Tears is coming out of the square, but it has low speed, as Rampant has depressed the arena pit release, opening the pit down to the floor for later use. Andy turns around and comes into play, as Bloody Tears tries to defend itself against the attacking wedge, but the speed is too great, as Rampant manages to cruise underneath the skirt-less sides of Bloody Tears.

The lifter lifts, as Bloody Tears€™ side is up, as Rampant starts on the pushing match towards the open pit, via the arena spike. The spike fires, sending Bloody Tears onto it€™s back, quick as a fast, Rampant is under the front and is using the traction to push Tony€™s machine backwards, as the spike fires in mid-air, as the invertible rammer is sent 6 feet under.

Cease

Another pitting, as Bloody Tears crashes out. Rampant goes into the semi finals.

Rampant vs. Love Bite V2.0

Tactics, Predictions, Other?

Okay, Ive planned my tactics for against the rigged machine of Tom, but Im the anti-christ and will win the whole tourny with this plan!

Plan Win the whole tournament!

First, Im going to reverse till I touch the wall behind me at the starting point. Then Im going to take off charging towards Toms bot, breaking the sound barrier just before hitting full speed, traveling faster then the speed of light and reaching the speed of LINT! Ill launch myself off his wedge, over the arena wall, through the lexan, and then crash into Dave, killing him, for pitting Tom and I against each other in the semi finals.

TOM AND I ALWAYS HAVE TO BATTLE EACH OTHER IN THE FINALS! ITs TRADITION! *points to the history of VFT2 and VFT3*

And I have to lose! Its tradition!

Ok, Love Bite V Rampant, looks like a fun fight, no big difference between the 2 in priorites, just my traction is better and his reliability is better. So basically this match depends on who is lower, Rampant was meant to be the lowest bot with the front and back being so angled that it would be hard for anything to get under it. Ill go in with the front, Im hoping after a little bit of tinkering in the garage I can make sure my lifter is as low as possible, Im not to keen on the pit this match, but if Im getting under him easy everytime Ill try to pit him, but if Im not getting under him easy when I get under him Ill just try to get him towards other hazards, and flip him some.

Act 1, Scene 2

Ultimate Tournament Rigger vs. Lint

In scene 1, Ultimate Tournament Rigger beat Grand Slam via the pit, and Lint sent Crash Bandi-bot 2 out of the arena

Ultimate Tournament Rigger starts to move forward a tad to get into position, as Lint gently jogs over to the other side of the arena, before jogging back to get lined up with Ultimate Tournament Rigger, Tom and Aaron know what they are doing, as Lint reverses in a dead straight line, so that it€™s back is against the wall.

The power is unleashed, as the sound barrier is broken, as Lint goes up the wedge of Ultimate Tournament Rigger and straight though the solid wall, melting a part of it, as Lint exits the arena, and lands on the moon.

Cease

All went to plan; Lint needs to be flown home from the moon, as Ultimate Tournament Rigger moves into the final of act 1.

Fight 2
Rampant vs. Love Bite 2

In round 1, Rampant pitted Bloody Tears and Love Bite 2 pitted The Modfather, both are very similar in stats, so this could be close.

Both robots have exited the starting squares as quick as a flash, as both turn to attack, and come close. Who gets under whom? Rampant starts to lift it€™s lifter up, and lifts up the front wheels of Love Bite 2, and takes it quickly towards the pit release. Love Bite 2€™s wheels are spinning in mid-air as it tries to get traction on the arena floor.

The pit is open, as Andy is taking Love Bite 2 towards the pit at top speed; Chris is trying to get a grip on the arena surface, but finds himself 6 feet under.

Cease

Another quick battle, as Love Bite 2 finds love with the pit, and crashes out. Rampant moves into the final of act 1.

Act 1, Scene 3
Ultimate Tournament Rigger vs. Rampant

Tactics, Predictions, sorry for the short fights in scene 2.

Alright, UTR is one of those super wedge biohazard-storm 2 bots, however he doesnt have the speed, with speed and traction in my favor I think I can get to to weakeness of these bots, there front corners, because they are both right there ance usually havent got the superwedginess of the other parts, I wanna go in with my back scoop like thing (lowest angled part of the bot) to hopefuly get under, and then use hazards, pit or whatever.

Act 1, Scene 3

It be finals time in act 1, who will walk away with the 10 points and who will walk away with just 7 points. No one knows, except God off course, but God knows everything.

Ultimate Tournament Rigger vs. Rampant

In round 1, Tom pitted Grand Slam, before moving onto sending Lent to the Moon.
Rampant meanwhile, pitted both Bloody Tears and Love Bite v2 to get to the final

Do you smell fear in the morning?

Rampant gets off to a flying start as Andy turns around to get the rear wedge into play. Ultimate Tournament Rigger is on the aggression and comes out after Rampant, as Andy turns and aims for the side skirts of Ultimate Tournament Rigger. Tom turns and defences the attack, and manages to get the lower front underneath the rear end of Rampant and lifts up to get underneath.

Rampant is up, and as the second flipper comes into play, Rampant is onto it€™s back. Ultimate Tournament Rigger slams underneath it as Andy self-rights Rampant, but lands, trapped between the arm on Ultimate Tournament Rigger and it€™s body, as Tom, now wearing another cool pair of sunglasses opens the pit, as he looks like to be taking maximum points for act 1. Rampant€™s wheels are spinning in mid-air, as it is dumped 6 feet under. Smoke comes from the pit.

Cease

Rampant ends up down the pit, but collects 7 points. Tom collects all 10 points from Act 1, as he is given a ¼ of a gold medal.

Act 2

The 2nd of the 4 acts. This act is based on €œThree challenges in one€ on the last page of the panic attack forum. I picked this, as it was the first not to be fully knockout, but it made use of the FRW stat system.

This has 4 scenes, the first is sumo, fighting against Shunt on the FAV sumo ring, which I will post details later. Scene 2, with 5 robots will be in a maze, and the final two scenes will be knockout.
