My home-made Robot Wars arena

Yep! This is all done by myself (except the Robot Wars figures of course ;) )

Looking good! I made one of them as well a couple of years ago (pic on profile). Great fun! Its now a bit worse off, could do with a new coat of paint, but whether I can be bothered when it doesnt really get used now. I wasnt content without a pit either, so I cut one out and hinged it :)

I did one that kind of got half-completed and thrown away... it was eventually going to have a real pneaumatic floor flipper made from antweight pneaumatics kit and a pit release system... sadly never happened.

If Id done that, I couldve eventually made a proper large antweight arena with fire even... maybe!

Applause to your creative talents all. When will we have the pleasure to watch a real PB-weight fight in one of those on a live event ?

(PB-weight = pull-backs weight)

there are a lot of AWs from the toys (Chaos ants, Dantomkia ants, Razer ants, Tornado ants), so if thats any good to you...

I will also be making an AW arena soon, hopefully with all working features: pit, flipper and flame pit :)

I was so bored today I also decided to make an animated battle using pullbacks - the battle itself only lasts about 10 seconds (as the camera I was using only had sixty pictures before it needed uploading) so itss quite short but looks funny nonetheless:

Im currently designing a PB arena, with working pit, flipper, a turning battleboard/screen and a fake flame pit (just orange and red paper with a fan underneath). Will post when complete.

get a blowtorch :) I have found the toys are easily melted... and crushed

Ive been working on the flame pit idea from when I made a wrist worn flame thrower at scool from a lighter, some metal strips and a touch n fresh areosole canister :)

I just put some fire resistant material under the arena, lit two lighters via a pull rod, and servo operated bursts from the canister. No pics unfortunatly

I bet that was sooo cool David, maybe one day youll have to teach me how to make your wrist worn flamethrower? Thatd be awesome. I always still think about going back and making a new arena... the minibots arena doesnt really like pullbacks.
