Isolating the RoboteQ's case

I expect many of you know this, but I only recently noticed that the RoboteQ AX2550 has its casing connected to its negative battery input. This was making my whole chassis negative earth which was a little dangerous.

Ive just done this on my RoboteQ and it works, although you have to take a little care with the 15-pin connector especially if (like I was until now) youre using a custom lead with a metal hood on the 15-pin plug.

I dont know if this will affect the warranty, it might be worth checking with them if youre worried about it.

So you did... two copies of it in fact, its just that I get so much spam that I never see any email unless Im expecting it these days.

One of the reasons I switched was to get an effective spam filter.

Thats good advice, Terry - Ive actually been using Thunderbird for quite a while, and its spam filter is getting pretty accurate. I still dont quite trust it to delete any mail in case I miss something - although my strategy is not perfect either as you can see.

Out of 151 emails this morning 4 were real/correct, it missed 3 spams and got the rest correct. Im really impressed. I set up a junk folder that it moves the spams to so that I can check. Ill give it another month before Im confident enough to move it straight to trash.

Or have you heard of this thing called Lycos you download a screensaver and it takes all the spam information of the computer and sends the spam back to the spammer!

Yes its the makelovenotspam saver. It downloads a list of targets from lycos not from your own computer. I use it at work, overnight.

That screen saver service has been discontinued.

Shame about that. They had a couple of chinese sites taken down whilst they were active. I think they got cold feet.
