Alistair, the IBC controller is already available in the UK. Pillow Torque was running one as a test. If you want one go to the http://www.featherweights.orgwww.featherweights.org site. They have all the details.
Over here an IBC is waiting to go into Kashei Besmertny«. Now to find time to do that.
Just costs you a lot of money. The pricetag in Aus$+ transport +importtaxes. For Belgium that was about ‚100 extra.
An IBC is an excellent investment though. I have used H5 controllers before and the IBC handles just as well as the H5s produced by george francis (which were also ecellent controllers), exept it can handle 50amps continuous and has the added input channel available.
As some people will agree, it is much more fun driving robots which are under your full control.
true some people agree but they have never had the joy of driving the old thuggernought.
:proud: there will always be exeptions
Weve already had a cat sleeping on ours. That will teach Mario to leave the box open !
Just check my profile... Our Mobile Disaster Area royally residing in the IBC box. (Behind His Stinkness you see the belly of Project Two: Hexem. In front of him pieces of Kashey Bessmertnye. Dog hairs everywhere - its molting time !!!)
Errrrr, you probably should explain electro-static discharge to your cat.
He knows. He sleeps on our monitors as well.
He also learned that fighting a car is not a good idea at all, that youd better not pee or puke against an electrical appliance and that horses kick. I think that when the Goddess created him She forgot to install the programs survival instinct and prudence. Hes got incredibly lucky bastard though...
Back to the IBC topic:
It is really a nice piece of work. Look here: http://users.pandora.be/P3/Integrated%20Bot%20Controller.JPGhttp://users.pandora.be/P3/Integrate...Controller.JPG , thats what we received. Its quite sturdy too.
Glad to see people are taking a good liking to the IBC :) My team owns 4 of them now :)
i have tried sending e-mails to sales@featherweights.org but there is no reply i really need this controller any help?
We had an IBC in Blue at the weekend, needs a little fixing, but hopefully its not too bad.
One of the voltage regulators was split in half. Got another on order so should arrive soon. No sign of overheating though, looks more like mechanical damage.
Great controller, makes it very easy to control especally with only one right front and one left rear wheel.
Jenny, sorry for the damage to your polycarb, was all Geoffs fault for getting in they way :)
Alistair Walker, hmm never received your email mate. Just today another team emailed sales@featherweights.org about an IBC so email working fine.
Just to let you know, since today, we now have 3 more people on stand by for an IBC. If you would like one, email me personaly at stu@featherweights.org and hopfuly make you number 5. When we have 3 confirms we order in 5 from Aus. So hopfuly will be ordering in some more very soon. Get in touch mate.
KR2 uses an IBC, no problems as yet, also yes the flip function which is great for an invertable robot and also hope to make use of the 3rd channel weapon control soon. Tho the relays are already wired up and waiting to be connected to something. LOL.
Mr Stu
How much are they? I might have a couple.
Rob
http://www.featherweights.org/ibc.htmwww.featherweights.org/ibc.htm £179.50 with free P&P within the UK. Out side the UK contact us for info.
Mr Stu
Has the exchange rate dropped or something?
We have a special link with the people in Aus that build them, also coz we buy in bulk, we managed to get them cheaper for everyone. This is a none profit venture. It simply started that about 5 teams want an IBC including myself, but £220 + was pushing it, so since were buying them in, in bulk and have a special deal/link between them and FeatherWeights.org and thanks to Team Scorpion, we can get them cheaper for us all in the UK.
Mr Stu
Stu have you recivied my email
Yes - and ive replied.
Mr Stu
New voltage reg fitted at the weekend and its all working as normal again ready to face Pillow Torque :)
oooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. PT is ready too but youll be quaking in your slippers when you come up against Pink Pig Jnr :)
How has the IBC performed for you? How would you compare it to other speedos that you have used?
I got fed up after repairing it three times so got a Sidewinder instead :)
Ive still got it sitting upstairs though, so when I can be bothered to get some more mosfets, driver chips and anything else that went this last time, Ill try to get it back running again.
