Where has this great robot disappeared to? Has Steven really put it away in the shed for good?
When will we see it get a complete Magmotor(drive) + Lemco130(weapon) + NiCD Upgrade :proud:

Hi all, still here.

You are right Aaron, I now have a complete magmotor drive (S28-150) and also an even larger Magmotor (S28-400) weapon drive, Lemcos are just physically too big. Not done a Ni-cad upgrade yet though. Just putting the whole Robot scene on hold for a moment, whilst youngun stops taking up too much of my time.

However Gyrobot is still fighting fit and ready at a moments notice, just waiting for a decent arena to arrive on the scene.

i know this is a very old thread but steve do you still have gyrobot now?

I realise this thread is old too, but yes Gyrobot is still in the garage disguised as a heavy paperweight. Quick re-purchase of some new batteries and it's ready to shred some metal......

King Penguin & Altus are the names of Team Combat Penguins heavies.
You would know more than me about the status' of the robots, this info is taken from what I could read on the forum.

Altus is Jonny's restoration of grim reaper irrc
King Penguin is mine and henrys scratch built, hopefully fightin soon, need a new interface and a couple slas

If robots that are in the planning stages get on the list why doesn't Eric? I'll be looking for a public enquiry :lol:

you can take altus off the list. probably wont be done in time and won't be a restoration of the grim reaper. if anyone wants the grim reaper and is willing to come to reigate they're welcome :P

I saw Mute last year, not really in bits, just needs batteries and ESCs and it would've been ready to go.

Nice, would love to see it this year. I miss seing that spectacular srimech that doesn't fail to amuse us :lol:

I heard recently from Adam in the safety discussions they were trying to get it running again which sounds a good sign :)

Mute will hopefully be back this year unless we do something silly like blowing up all the new stuff.

Were currently just waiting on the speedo to turn up so we can fit it and see what room we have for batteries, then its a bit of wiring and Mute will be ready to run :proud:
