Rc Wars date change

Hello everybody,

you may have noticed that the date on the live events thread for Rc Wars series 4 has changed from July 18th to July 25th. This is due to there being 4 scheduled events on the 18th, and in the interests of the community and the success of everybodies events, we have decided to move our event to the following weekend.

We truely hope that this does not inconvinience any of the registered teams as we are committed to making series 4 the best featherweight event to date. Sadly we have lost a few teams due to the change but we have also had new teams expressing an interest so this should be good for everyone.

Rc Wars will be at RAF Fairford on July 18th, running our pay to drives. We are also sponsoring trophies and the top prize for the featherweight competition. We will be making our arena available to the RAF Fairford event for featherweight fights during the weekend.

We wish all event organisers the best of luck, and look forward to seeing all registered teams, and any other interested featherweights at Rc Wars series 4 in Wrexham on July 25th.

Oh, god.... I guess well all be going to Bristol now. (I think the FRA need to make some more definate events list, and that an event should give a reasonable time before an event, to confirm its going ahead, any last-minute changes like this tend to just hassle us :sad:)

No dout Ill come to RC wars the week after :) should be a great competition.

We changed our event date for the good of the community and the event organisers. Rc Wars was the first event to be booked on july 18th. now there are 4 events on this day. we arent changing dates to confuse people, we are trying to make things better for everyone.

I guess Ill be there with something / someone / some how :)

Same here, I hope to be there possibly with an ant. But I guess there wont be much competition being as its on the day of AWS14.

Dear Friends

Unfortunatly having changed our date to the 25th of july we have found out that the Antweight world series is on and Roaming Robots plan to put on an event this weekend too. Also we have had a few drop out due to commitments and holidays. So we have decided to host the Series 4 Championships on September, saturday 19th. This date will make things better for all the Events, the roboteering community and we will definatly be improveing the Rc Wars Championship to bring you what hopes to be the biggest featherweight event to date!

We apologies for any and all inconveniences and hope you can all still make it. Dont forget we dont have a limit on robots. so sign up now! we look forward to seeing you.

EVENT UPDATE :

Firstly the Rc Wars Series 4 championships is still going ahead and is looking like it will be a fantastic event!
The venue will be one of Wrexhams town centre Nightclubs (more details soon).

Rc Wars will also be unvailing the brand spanking new arena. which for this event will be grade 2 ,and im sure many of you will be happy to hear its twice the size of the old arena measureing 3.6m x 4.8m. Complete with lighting rig and fingers crossed a mechanical pit.

We are also happy to confirm a fantastic prize of £100 cash for the Rc Wars Champion!

The top 5 Seeds for the event are as follows-

5- Predilator

The seeds have been decided by past performances at the Rc Wars Championships.

The Prize

If being the Rc Wars Grand Champion wasn€™t enough both the Winner and Runner up will receive a fantastic trophy. The Champion will also receive whooping £100 cash along with the number one Rc Wars Seeding.

Just like to say a massive thank you to everybody who attended the Rc Wars Series 4 Championships.

It turned out to be a great event and we hope you all enjoyed it!

Well done to Venom on defending the Rc Wars championship and taking the fantastic Trophy home. Also congratulations to Bloody L, their second event and they put up a cracking fight in the final and going home as the new 2nd seed! A well done is also in need for a fantastic Rampage 2 who lost to an extremly close semi final and they put up a fantastic show. Well done guys!

Series 4 was also the unveiling of the brand new double size Rc Wars Arena. Complete with 10mm polycarbonate screening, ligthing rigs and an active pit! the arena looked fantastic and we recived many comments along the lines of it being the best Featherweight arena ever! The pit took a bit of a bashing after micro chip repeatedly attacked the side walls with the spinner at full whack after being dumped down it. but no damage at was done, all it needs is a lick of paint!

Again we hope you all enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
