Roaming Robots, Bristol 17/18th July

Following the cancelation of ouir trip to Edinburgh, the following will be the replacement.

Venue - Bristol
Same format as Preston.
Accomodation, meal, and travel expence provided.

Running a Saturday evening show, followed by a meal paid for by us, and then two sunday afternoon shows.

Due to the RC WARS Feather Weight Event already planned over this weekend, we are provisionally only opening this event for heavyweights. However those teams which have feather weights aswell are more than welcome to bring them along for some feather weight fun.

wheres the actaul venue jonno (being from bristol i should know it)

also jonno went on the site to see for some info and its a new one
have to say im not keen on it at all. java script on it is really annoying and messes my browser up. i prefered the older one. also i fine it harder to navigate through.

The new Kronic will be out for all to see at Portsmouth (if I get it finished:)

Shouldnt be a problem, just some wiring and a few pipes to put in.

Im another Bristol Boy :)... But Ive already comfirmed my place at RC wars :sad: (and as I only have a featherweight I would much rather go to RC wars). Is there any hope of this event possibly being moved a week back??? So that the huge range of feathers in the area (midlands) can come down???

Is the RC wars event gonna be held in the same place as the RR event? (as I can make this one)

The Rc Wars Event will be held in Wrexham.
I would like to take this oppertunity to say good luck to the RR crew with the bristol event and hope Both Events go sucsessfully

see this threads been taken over by RC wars :P will feathers be running at all at bristol? i cant see the point in ours sitting at home.

if feathers were to run at bristol, it would be going against what Jonno told us at the FRA meeting. I dont think Jonno would go back on that.

does seem silly to have your robots idle though, but in the spirit of making both events successful this was Jonnos suggestion, and we are greatful of it.

Ill be at Bristol with EWE2, and will take Cutlet along so you can run away again with Alpha if you want.

I understand that featherweight teams are not encouraged to go to Bristol as it is right to support the RC Wars event. But if a heavyweight team is going to Bristol, and has a feather, then there is no reason why we cant run them if there is enough to have a fight.

Or someone like me who will be there anyway as part of the Roaming Robots crew, and will be taking my Feather Weight. I cant be in too places at once, and HAVE to go to this event over RC Wars, so will be playing with my feather weight along with the heavy weight teams who have a feather weight with them. Also ill have Pussycat with me anyway so im a heavy weight team, so ignore all the above anyway.

I can confirm.

I have no intention of breaking the agreement made between Rc Wars and ourselves, we all need to support each other.

This event is going to be for HEAVY weight teams only.
If a heavy weight team has a feather weight, then we will be running them as normal.

However unfortunately, you featherweight people, for this event only, we can not accommodate you as it would not be fair on RC Wars.

If the situation changes then we will notify you ASAP.

See you at the next one though for more feather weight fun :)

Can someone give directions from temple meeds (the main railway station) to the location. aka, which buses do we need to catch to get there, and how do we buy tickets (I dont deal with plastic full stop)

That would be really useful for me too, as I looked on multimap and its waaaaaay out in the suburbs. It looks like the last 1% of my journey is going to be harder than the first 99%...

Can you put Weird Alice down for a place. Although were re-designing the inside of the robot we should easily be finished by then. This all depends on us being able to find a 1000 psi relief valve by then.

Looks like its going 10.00 a ticket for anyone who wanted to know...

It looks like Kronic will be only fighting on the Sunday due to driver commitments on the Saturday. Kronic will still be there for both days though but for the Saturday it will only be there for show (unless I can get my Dad to drive, and that WOULD be a show!)
