We are always looking for new attractions for visitors to the Fete to enjoy, and ways to increase attendance.
We would be thrilled if any of the Robots would be able to attend and support us; ( and on a personal note, my husband and 6 year old son are HUGE fans, so I will probably get out of the housework for AGES!!if I said you were coming!!) Seriously though, Im sure it would certainly draw the crowds and help us raise vital funds. We need to raise £3,500 each and every day to support the needs of our patients.
Please contact me using the details given below if you feel you could help. As I am often out of the office, an email directly to me would be much welcomed!

Many thanks in anticipation!

ANNOUNCEMENT - RAFFLE OF REPLICA ROBOT WARS JACKET
Team Tornado have donated a Robot Wars leather jacket to St Nicholas Hospice for their Roaming Robots event at Hardwick Heath, Bury St Edmunds, on the 23rd May 2004.
The jacket is a replica of that worn on TV by Craig Charles during Series 7 of Robot Wars. It is a padded leather bikers jacket which would fit a teenager or small adult. It is black and yellow with a white stripe, has various Robot Wars patches sewn onto it, and the Robot Wars logo on the front and Robot Wars written across the back. There are zip up pockets and and a zip fastening. The jacket (worth about £200) will be raffled in order to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice.
All roboteers attending the event are asked to help sell raffle tickets on the day, in order to raise as much money as possible for the Hospice. Of course, you can dig into your own pockets for a chance to win the jacket and help support such a good cause.
Dont miss the chance to win this must-have piece of Robot Wars merchandise!
Regards

Hi Guys,
Bit of an update.
Things are just about finalised, a few last minute hitches this week, but we are just about there now.
Couple of things.
1. The hospice will be running a charity raffle, including the generous donation of the robot wars jacket, we could do with a few bits and bobs.
Nothing on the scale of Preston, cause that was crazy, just a few items would be great.
2. The event is out doors, and while we are providing two large Marquees, if any roboteers have small gazebos, or any other kind of cover, it would help make things more viable if the weather isn€™t kind to us on the day.
Many Thanks
Jonno

Thank you so much to everyone whos coming along, it should be a great event! Thanks to all of you donating prizes too.
Theres a lot of excitement locally, and because youre all coming, we have a lot more stall holders booked this year too; in fact, were having to turn them away now!
Were expecting it to be busy visitor wise and the weather looks like itll be great.
We have heard in the last few days that BBC Radio Suffolk will be broadcasting from the event in the morning, and SGR FM, a local commercial station, may be along to do the same in the afternoon.
Thanks to Jonno for being so patient with all the many changes in the plans, Im surprised Ive not sent him grey - hes been a star!
Looking forward to thanking you all in person,
Sue

A big thankyou to Sue, Debs and the RR crew who made such a great day even better.
It was fun watch the ladies fight with robots. They had never even seen a robot before let alone thought about driving one. They were true sports.
Cheers to Ian and Sue from Lambsy for letting Sue drive Ewe 2.
Mike and Kiara.
