Hello all
It is great to see a dedicated area for middleweights. Hopefully this will help to raise awareness of this woefully neglected category and encourage people to give it a go.
Cheers

hopefully it will!
Im hoping we will start to see more middleweights apearing at live events. Since Technogames Blazer has never been adapted into a fighting state, due to the fact theres no others to fight. All we need is a couple at live events to spark some interest. This weight is a good alternative to heavyweights. As they have the size and impact of them, but without the cost.
Youre welcome at the Crusade this year..
We specifically advertised for Middleweights for that very reason..
No apps yet though

Hopefully Phoenix will be taking part in some more events later this year. It has taken longer than expected to knock out some of the dents. This is one Phoenix that was not meant to fly! :)
When is the crusade Sam? I missed it the other year but would definately like to be there next time.
It looks like Steel Sandwich and Phoenix might make it to Worthing in december as well.
ok Samuel Jones have Tanto Jnr as a middle for your crusade
Hello Craig
How is Tanto Jnr coming on,,, will it be making an outing this year?
Craig and co..
Youll need to fill an application form in at:

Have a look at the roboteer area, and read the rules (FRA) then press the button at the bottom of the rules page for an online app form.
Well look forward to receiving them :)

would you run a middleweight full body spinner Sam?
just hypothetical at the moment.
about 25kg disc, 1000ish rpm?
Im now working on a new (possibly 2) new middleweights. Im looking towards next RW but would like some tryouts beforehand. If nothing else it will improve my chances by clearing safety checks before filming! Redundancy beckons in three weeks so for now Im collecting bits and tools. Linear actuators, checkerplate, stainless steel boxes, polycarb, cobalt drills etc.
Kyle, where can a completely new Voodoo Child put a removable link? I reckon that spiked wheels (with which I have fallen in love with) dont help my cause.

Dont see why not James..
You might have to ask the other Middleweight competitors if they want to play though obviously!

maybe we should egg him on, the world needs micro cold fusion.
With so much more seeming to be in the pipeline, I think that the next middleweights at RW will be the best yet. I hope that after the farce of this year, I can get myself on form for 2004. With no job, Ill have the time, if not the cash.
This is from a message circulated by Steve Merril yesterday: We are having a huge event at Lakeside Shopping Centre April 5th Easter
holidays for 5 days
A Mixture of schools where 25 middleweight robots are currently being built and heavyweights from RWs in-between bouts Interested ?
Twenty five middleweight robots are currently being built! If even half of them are finished it will double the size of the middleweight community at one go. Sounds like a good thing to me.
now thats wot i like to hear!
April? Id better get moving then. Ive been collecting kit for the next campaign. From what I hear, the middleweight competition is getting pretty hot with full pressure flippers and hydraulic crushers on the way.
