Liam has even got me to build an Ant although its not quite finished yet. Not sure what I am doing so I am making it up as I go along. I thought I would start off with a pushbot. Its 4 wheel drive invertable using 4 off S3106 with no weapon. Couldnt find any guidelines on how to mod the S3106 so I have experimented and appears to work. Body is milled out of a solid piece of cast nylon.
BYW Craig, I am on hols for your event so cant make it.
Craig, have you got a website for the Antweight World Series?

Hi all im Chris Cummins
Ive been doing antweights for almost 2 years now and my antweight is Rebel. It has a pneumatic flipper and has been success up to now where it has started to show its age and become unreliable.
a new ant is under plans and the feather version which shall have a co2 flipper will be built this christmas.
check out my site for more info (sorry for no recenr updates)

well run as all your events are.
hope to see you soon. and more events from you
Hi, all. Now Im working on building a Dantomkia ant, but at the moment, Im waiting till Christmas has past. My Dantomkia ants differences will include a slightly different paint job and, of course, a new name. But also, I dont know what parts would be ideal. If someone can pass on information, Id be very grateful!!
sorry tom

but if you are interested in ants the ant forum is here:
http://www.antweights.comhttp://www.antweights.com
its full all the ant fighters and we are all welcome to give you tips and advise :)
but best thing to do is to look at ant sites and see people use
there are some links on my site and theres always google :)
Chris just because there is already a dantomkia ant does not mean he cannot do a second one. Admittedly he cannot call it antomkia or simular but that does not stop him from building one.
Militant has been coppied many times and I am building tnd which is like a mini tornado except not made from the toy

Ian mc Donmald
I second that Ian. Tom lets see another Dantomkia antweight......The origional Dantomkia Heavyweight is my favourite (and my kids favourite) robot...Its just so coooooool. I just wish I had thought of it first!
Ian
Ian I also intend on a Dantomkia somewhere down the line but mine will be diferent in that it will not be the toy and it will have a full skid and pneumatics.
One day One Day.........
Regards
Ian Mc DOnald
i didnt say he couldnt make it
considering it is going to be other colours etc it wont look exactly the same
it would be an interesting fight between the two.
i am going to make a antweight out of the pull back toys
Hey all, Mark (Incapacitator) here I just registered for this forum. Anyway better say something about my robot. I currently have a lot of plans, ideas and models but no robot yet! I have settled on my design and have started building. More information on my website:

Im going to hopefully have a crack at building a mini Razer but with a few mods like a lifter on the arm as well as a crusher, Ive also got an idea for a horizontal crusher but time will tell if i can build it.
Right now all i have is a set of speed hacked S3003s and some 30mm sports rubber lego wheel like on Anty B.
hey all, just started building a really small (and weak as it would seem) hydraulic system for my 1kg robot (think they call them beetleweights in america) and i was going to use syringes as cylinders but they are clearly far too weak for mini hyrdraulics.
anyone got any suggestions over what to use for a hydraulic cylinder in such a small robot? only needs to take 100psi being heavily optimistic.
thanks
Whats it for? Surely plain old compressed gas would be more effective at that weight for most uses?
Try the robotcombat ones, some of the range is avaliable from technobots. Rated at 150psi.
