Hi guys, was wondering if anyone had any 3.2mm hardox they could sell? I'm after 1 sheet 550x135mm and 2 sheets 90x500mm. Cheers

Just get some 4mm. Far cheaper and easier to come by. 3.2mm isn't manufactured anymore.
Or do you take Creusabro 4800 which is also available in 3mm! ;)
I'm totaly dissapointed in Creusabro 4800. The disk of Valkiri 2 lasted only a few hits.
It's a lot softer than Hardox 450. To be comparable, you'll need Creusabro 8000. And that isn't available in 3mm.
Where does everyone get their Hardox from? Sorry to go slightly off topic here, but I'm looking to get a 5kg, 200-ish mm hardox disc made (10mm if it's viable) and I have literally no idea where to get it from, nor how much it'd cost... I know it'll likely cost a fortune getting it cut and the like, but that's another story!
I have aquired Hardox from Kos (TAN builder), as he can order full sheets.
Last time we did that , a few DRG members bought 1 6m*2.5m sheet of 3.2mm
I'm on my last 0.6m² now
I would be also be interested in 3.2mm as stated on previous threads,
As stated in other threads and posts. SSAB doesn't roll 3.2mm anymore. Our contacts advice the higher grades of Weldox to replace thin Hardox.
if it works all good
Please contact your local SSAB dealer, and tell us the results of your talks.
Over here we know we can buy a full sheet of whatever SSAB makes. And a full sheet is 6m*2.5m.
The Hardox was about £4 a kilo when we bought it. And a sheet that size is 415 kg. Add transport, and you know it was rather expensive.
Mario do you have any experience with RAEX 400? Found a local supplier advertising it as wear resistant plate, but got no idea if it's comparable to hardox... Sent him a msg asking about sizes and pricing.
Just got a reply to my msg, they dont have RAEX available but they have Hardox :D
Sizes they stock are 3,4 and 5mm ( I thought 3.2mm existed not 3mm)
Too bad they only sell by the sheet! The 3mm x 6m x 2.5m sheet costs €1800
I remember fairly recently that someone did an order for 1 sheet but split the cost and the plate between various teams who bought various areas of sheet. You may be able to pull that off. 3mm would be very useful for heavies and feathers.
Also there you have 18 square metres of material! Tha means its only 100 euros per square metre. Thats not bad!
I am also looking for Hardox 450 3.2 mm, 2m² I would also need already!
However, the offer was what I got was usually right outrageous...

I'd be interested in a group buy for either 3.2mm or 4mm hardox
Suppose you could always ask and get some money pooled together to buy a sheet, I'd certainly be prepared to buy a bit if something like that did come to light (and I had enough money to do so!)
Also, is 3/4mm hardox 'spinner proof' and/or suitable for discs or disc teeth of any kind? If so, I'll definitely want some too!
No experience with Raex, sorry. It's one of the options tough.
And SSAB never did roll 3mm according to my sources. It was all 3.2mm, 1/8" sheet.
It was sold as 3mm tough by certain resellers, as 0.2mm is inside the tolerances of "rough construction". No reason to make a container of excavator bucket with tolerances of less than 0.5mm?
Reax is used in TMHWK. ( not the bottom ) Seems the same as harddox.
