Does anybody know where these can be bought? I've had a look online but cant find anything (not sure if I'm searching the right things). Cheers, James.

Only place you can buy them from in the UK. Last week they had 120 left in stock. They are now discontinued. The part number is F006 B10 274.
Really? That sucks... Do they come up second hand much?
You get the odd one on eBay, but they tend to go for a lot which means you are better of buying a new one.
Why do you need one?
Hmmm, looking at giving leveller a bit more power- It's very sluggish at the moment...
bosch still do them, but the part numbers changed.
Ellis components told me they were getting discontinued too but as dave said they are still avaliable but with a different part number-sommets slightly different on em thou i think
I spoke to them last week, even though the part number has changed they are still discontinued.
Hmmm that's crappy... Is there any obvious alternative? How much were they when they were new?
Around £100 each, what batteries are you currently running, you might find an upgrade there would help?
We have 2 12V SLAs 22ah (just like the ones in battleaxe I noticed this weekend).
James,
I am currently fitting a pair of F30-400 motors from robotmarketplace at $109 apiece, supposedly double the power of the Bosch's at 2hp - 1500watts.
Should be running at Maidstone with them so wait till then and I will know whether they are a good investment.
The pair cost me just over £200 with delivery and £16 import duty.

Strange, the F30-400 is priced @ $239 .
The E30-400 is priced @ $109.
Peak HP =2.1= 1565W. Torque is comparable with the 750.
Advantages, smaller and lighter than the Bosch 750, easier available and cheaper.
Disadvantage, runs about twice as fast. So any gain in weight and size will be eaten with the gearing.
Thanks Trevor! :) Been looking at robot marketplace... Found some cracking 32 hp motors (which would require a mortgage). What motors were you previously using?
James
CIM motors - more discontinued than the bosch's
Motors are E30-400, my mistake

I have a feeling the old ones are the same ones that are in Leveller at the moment...
New ones look good- hope they work well!
Your batteries wont be helping, they will only be able to supply 80amps, I run them in UFO and they just cant supply the current needed. I would suggest upgrading batteries before the motors, if you upgrade your motors you will still have the same problem.
Really? I see... What batteries would you suggest instead?
Nicad and nimh are rarely used now, unless bought cheap from someone else, a123 are hard to get at the moment , maybe the only choice is Lipo, they can be inexpensive and you only need a few of them, making them a prefered choice for many roboteers now.
They Will supply serious amps at stall though .
I see- what do you use in Toxic Terry? I'll look into it... Is what sort of amphourage would be reasonable?
I use 4 packs of a123 at the mo, they all add up too 9.2 amps (2.3 ah each.)
I could get away with 3 packs (6.9 ah ) but as I use around 4-5 amps a fight I like lots spare !
If they go wrong or when I replace them it will be with 2 packs of optipower lipos from grant
roboteers get 30 % discount, they are 5 amps each so 10 amp will be perfect, here they are-

That's great- thanks :) will look into it :)
James, you obviously will need new chargers. I suggest the cell pro chargers as they will charge all chemistry so if you get lipos or a123s in the future you will be ok.
I have some A123 packs for sale in the 'For Sale' section if you're interested. Slightly better for the beginner and less likely to blow yourself up ;) - they're a lot more forgiving.
