that's looking fit, what's it gonna be like finished (shapewise?)
like this with wheels, its a monoque chassis
oh cool so did you cut it all out of plate steel and then weld it all together?
I believe all material you see is hardox.Quote:

thats awesome
Solid hardox wedges! it must weigh a ton !
Looks pretty indestructible
Are you going with planetary gearboxes built into the hubs of the wheels like some of the earlier versions of Tanto had?
Someone missing bits off their forklift :)
Going to watch this with interest
The whole chassis is 46KG so not quite a tonne, its only 60cm long 36.5cm wide overall body is 10cm thick
Although its not very pleasing to the eye, it's been designed by the numbers. Lots of calculations for mass, density and so on have been done to find balance points, centre of gravity, deflection angles etc
We are using the hub wheels as before, but slightly differently you'll see in a few weeks
finished version should look similar to this

Nice motors
What controller are you going for?
I don't really see a way of hurting that lol.

Are those motors Ampflow?
both Gary and Mario are right, without a wheel, its no good and its no good if its in the air or out of the arena, every effort has been made to prevent the wheel from being broken off but it can happen. for RG I have some anti spinner wheel guards and have an idea for some anti spinner wheels.
Yeah that was sort of what I meant. I know there's OOTA'ing and the pit, but with the big spinners being non existent in the UK it didn't really seem much of a worry. I suppose there are the big axes and crushers to worry about however.
By RG do you mean RoboGames in the States? Are those Ampflows in the box?
yea by RG I mean RoboGames and yes they are Ampflow motors
