Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Is it being held in the arena or on the skate park this year?
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
I'm assuming they negotiated new terms and conditions regarding the use of the skate park
Too early to say for sure but might pop along again, it's not too far down the road.
EDIT: Tony beat me to it
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
You guys have plenty of notice, somebody really needs to represent Scotland this year!
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
You could give us Merlin and we'll stick a few Scotland flags on it and compete with that? :proud:
Its already half way there as it is!
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Merlin got a bit of a beating  is it fixed Alan ?
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Ahh thanks for the heads up Terry.
Alan, fix it first, then give us it
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Its not too bad, just needs a wheel fixing, Thor will have to do better than that finish it off!
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Might bring SMIDSY down if I can get it together and I have the time off work

Hi,
Just for anybody that didnt know the week after the UK champs our Graeme will be getting married so hopefully we are going to have a really good Saturday night the week before at Deeside. Hope he will still be able to drive Nipper Sunday morning but I have my doubts?
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Hello Graeme...sorry Glynn...What your actually saying here is that there is a bit of a stag night goin on involving Graeme from the Big Niper team. I do have a couple of questions for you....
1... Are we invited...i.e. Me, Jason, Adam and Daniel Emmett.
2... Where is said Stagnight taking place??
3... Can we come to the wedding.
4... No we cant and i dont blame you.
5... I promise we will all be on our best behaviour. :)
Looking forward to the champs now all thats just been confirmed by myself. :)
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Hi Swanny,
We were hoping that you could sort out the stag night. Perhaps we could all stop at the same place that you stayed last year, thats if they will let us after what happened last year and we can try and sup them dry of champers again.
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
looking forward to it Glyn. We will sort something out no worries. :)
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20

Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Is this event going to be a normal knockout competition? I've noticed some EOs (RoboGames and I think RoboChallenge) do a double knockout tournament, which seems to me to be much fairer. Has this been considered for this event? I can see it might be more difficult for the audience to follow, but for the big UK Champs it might be worth considering?
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
We would like to, but it can't be done within the time that we have. Robogames and RoboChallenge both have 3+ days where they can basically run constantly. We have a maximum of 6hours of 'Showtime'.
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
I see, I did think that might be a problem... Would it be possible maybe to have bigger melees for the losers of each round? To speed it up (but still give losers a chance)?
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Looser melees will depend on the number of entries, again the issue is time as some machines would have very little time to turn around between fights.
Re: FRA UK Heavyweight Championship - 21st-22nd September 20
Okay, I see your points- just thought I'd put it out there :)
