Is it possible to change your user name? Or can a moderator change it for me?
I would be interested in this too - Relentless was a name I thought would be cool for a robot 3 years ago, and uh... yeah.
Alas, I'm in the same boat as Relentless. :D
Wouldnt mind changing to TeamAvenger personally :)
Email info@fightingrobots.co.uk from the address your account is registered to with the old name and new name and I can update this for you.
Tah :)
ha ha everyone is going to change their name now !! :proud:
not me
Why should I?Quote:

Dammit now I don't know what to change to! I suppose simply Ellis makes sense, but my alias everywhere save the robot community is Krustalien, so...
Hmm.
Tah :)
Thanks Kane :)
i'm gonna get confused as to who is writing in threads now all these names are changing :lame: :P
Possibly a joke that only my fellow Scotsmen will get, but should NewCo names not be stripped of their post history and titles?
Nah, post history and titles were transferred with the acquisition of the new username. 'k_c_r 2012' is to be liquidated - I had a wee run-in with the taxman :P
RogueTwoRobots may be the successor account having seceded from the U_K_C_R but it still needs to to reapply to FRA in order to participate in the common forum.
Send your application to FRA via Kane van Aston.
Will this see me relegated to the bottom tier of forum users, thus losing my hard-earned (aka I write too much) 'Elite Roboteer' status?!
Might get mine changed to K_C_R :)
I think the forum status ranking is all wrong anyway as it gives the impression to newcomers that an elite roboteer knows exactly what he is talking about, reality could be that its 1000's of useless posts thats been written.
where also gilbert grimm should be classed as elite for his experience but on the forum he has only written 2 posts :?
Or as in Mattsdragons case, asking the same question 1000 times. Or posting a sale thread then changing your mind.Quote:

I have made 2 robots (the first out of chopping board and wheelbarrow wheel inner tube) and apparently I am an advanced roboteer.
Quite flattering, really. I wonder what I'd be if I had the posts here that I do on the other forum I visit, on which I have 7,400 posts and joined this time in 2008. :o
To be fair, it has always related purely to the number of posts of a user (going back to the discus(?) forum days) and has no connection whatsoever to the quality and/or reliability of what's being posted. But I can see why it could be misleading to newcomers; I'm certainly don't consider myself elite when it comes to all things robot.Quote:
