Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Most people upload to Photobucket then link the photo using the img link from under the photo. Will make more sense when you use it yourself.
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
if you open the photos in paint and re size them to 35 x 35 instead off 100x100 then they will upload
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Had a good try, hopefully this should be the link, thanks

this link should work, thanks for ideas, please comment
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
It looks very nice, how well does it drive?
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Control from cheap esc not to bad very sensitive when turning, full speed quite low as only running 12v but axe control via 30 amp elecrtonize (not sure on spelling) seems to be fine.
ebay esc do cut in and out on heavy imnpacts looking to remedy this by removing all small connectors inside and direct solder if not just replace with my 2x10 sabertooth should be ok at 12v with drill motors
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Looks very good! Have a look at botbitz website (www.botbitz.com) if your interested in some new speed controllers
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Looking good. Just finishing off my axe bot. I looked at those motors for the axe (in fact I bought them) but ended up with Gimsons due to the weight
I have tz85a's for drive which I hacked myself - nice and light, work pretty well. They do have a bit of a dead zone around centre
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Thats really cool, hope to fight it some point soon :)
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Impressive! Videos please, be great to see it in action!

Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
Thats awesome :D We need to make ourselves an electric axe for ScotBot demos :proud:
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe

Got most of the parts needed, so could be done. I'm still dreaming of making a Bosch 400 powered axe robot but that'll take much more development. A Speed 900 or drill motor driven axe, on the other hand, is more achievable - once I've scored 'build arena walls' off my to-do list :lame:
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
What mixer are you using for the drive? It looks to me that its slower forwards than when turning, which happens with some mixers, some will knock off 40% off the forwards/backwards.
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
mixing using my dx6i handset no mixer within robot, but i agree does seem slow
might try my 2x10 sabertooth to speed check
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
turn it off of the TX, you will find it goes quicker.
Re: No toy new robot from mewbe
hi all just though i would list some of what was used and some probs i had
new photos of insides also uploaded

3 version this final version has plastic 10mm base not 3mm stainless, large cim 21v axe motors have been replaced with large 750 mfa motors( 41w quoted but are loads bigger and better built then drill motors must be quoted at no load ? )
12v drill motor drive
100mm robo whells
4.1 mfa axe motors
30 amp electronize axe controller
2 x cheap ebay drive contoller ( replacing with spare sabertooth 2x10
3700 12v batt
ar500 spektrum reciever
carbide tipped axe from joy minning cutter
15mm side armour
3mm stainless wheel armour and axe support
axe assy alone weights nearly 4kg (no motors or frame included)
weight was the biggest problem all the way whilst building, some test as shown look good, robot does self right
any one near by bingham notts for a bash around to try out its electronics in pushing etc
please comment thanks adam
