oh dear. I seem to have built a penguin themed robot
well, finaly got off my rear and got something 'propper' well, its a bit rubbish and will almost certianly be smushed in combat, but its slightly better than some of my other atempts which would have fallen apart if you coughed near it.
the best and most structaly sound part in it is the lifter grabber, which was made for voodoo.
drive is wheelchair motors, escs are 4qd's, the batterys are sla's and the armour is a mix of hdpe 15mm and 10mm thick.

Harry, don't knock yourself down. It is your first attempt and you have something that runs. That is no mean achievement.
Learn from it, have some fun and your next attempt will be so much better.
We all had to start somewhere and there isn't a roboteer anywhere that will not admit his first attempt was cr*p.

could only afford 24v so its just that. will hopefully potter around quite happily.

Hi, once again i am having trouble with interfaces, unsure of how to go about setting it up so that it works as finding a manual that is actually usefull is proving difficult. does anyone have a wiring diagram for an ian swan interface? cheers or a picture of their setup. i can't seem to get anything other than the red LED lighting up. am able to use a servo when conected up to the same rx though.

Also, very nearly done with this, i really am starting to like it, been adding lots of padding and lots of wood frame to the inside of it to keep it in one peice.

that was a few days ago and its more or less done now, just got to reinforce the left hand side a little more and try to get the interface to comply. if i can't get that done then... well it won't move :P
