Do you not read the For Sale section?
Yeah I Do And I Cannot Find Any Robots That Have Not Already Been Sold
I'm sure you'll find one if you look really hard
All Im Asking Is That People Who Have Robots To sell Tell Me
I Need A Robot!! Anyone Will Do Just Please I Need One
Tony (Antazz) has got some for sale if you look here viewtopic.php?f=166&t=5236
Bet you're having a right laugh over that Tony
Very much so
someone new buying their first robot? blimey is it that time of the month already
seriously, good luck mate. probably best to build one as you will learn and not end up with an expensive toy you can't fix propperly etc etc
i hope you can find something :)
You should start with a featherweight- your better building one but you should be ok buying a fw because a heavyweight will be very complicated to fix
Simple HWs are easy to fix, theres so much space inside them. Fixing Eric Jnr is a nightmare, takes about 2hrs work to change a wheel/motor. They're complex and expensive to make though, so FWs are probably a good bet.

What Bots Are You Selling?
Build one from scratch. You will learn far more
£500
Hmm. Without reliable speedo doable.
Come over to the House of Chaos for a week, and leave with a basic heavyweight.
@Tony, in all fairness it's not very clear you're selling your HWs and when I did find the thread it reads like you don't actually want to! :s
Crap about your ankle, I guess that's the problem with HWs, they are heavy....
ant feather heavy.
start with an ant. £50-100
keep the TX and put it in a fw. £60 without TX.
then a heavy.
you will need a trailer, a stand (preferably height adaptable)
that's like £500 for the stuff for a hw before you start
Yeah I wasnt too sure about it when I wrote that, but just wanted to know if there was any interest before making my mind up. Had a few enquires now so thats making me think :)
I have 4 HWs and dont have a trailer or height adjustable stand. No idea where you get these things from sometimes....and before you say you need a trailer if you have a small car, I have a Matiz.
That's a point Tony, a hydraulic height adjustable trolley would make it easier for you to work on the heavies
How Much For Your HW's And Your Feathers If Your Selling Any
RUC, just a Q.
Sometimes we get a new member here who doesn't use punctuation nor capitals. But you go the other way. Why capitals on every word?
And I can sell you any weightclass of robot, for a fair price, depending on your wishlist.
But £500 for a sparkling new heavy, will be an old school one, with a lot of 3th hand or obsolete parts.
A competitive feather is doable.
My 2 pennies?
HWs strike me as a pain, due to their size and weight they're difficult to work on, move around, lift and transport. They're also more expensive to build.
Most young people getting into the sport start with AWs, although they strike me as very fiddly (maybe they have smaller hands than me....) and then the good middle ground and popular class is FWs.
Also for me the fun is in building them but nothing wrong with buying one. You could learn a lot from it and have instant fun, but I'd do a little homework first. Although they're 'combat robots' once you start poking around inside they can easily break if you don't know what you're doing.
FWs often come up for sale on the forum, some HWs do and some people will even build one for you.
I know Mario (Maddox) and his lot build custom parts for bots and often help build other's machines so you could drop him a line.
£500 is a decent budget for a FW (5 times what my team spent on our first!) but most likely not enough for a HW.
You're completely free to do whatever you want, of course, but if I had that budget I'd make a good featherweight (and potentially win some things) instead of a bodged heavyweight.
Matt is selling bulldog breed, but with no experience you could easily have an accident working on pneumatic systems.
Might be :lol:Quote:

Depends on what you want and when you want it.
Ranging from electric axes to fp powered crushers. From polycarb showcases to semi indestructable BonX clones
That bonx is a solid robot. Unlucky at the end

It would, but the point I meant was that its not essential. Are they not also pretty heavy and bulky? Would struggle to fit them in the car, and before you say it no, i'm not buying a trailer to put it in :lol:Quote:

I've a few offers, so some might have new homes soon. New job last month too, so a new car might be on the agenda next summer, definitely would be something bigger. There might be a few hurdles in the way of that idea though.
