The 2012 FRA UK Heavyweight Championships Hosted by Robots Live!
Another new venue this year, and were off to Wales again! This time we're heading north to the Deeside Leisure Centre in Flintshire, the home Ice Sports in Wales.
This event will now host the 2012 FRA Heavyweight Championship! More details coming soon.

Alan that 3pm show really makes a difference to people booking travel arrangements - I for one to ensure I was there to present at 3pm would need to travel up the night before, too risk otherwise given the distance involved !
Just a thought for any events you're looking at running a 3pm show at.

Good idea Terry, i think we do need a nice up to date one.
If you have already signed up before, can i ask you to do it again, just so we know who wants to be in the championships, and to help us figure out seedings etc.
We'll release more info regarding competition format etc nearer the time.
The crew will be stopping at the Chester West Holiday Inn on the A55 (currently £45 per night).
will there be any featherweights coming to this?
and is thanks replacement for the kidiminster (cant spell sorry) event?

Saint should be there dosn't stand a chance in the RL arena, but it should be fun and it's the taking part that matters :uhoh:

Archie, this is a replacement of the Kidderminster event, so will be our last big show of the year. We will be having featherweight fights, although it may have to be droppped to one per show depending on how many fights we have to get through.
Craig, it will be abit better for you now as there's going to be a few changes/upgrades at each event for the next few. You will see at Swansea, but its in favor of non-flippers.
hmm I will try and get there with a fw but Ite worth being in he audience and watching if its only 40 miles away!

Is this proper full combat? (minus spinners obviously)
The championship fights will be full combat, there will be a tap out option so people don't receive excess damage, but by doing so they forfeit the match.

You wanting people to sign up if they're just bringing feathers? And is there likely to be a table spare in the pits for a FW-only team? Understandably teams with HWs will get priority, just wondering if it's worth bringing a wee folding table to put against a wall/corner.

For those that haven't booked a room yet, the Chester Northop Hall Travelodge is currently £36 on a saver rate.
Oh bugger I paid £49 I think, same place as you.
I think Holiday Inn is of a better standard than Travelodge though, so it's probably a worthwhile investment Terry :)
The Holiday Inn will be better, but its ran out of Twin/Family rooms.

The plan is to run a Tag Team Competition on the Sunday for those that have gone out in the 1st round, plus there will be whiteboards etc.
yer Tilly evo will not be going but the team is still going.
I suspect anyone in the Travelodge would GLADLY pay you £13 to swap to the Holiday Inn :) !
