Here's a test drive of Mr.Pink.

I feel I should put in more about the robot. So here I go.
It's 15 inches wide, 13 inches long and over 5 inches tall.
It's 10kg heavy. The armor is 5mm Hardox with 4mm Aluminium Plate on the top.
The drive is 2x Speed 600 Graupner motors and it's power is 1x 12v battery.
It's a FW La Machine :D
Good work Jammy, but did you mean speed 900's? 600 are a bit weedy for FW's
Yea mean speed 900's.Quote:

I like the rusty look. it looks like a robot that would have been in Robot Wars series 1&2.
Doorstop pulled put today, so you could ring robochallenge and see if you can take it's place
what escs have you got in that awesome machine?
54amps must be expensive
It's powered by a 12V 5000mAh SC NiMH battery. It like £40.
if its any help, I was qualifying on saturday and someone might be able to give you robochallenge's mobile number to you could ask them?
That be a great help.Quote:

theres this thing on here called PRIVATE message PM might be worth a shot :proud:
if people are sure they aren't private numbers, I'm happy to PM them?
I called grant on your behalf, him and James need to check what day dan was qualifying on and see if they have a back up, and they will let it be known if you can compete.
Cool.
Just to let you know that Mr.Pink will be appearing at Robots Live in June 17th.
Cool, look forward to seeing you and your bot(s) there.
Is it your first event? If it is, it's a nice laid back one to ease yourself into :)
Yeah this will be my first event and by that time I hope, I can get Rukia up and running.
You should have put this in the BG of the video:

La Pink Machine!
Mr. Purple isn't a character!
I know but in the movie Mr.Pink wanted his name changed to Mr. Purple, and I'm going to name most of my robot's with colour names.
Event Report
Sense this was my and Mr. Pink's first event, I thought I'll tell you how he performed. He performed very well. The one big problem is Mr Pink's ground clearance, he keep getting stuck on the floor and this kills his pushing power.
I won't give the full details of each round because I'm too lazy but I will give some detail of the event.
I have made enemies with the Toon Army Team, Tinyhurtz didn't like the fact, that I put 44 Toon in the pit and axe Mr Pink and in round 2 I got revenge on Tinyhurtz and put him in the pit along with Tiny Toon :proud:
I have also made enemies with Battle Axe, who picked Mr Pink up and spun around with me and toss me in the pit.
But later on when I was flipped he picked Mr Pink up and hammed the chassis in and it got bent, locking one side of the wheels.
But I had alot of fun at Robots Live National Museum of Flight. sadly I can't make it to Guildford because Mr Pink is not fit to fight but I will be at Leeds, maybe at Battling Robots The Experience who knows.
I like to say thinks to Dave and the other guy who's name I forgot, sorry I'm not good with names who fix my fail safe and Dave giving me tips on building. And it was great meeting all the other roboteers.

Don't take it personally Tony, took me ages to learn the roboteers names.
Lewis: You're welcome :) And yeah, Tony Smith (above) and Mark Lumb (Big Nipper) were your other helping hands.
 I know, i'm just as bad, i'm just winding him up
Thanks :?
Any vids? Would quite like to see Mr. Pink in action!
Or should I say 'Monsieur Rose' given the 'La Machine' connection.....
that things rapid man
what rpm and wheels is that on
nice bot
I thought I'll tell you what's been done on Mr Pink.
First. New chassis made from 4mm 6082 aluminium plate.
Replacing what I like to call Ebay crap grade.
Second. New bulkheads, I know Dave you said it will be a waste, but I have my reasons. The old bulkheads don't sit straight, because of my jigsaw cutting and of course more ground clearance, 5mm.
Third. I may change the gear ratio from MOD 0.8 20teeth-90teeth to, 20teeth-75teeth. Why you may ask? Well call me paranoid but I have been wandering if the ground clearance killed my pushing power or was it the gear ratio?
20t to 90t gives you greater torque than 20t to 75t. The 75t change will give you more speed, and you will lose torque.
It looks pretty competitive in those videos. I hadn't realised it was so small! In the pictures you have put up it somehow gave me the impression of being huge.
robots like satanix and bonx are tiny!
they all look cool in an arena
