Couple of Robots Sale
Right, testing the water here a bit with a few things which I'm still undecided about getting rid of.
1. MiniTrix - Complete Beetleweight
Only got this robot a few months ago from Will at Team Shock but have since wired it up and got it all running. Only reason i'm listing it is because there is a BW competition coming up that I won't be able to attend, so it will go another year unused and I feel that a decent offer may tempt me to let it go and someone can go have fun with it.
5mm HDPE chassis
2x 11:1 MFA motors with Custom wheels
Sabretooth 10A ESC
2cell, 1000mAh Lipo pack (maybe 2, but not sure if the other is working)
Drum Spinner with large brushed motor on 1:1 ratio via timing belts
Blue speedo for drum
LED, removable link etc..
Can leave a radio fitted for extra if required
Essentially, its ready to go. Would need to be a very decent offer for me to consider selling it.
2. Team Combat Penguin Antweights (2 of)
Antweights are not really my thing, tried them at a tournament we were having with the kids and to be honest, they prefer the wild uncontrollability of Rover so after the school are finished with them they'll probably be going.
Off the top of my head the specs are:
2 servo drive 1 servo lifter
2 large wheels
LiPo single cell OR NiCad 6v (one of each)
HDPE and polycarbonate
Suppose I could provide radio gear with these too for the right price, if I still have any spare sets when an offer is made.
Open to offers
3. Futaba 40MHz 6 channel transmitter and reciever
Basically, was going to 2.4GHz-ify it but really don't need it, too many controllers (6 at last count, excluding this) Harry made me an offer for it a long while ago so with this advert I will PM him about it, he will have first say but feel free to make offers.
4. FrSky Conversion kit
As above.
May have more soon, debating which direction i'm going to go with this whole robotics game, but don't worry, none of those directions involve me being any less involved in it :)

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Do you have any pictures or videos? I may be interested in your beetle.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
An addition:
Control System for a Heavyweight
Old control system from Eric before we upgraded to the Roboteq. Its from a wheelchair but has an added circuitboard instead of servos to control what used to be the joystick. It had been removed from the robot when I got it and I never bothered refitting it. Obviously i'm not sure of its current rating but it was running 2 x 24v wheelchair motors (i.e. what it was designed to do) in Eric before it was removed.

Also been routing through the workshop and saw some planet 5 gear (tx and rx) that my cousin used to use before he started using the xbox style eflite pad, so would look at offers on that if anyone wants it.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Could you provide pictures of the remaining AW and what else you're selling?
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
What else do you want a photo of? Photos of everything else will be pretty uneventful but can take some if you want.
BTW, the AW has one guy making up him mind about it followed by another guy who wants it, so not sure it'll come up for sale again.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Had 4 of these 100A Solid State Relays, 3 are now spoken for so one. All are still in box unopened/unused. Ideal for spinners. £21.50 inc p+p from Jaycar so £16 delivered as postage on them is nearly 2 quid.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Well, the beetle arrived safely. I got it up and running now. Only problem is my dad ended up throwing out the teeth for the drum while I wasn't around! IDIOT!
Ah well. I can always replace them. What size screws were on the drum?
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Ach! I did specifically say not to in my email as well!
I'll find out and PM you it.
Oh, and another thing. Max you said you wanted that relay as quickly as I could send it but you haven't given me an address to send it to
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Can't find it :( Off the top of my head I think they were M10s, but if Will is reading this he may be able to confirm that with you.
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Just spotted this- the screws on the drum were M6.
Nice to see that the beetle has made it over to the US, hopefully it might finally see a competition at last :)
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Cheers Will :)
That was my thinking behind selling it, I wanted to get into a comp with it but could see it being another year minimum before I managed that. Hoping to see a few videos of it winning a battle or two soon :)
Last 100A Relay still for sale btw
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
I'll take the 100A relay off you Tony (always useful to have a couple kicking around!). Any chance you are going to be in Glasgow on Friday night/Saturday morning for me to take the Tx off you as well?
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Most things are gone now
Have the HW controller and Planet 5 system still going.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Well, I've got the new Beetle working...until the battery crapped out on me. Also it seems the right hand wheel isn't getting a whole lot of traction.
Been searching for a new one but none of them seem to be the same size as the one that came with the bot. Where exactly did you get the lipo battery for Minitrix?
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
The wheels are custom, so probably wont find others, but you could always try some bike tyre or stickier rubber.
I'm not 100% on the batteries as it was Will again who bought them originally, but it wouldn't have been in the states.
Possibly something like this:
http://www.robotmarketplace.com/product ... S-20C.html
It has the same sort of spec as the ones that I used to use, or maybe something with a higher capacity:

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Rescued a hydraulic jack from the scrap heap in work today, rated at 1.75 tonnes. Will get some photos up if there is any interest. Free to anyone who wants to pay postage.
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Correction, 1.5 tonnes its rated at. Preferably to be used within the sport, but not essential. Any money I get that isn't used for postage/donation will be given to Barnardo's Childrens Charity.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Going by my inaccurate scales with the base on it its around the 4kg mark, but the base is insanely heavy cast iron, I would guess a good kilogram at least. Also has the reservoir on there still and is full of oil. It does seem to have an oil in (seen in the photo next to the H of hydraulic) and out at the bottom so might be easy to convert, but i'm unsure, just thought i'd try to make them a few quid from it instead of it going in the bin.
Again a guess, but I would say around 100-110mm stroke and maybe 50mm bore?
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
WJ did build a prototype with this kind of jack. Way back in 2002
Using a wiper motor and a crankshaft alike setup to power the jack. Return was to be done with a BIG spring.
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Good to hear that it can be done Mario, hopefully it will be useable to someone now they have an idea on how to do it.
Still available but will be out of the country from tomorrow until next thursday so might not reply to any messages but I do still have it.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Cheers Colin, have PM'ed you back.
Had a few messages about the hydraulic jack but its still available, just looking for postage costs. WIll give it a week or so and if no one is interested then its going in the recycling.

Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Give it to a charity shop, I saw one in a charity shop today for a tenner.
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
I took it from a charity shop because they we're going to throw it out and I said someone on here might get some use out of it, I work for Barnardo's.
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
No need to start a new thread here so i'll just put a sub-heading in this one
The I-can't-move-in-my-garage-for-all-the-stuff Sale!
Few things I meant to list ages ago,
CIM motors and mounts:
http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/...5-16204940.jpg
Self explanatory really... Ideal for a HW, slightly smaller than Bosch 750s and have gears welded on and motor mounts. Been told they're probably about £60's worth + p+p
Klaxon Motor:
http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/...5-16204902.jpg
From Scars disc, but its a hopeless disc motor really. I remember someone telling me that Gemini used to use them for drive.
£offers
Radio Gear and failsafes:
http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/...5-16205229.jpg
Still has the receipt in there somewhere, think it said it was £134.99 or something. I think it was used in one battle at last years O2. Includes failsafes (3), charger, 2 battery packs and all paperwork (instructions etc). Not the thing in the bottom right of the photo though, its a removable link incase anyone is wondering.
£ Sensible offers
Roughly 1mm steel (I think):
Large quantity of the stuff taking up a corner of my garage, its from an industrial boiler air system so probably good for ants or an outer coat for feathers maybe? Get in contact for photos if you want them, but its wont be very exciting....
£ Not a lot
More to come soon I imagine, when I see whats behind this stuff when its sold
-
Re: Couple of Robots Sale
Could I give you £30 for the radio gear
