Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Just sent in my entry. This'll be my first event in a long while, can't make the Gadget Show event later on but this one fits nicely in with my holidays, look forward to it. (also James, check your PM's!)

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Would've loved to have come for a nice relaxed event, but distance and the midweek date put paid to that :(
Hope it's a good one though. Could make the champs tougher with a lot of machines recently battle-tested, but bring it on!
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Battle tested or just broken........
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Isn't that the same thing?
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
exactly!
Its all ways good to give machines a good shake down before a big competition and it can be very useful for finding faults rather than finding out when your in the arena with LS4! Sign ups going well so far thank you very much guys!

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Hi there,I've paid and gone back to fill out form....I'm on a iPad and it won't let me fill the first box,all the others are fine but because I can't fill in that box I can't submit it.....any suggestions?
Thanks.
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
The formatting of the form didn't seem to display correctly in FireFox either, I think it's just buggy, you may have to use a computer.

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
James just want to check that I'm doing for this event and not the champs? Spoke to Grant about it but I want to make sure we are all singing from the same hymn sheet.
I'll probably have a wooden bot as well, a last minute build type thing but want to see if i can for the fun of it.
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I will be going to this so I shall sign up soon. Same robot as for the champs.

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Right, signed up! Same robot and information as for the champs. Quick question though; the page reads thank you for entering the Robo Challenge 2012 Championships at The Gadget Show Live now that I have filled out the form. Just to confirm, that's not meant to be there, right?
Thanks, see you there!
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Doh! I thought I had changed that, thank you for letting me know.
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
How many sign ups are there for this event James/Grant?
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I'll get James to have a look abit later, but we would certainly like more! Remember this is an awesome opportunity for testing before GSL.
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I would have gone if it were closer.
-

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I am free for this event and the days before it (if you need help setting up) but I didn't have the money to sign up, is it ok if I paid on the day ?
Is it camping again ?
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
Yes that would be great Dave :) il email you the details
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
What's everyone doing for accommodation?
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
We are all camping at the Half Way House. If you want to camp to just call them and let them know your part of the Robo Challenge group.
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I'm staying in the travel lodge just under 2 miles away. I'll get pissed at the camp site and just get a taxi back to a nice comfy bed :)
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
We're traveling to the UK in our motorhome, could we park on said campsite?

Likewise then, I'm returning by train on Thursday so can't really be dealing with a tent. I'll happily split a taxi with the rest of you!

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
The Half Way House Hotel is pretty cushy from what I remember, and it's about five paces from the camp-site. Get drunk and then just stumble into a comfy bed

Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
If anyone has any old tvs, printers or monitors etc please bring them along to smash! :)
-
Re: Robo Challenge at Fleet Air Arm Museum
I have a old big computer starter base thing I could bring to wreck
