What kind of Hawker?
If it's of the high end range, like SBS, Datasafe, Oddysee , Genesis pure lead, just hook up a powersupply with 14.5V and as much amps it can deliver.
Can anyone recommend me a good charger for oddysee hawkers aswell?
For many years I have used a car battery charger about 12A and charge 2 batteries together this has worked well. never had any problems, when I get home I then slow charge the batteries with a charger like a Pro-Peak This taks about 4 days as i have about 10 16Ah batteries.
Snap^
one of these do the job?

Sorry to but in, Craig did you mcs certified as I need to get some solar panels fitted before the rate goes down, have been let down.
Large topic change there
Would that one I've lined too be alright? If it is I'll order it asap
Re Charger that one is the one I use :D
MCS sorry no have the electrician stuff 17th and part P and solar installers and working at heights certificates but not the MCS yet it takes months to get that one sorted
The Feed-in tariff rate for between December 12th and March 3rd is still the subject of appeal and counter appeal through the courts, which could take up to eight months to resolve.
While you may get 43.3p per kWh for commissioned installs between this time, it's also possible that you could end up with the 21p rate. It's entirely a gamble as to whether you'll get the high or low rate, just need to keep your fingers crossed!
Installs from March 3rd will be at 21p per kWh, still a good return rate :)
Cheers, I will have to find someone else to gamble for the better rate !
ordering it today so just want too be sure that the 12a charger is not too high for hawkers?
Hawkes are fine, you can use whatever size you want with them, just dont use the charger on any other sorts of SLA.
When I hook up a set of hawkers to my power supply it pulls 40A for around a half minute and they're fine. I can't see you having any issues :)
Have a look here.
