they are pretty cheap as you normaly find them in most online rc places and ebay, about £50 delivered with compatable rxs being £7
links?
This I like :)
be warned, i've bought 3 DX5 setups, and on all 3 the RX's have failed, and i think a 4th is about to. Transmitters seem ok, but i suggest you avoid the AR500 rx's.
Rephrase, any gear good fo a feather
I have the Planet 5 setup, and it is very good. I don't have any experience with others, but this works very well for me.
Are these any good for a fether?Quote:

these any good?
i would say get a brqnd new dx5e and reciver for about £10 more than the saturn 6
it will work but spectrums are better.
I f the planet t 5 loads better than the cheap radio link ones, ther loads more reliable, better built, they have and extra channel, and it also looks more professional... The only part of the cheap ones that are better than the planet is the cheaper price! But yes the spectrum beats the planet...
giant god have mixing though
But they don't have instructions on how to use it.... But are you talking about the free sky one or the radio link?
I use radio link and they work fine, spectrum are better but these are perfectly useable and I've never had any issues with mine
I intend to upgrade eventually but these work fine
Sometimes it might be worth spending a little extra money on a good one with mixing and all and save the hassle and money buying a cheap one first then needing a better once resulting in 2 buys.
I agree but I would say that the planet 5 is just as good as the DX5e if not slightly better due to reliability of the receivers. The only thing I don't like is the sliding trims where the DX5e has digital trims so they stay where they are between fights. Not much of an issue for most feathers but I don't like them fior spinners and heavies.Quote:
