Re: Electronics And Wiring
Looks fine.

IF you want to use fuses to protect the controllers you will want one for each controller...this is usually by convention in the positive supply wire .
Re: Electronics And Wiring
Thanks, I am so gald that it works! :D And Because I would rather not cook the ESC's, I will add some fuses
Re: Electronics And Wiring
Would just use one Elctronize switcher for the weapon, switching a big relay (or 2 relays, one for each), you'll blow the relays in the electonize trying to run the speed 900's through them.
Re: Electronics And Wiring
Does anyone know of a good place (in the UK/online) to get a decent relay?
I've found a few 24v 60a + rated, but in the US or on supplier sites that only distribute.
Re: Electronics And Wiring
By 'decent-relay' a solid state one comes to mind: http://www.jaycarelectronics.co.uk/prod ... rm=KEYWORD
Re: Electronics And Wiring
Those ones still get sent from Australia, but the delivery cost is not too shabby as is delivery time. Definitely better to get a solid state relay than one with mechanical bits.
Re: Electronics And Wiring
i have yet to blow one of those. One of the few electronic parts that has yet to go on me. Even handled a mini magmotor stalled for a number of seconds. Just mount it to some metal to act as a heatsink.

Re: Electronics And Wiring
whats the mixer used for in the diagram? its that for the motors?
Re: Electronics And Wiring
it allows two speed controllers to be controlled with a single channel or stick on the transmitter
Re: Electronics And Wiring
is that the norm then? i thought that was done via the TX? can you suggest a good one to get...i'll need to get one
Re: Electronics And Wiring
I use a V-tail mixer since I bought the Planet 5 radio gear which doesn't have built in mixing (I believe). It works well, max you'll pay will be 10 quid or so. And yes, many more advanced transmitters have built in mixing.
Re: Electronics And Wiring
you have to be careful with some v-tail mixers and especially ones built into the TX as they will limit the trottle to ~60%. I've always used the GWS ones.
Re: Electronics And Wiring
Wheres the best place to get them?. I take it you plug the servo wire from your speed controller into the v tail / mixer and then the mixer into the rx?..those planet 5 dont have a built in fail safe so how would a fail.safe work with the mixer?
