Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
For sale we have:
a 4wd invertible featherweight robot featuring:
4x 18v (was to be run at 24V) drill motors attached to argos gearboxes, running full metal internals (1 of the motors sparks for some reason, if you can fix it great, if not i can send you the link to the shop on ebay where i get the drills from. The woman who runs it gives you a discount if you don't need the batteries!)
1x Spektrum DX6I with AR6210 dual-part receiver (in original packaging and with all documentation)
4x Electronize FR30HX ESCs
2x double motor mounts machined by Kenny so the motors sit perfectly level
2x Metal spikes with bolts and washers (just need sharpening up and cleaning). Made by Kenny again. Used them as decoration and to stop the bot sitting on its side. Made from some steel that Kenny said is popular with heavyweights
4x robochallenge 75mm wheels
the chassis is 20mm HDPE, with 12mm HDPE internal bracing. The lids are 5mm ali
1x dimension engineering ParkBEC
2x RC mixers
6x 12v argos motors (two have gearboxes)
1x 24v 4300mah pack vapertech (I think one of the cells has gone so if you can replace it, great. the cells are easily sourced from ebay)
a load of 24v UV 5mm LEDs that have never been used
1x 125A inline fuse
Would like to sell as a job lot but i know the chances of that happening are remote so make offers on what you'd like and we will go from there! It doesn't include the battery i was using or the charger as I'm keeping them for future use.
Im looking for around £400 for the whole lot. Postage, we'll sort out later!
Thanks
Dan

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
I've had some enquiries into the whole lot so at the moment, id rather keep it as a job lot. If the enquiries come to nothing, of course i will let you know about the BEC.
Regarding the HDPE 5mm sheet, say £5 then postage on top?

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
I have the battery and charger for sale as well. its a 22.2v 6s 4800mah lipo (dragonred) and a charger from giant cod. Also comes with the power supply, lipo bag and balancing extension lead. The battery is perfectly balanced and has only been used once on the robot to turn the robot's motors over.

Im looking for an extra £60-£70 on top of the £400 for the rest of it.

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
Sorry if anyone was interested but it's being withdrawn from sale for the time being. We are going to have one more go at getting it working correctly. Sorry again and thanks for the interest!

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
I'm glad you reconsidered, I think it would have been if sad you'd just 'got tired of it', waste of a perfectly good robot and a good builder, its not a bad bit of kit.
If I could afford 400 quid I'd have it off you, its like a FW version of an ant of mine :).

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts

Any chance you can post the link? Just fancy checking out the drills and prices.

will warn ya, they are a bit hit and miss. as i said before, one of the motors keeps sparking whilst the other 3 don't. I'm going to try turning the frequency down on the ESC but other than that, its going to need a new motor. out of the original 4 i bought, two needed replacing straight away.

Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
Thanks, although at that price I'll probably stick with ~£10 for the Argos/B&Q 12V motors.
-
Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
i did use to get them for £15 from someone else on ebay but that went sour. Just asking whilst people are here. Will the AR500 receiver work with the DX6I transmitter?
-
Re: Selling up!!!! 4wd featherweight and assorted parts
I've never used Spektrum gear myself, but to my knowledge, both of those are DSM2 so they should be compatible with each other.
