Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
:proud: Here you go everyone - an early Christmas present!
Can I just point out, this is ALREADY written. I promise you lot, Series 3 will be a real series, but for this could you just post tactics )
EYE OF THE ROBOT - SERIES 2
This is the start of a new era of fictional roboteering. Inspired by the FightingRobots fan fiction forum, I€™ve made a new tournament - Eye of the Robot (E.O.T.R). This is a great task for me to learn to write longer things, and put more effort into what I do, and not rush it.
This was an awesome achievement for me, and after beating robots to the title, Steven McGregor took the title with Killotine: EVO. Killotine intends to keep the crown, but there are 95 other robots who want to take it off him.
Here are the seeding positions, just to refresh everyone€™s memory:

Now for the arena:
The Arena
The arena is still a hexagon shaped arena with three starting squares, coloured gold, green and blue. The pit in the middle of the arena has a switch on the far left wall. On both sides, the spinning cylinders weighing 200kg each and spinning at 2000rpm have been removed, to be replaced by Hardox spikes, two ft long in sets of 3. There are now a set of spikes that thrust up from the ground, which activate if a robot is on them for 4+ seconds. They are near the front of the ring. The walls were 1metre high, and robots would go OOTA, but now they are 50cm high, just so people can score more OOTAs.

But what are we waiting for?
LET THE EYE OF THE ROBOT-SERIES 2 BEGIN!!!!

After being at the airport for 5 hours, waiting for my uncle, Ive decided to post Round One of Heat A now.
Enjoy! :proud:
Heat 1
ROUND ONE
Killotine: EVO (1) vs. TIRTASM vs. Ramthrax 2
Firestorm 5 (17) vs. Van Tango vs. Dallas
From Scotland, seeded #1, KILLOTINE: EVO!!
Entered by Steven McGregor
The executing axe machine is back from beating Obliteration, Drilla Killa 7, Tornado, Agro 3.5, Crusher C.U, Black Panther Queen and Storm 2 to lift the Hardox cup! Virtually unchanged, Killotine is a low red box, armoured in Polycarbonate and Hardox. It also has 2 LEM130€™s giving 18hp and 16mph, and it uses its axe to chop and kill! However, the speed is low in vapourbot terms.
From Kelvedon, TIRTASM!!
Entered by Martyn Forsyth
A newcomer to the sport, TIRTASM is a rambot! A rambot with 18hp and 20mph speed, 4 wheels and a variety of interchangeable weaponry; these include a 15kg 10mm Hardox scoop, a 5kg drum, a pair of lifting forks, another 10mm Hardox scoop with 10mm rubber resistance, 8mm Vanadium/Titanium skirts for flippers and another set for ramming machines. The armour of Hardox will cope, but if an axe gets the wheels€¦
From Geddington, Ramthrax 2!!
Entered by Alex Holt
Another newcomer and another rammer. This robot is specially designed to kill spinners. It has a Hardox concave scoop to hold a spinner on, and 6 Vulkalon treaded tyres for purchase on the floor and the two magmotors give some power. 24mph is the top speed, but to give the spinner proof front, the sides and top are only 3mm Polycarbonate!
Booth One: Steven M
Booth Two: Martyn F (using weapon the 5kg drum)
Booth Three: Alex H
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
Off they all go, Ramthrax being the fastest, planning to intercept TIRTASM on its way to Killotine, but Killotine hits into the side of Ramthrax!! The axe is slammed down, and it pierces the Polycarbonate before driving it across the arena into the sidewall. TIRTASM hits Killotine on the rear, knocking it up into the air! The axe retracts, and it moves onto TIRTASM, pushing it back and axing the top, creating pepper pot-like holes, but now its TIRTASM that shoving back, before Ramthrax comes in, to drive onto it! Killotine reverses off, and watches TIRTASM and Ramthrax shove against each other with Ramthrax slightly winning, before Killotine comes in from behind, to lock on and shove both machines. TIRTASM reverses back, ONTO THE FLIPPING SPIKES! It stays their too long, and is flipped. Killotine makes a hammering manoeuvre to the base, reverses to the pit button, and Ramthrax comes to shove TIRTASM down.
Result:
TIRTASM is pitted, and beaten first of all!
KILLOTINE: EVO (1) AND RAMTHRAX 2 GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!!!
From Durham, seeded #17, Firestorm 5!!
Entered by Graham Bone
Firestorm 5 is a respected RW contestant, with a record of 3 bronze medals and two semi-finals, but didn€™t do quite so well last time- it did beat Gravity and Giga-Byte, before facing SNDOS, and getting its weapon taken out, and flipped in the Heat Final. Firestorm is still tough, using an 8mm Aluminium shell, 3hp drive and grippy wheels. But most of all is the forward hinged flipper! It€™s strong, but 3hp isn€™t much, and a strong spinner could crunch it!
From Hampshire, Van Tango!!
Entered by Dave Sheppard
Prepare for the dance of death! It€™s a fast, boxy robot, with an axe used on a Terrorhurtz style rack-and-pinion system, with good control, and a new tactic - it has a lifting scoop, and it can be driven into a maddened spin, to toss its machines away. The armours thick and can fight well, but against a pusher, it could be in problems.
From Merthyr-Tydvil, Wales, Dallas!!
Entered by Daniel Stickler
The teardrop shaped machine will just make you cry! It€™s a fast robot at 18mph, has been made of Vanadium/Titanium alloy, but the biggest danger is the 18.5kg flywheel on the front, spinning at ridiculous speeds and producing 11kj of force!! It is a very effective, damaging robot, but pushing power is a bit on the weak side.
Booth One: Graham B
Booth Two: Dave S
Booth Three: Daniel S
Roboteers, stand by!!!
3€¦2€¦1€¦activate!!!
And they are off! All of them are fast, but none is faster than Dallas, as it launches into the front of Firestorm, but the angle of the wedge means that Dallas rides up it. Firestorm drives it to the sidewall, and flips it almost over the top but the teardrop shape means it rolls back down, before Van Tango leaps in with the axe. The shell of Dallas is repeatedly pummelled upon by Van Tango, until Firestorm flies underneath, throws Van Tango onto the flywheel of Dallas which sends Van Tango into a whirl! Dallas now hits Firestorm on the sides of it, sending the machine onto its back, only for the 17th seed to self-right easily, and charge into the rear of Van Tango, whilst it was axing Dallas. Dallas hits Van Tango, turning it over, as Firestorm charges it into the side walls as Van Tango brings itself up, Firestorm flips€¦and the first OOTA of the series is made, as Van Tango flies out!
Result:
The only music for Van Tango is the death march!
FIRESTORM 5 (17) AND DALLAS GO THROUGH TO ROUND TWO!!!
ROUND TWO:
Killotine: EVO (1) vs. Dallas
Ramthrax 2 vs. Firestorm 5 (17)
What do you predict for Round Two?
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
i dont know where to start telling you the inacuracsies in the first fight.
Eye Of The Robot - Series 2
I am going to say this in the nicest way possible.
Those fights are really bad.
