HELLO!
Hello Sam, Ive seen you around here. Welcome to the forum! Rather ironic that its another Canadian that first replies to your topic, huh? :proud:
Allow me to give you some advice - you need a little more detailed stats.
Top speed - whats giving it the top speed? What motors, batteries power it? What wheels motivate it, or does it use tracks, treads, shuffling pads, legs, etc.? Find out whats best suited for your type of bot. You need to include this in your stats.
Weapon - again, whats powering it? A motor? (spinning weapon) A linear actuator? (lifting forks) Pneumatics? (flippers and axes) What is the amount of kJ your axe or disc achieves in every attack? Again, find the right stuff, and put it in your stats.
Armour - Youre never going to get anywhere with 2mm Aluminum or 5mm Plexiglass these days. :proud:. Really, try and find some good armour types to use.
Most importantly (and rather summing it up, actually), Sam: RESEARCH. Find out what other real robots or vapourbots (such as Steves or Franks) are using for materials. Ask people questions (politely), and they will give you the answers. :)
Finally...I think the name Crushinator has been taken. If it hasnt someone tell me. :proud:

HELLO!
Just to put something into perspective; I used 2mm aluminium for the main body of my featherweight (only weighed 7kg) and it got bent in every fight. Particularly at the European Championships in July I had to take all the components out of it TWICE just so I could get the chassis bent back into shape. Moral of the story? Dont use 2mm aluminium, especially on a heavy :proud:
For Poison Stinger you could get away with having 4mm hardox for your armour if, once youve added your drive specifications, theres enough weight for it. You say its shaped like Thor but without the axe, well I believe Thors entire chassis is constructed from 4mm hardox so its not likely to put you overweight just having it as armour.
Your designs are certainly feasible though; they could easily be built in real life so that shows that theyre realistic enough and can be effective without bordering on the far-fetched :)

HELLO!
Thats funny, I did a similar design 3 years ago to build for real. I never got around to it though.
The weight looks doable. I had about the same figures as you do, all be it with different motors.
-
HELLO!
it was Tomo from the antweights 4-5 years ago at debenham that cam up with this design, i calculated it to 93.81KG doesnt include nuts and bolts but i think i can get them in 4kg
Only problem with the CMG motors is there so expensive but boy are they worth it

HELLO!
Luckily price is not an issue with Vapourbots. :)
-
HELLO!
jamie thors armour is 4mm hardox front and 5mm hardened ali rear. it would be way overweight if it was all hardox. shame.

HELLO!
I believe this thread was about pointing out (slight) problems with Samuels vapourbots?
I must say, I like the design of Quazer though. :proud:
