17/18th December RR at Bradford NMPFT
The last RR Event for 2005, before your well earned rest.
Come and see some of your favourite Robots and Roboteers from the Tv Programme Robot Wars at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television. Roaming Robots will be providing a series of 45 minute shows over the weekend of 17th/18th December 2005, which will feature some of the favourite robots such as Robot Wars Series 7 Annihilator finalists Ripper, Kan Opener, and more€¦..
Spectators will be able to see some of the 12kg feather weight robots battle it out, a crushing demonstration from the almighty Kan Opener, and the grand finale where the 100kg TV monsters will take to the stage and show just how mighty they are when they battle it out in the arena.
In the week prior, from Monday 12th December, visitors to the museum will be able to see the robots due to compete, as they will be on static display along with the arena, and pits area etc€¦ A chance to get a sneak preview, of what is in store at the weekend.
Also throughout the weekend, you will also get the chance to snap up some of the last Official Robot Wars Merchandise, get autographs, and a selected lucky few will be given the chance to show the professionals how it is done, and drive a robot from our selection of Have a go Robots.
Tickets are £5 each, and can be bought online via the website.
For Roboteers....
This is a small event, with only a few robots required.
Ed already has his xmas meal planned, however on the Saturday night, the seating gets put away, the tables and chairs come out, and we plan to have our own Xmas bash / dinner in the venue.
If anyone who isnt attending the xfm dinner, then we have limited spaces avaialable.
The meal will be all paid for, and we are getting a very discounted rate for a local holiday inn type hotel, walking ( carrying )distance from the venue.
If you are interested in attending, either with a robot for the event driving or static, or for the meal, then drop me an email : john@roamingrobots.co.uk
I will try my best to accomodate you.

Worse than it looks...
Not as bad as they say it is.
The industrial estate is all cordoned off and from what Ive seen round the back, its a mess.
