lipo help
Hi there,
Im having trouble finding lipo batteries for my bw melty
Im using 2 of these motors:

And will run them off 4s voltage, but dont know what capacity I would need to make it last the full 3mins

Depends how much space you have inside the robot, Tbh i imagine this would be more than sufficient http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...Lipo_Pack.html.

thanks guys
@sam yeah, that will fit fine. i tried asking my dad about motor to battery power and what capacity i needed, but the figures came out at around 8000mAh, which doesnt sound right.
also, on a completely different topic, would it be better to build a melty chassis (which will need to take a battering!) from:
a one-piece, aluminium shape milled out for parts and the like,
a welded 2mm grade 5 frame,
a frame made from right angle steel and plates of titanium
or any other ideas, i'm open to anything!

8000mah is definitely not right, most feathers only run about 3000mah. I'd say go for steel or Ti for the chassis aluminium just wouldn't be strong enough seeing as in a melty it's that bit that spins, although i'd maybe go slightly thicker than 2mm just to be on the safe side.

cheers sam
yeah, i thought that 8000mAh wasnt right for a BW.
do you think Mario is the guy to go to for welding and stuff
-
Mario's who i would go to for welding yes, he does get pretty busy though so best bet is to message him. Having said that i've never waited more than a week and a half for any work from him.

ok, ill pm him then
sorry to keep asking questions (thats all i ever do really), but what size should a BW be? my guess would be at around 250mm square?
-
200mm square or less really. Any more feels heavy and bulky.
