not been on there website in years.... just been on it to find that information, not only has the manager changed, but also the location and the website... if they charge to much try Timet.... but they can be difficult to deal with.
failing that..... just cut some real thin strips of the edge of the sheet your using as armour and use that as your filler material :P
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
Sounds about right. You can generally buy them by the rod on ebay (where I get mine)
I wouldn't buy a pack unless you are going to be welding a heck of a lot of material
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
We use 2mm sheet cut to 2mm wide strips. This works well.

Re: Titanium Welding Rods
If your welding grade 2 they'll be fine.
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
Yep its Grade 2. Thats almost a third of what the company we ask to do the welding would have charged us, then again it is ebay...
Thanks for the help guys :)
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
Who's going to weld it?
Ti ain't difficult , but has a few quirks.
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
Its a professional company local to us, Tadweld in Tadcaster to be precise.
Re: Titanium Welding Rods
I uses 1.2mm sheet of ti cut into thin strips too. This does indeed work very well.
