Minor Tom

progress has finally been made in the build of minor tom !!!!
parts ( x means i have already )
drill motors x
shell / hdpe x
rx and tx x
scorpion xl esc
parc bec x
batteries
charger
100mm wheels x
1mm steel to strengthen armour, should be getting soon.
and i can finally start putting the pieces together as i've finally cleaned out my shed to use as my workshop

what spraypaint would you guys reccomend to paint hdpe ? we tried polycarbonate paint but it just started to flake off after it dried

Hammertite spray paint for cars?

It's hard to find pain for it, it's annoying stuff, can't be glued or any thing, not a majour thing though, maybe using an undercoat or primer?

Try roughing the surface up slightly too, might help to make the paint stick better.

With Eric Jr i've given up on paint and i'm using vinyl wrap from ebay. Probably works out cheaper than spray paint too at about £2 per A3 sheet.

now i truly believe that the internet is trolling me, 2 30a esc's come up for sale in the few days after i spent the money that could have got me them :angry: :angry:

got the battery packs soldered today, now waiting for my heatshrink to arrive

where did you get the heatsink from?
