Can anyone make me a robot out of about 1mm aluminium?

alu is rubbish for ants, dont bother.

Titanium is too heavy even though Its really light My robot hazard 2 (see it on build diary) has some 0.5mm armour made of ti and its 50grams!
Could you get it hardened?
Then it would be strong

use plastic, much better

What thickness
will 2mm hdpe be spinner resistant
(for a bit anyway)

i use 6mm hdpe sides, with a 0.5mm ti scoop, nothing has got though that.

for a spinner the disc would be aluminium/titanium
The armour-about 3/4mm HDPE depends how much weight

not had the pleasure of fighting complexity but i have faced most of Mr wallers creations and not taken much damage, interta took chunks out but didn't penatrate.
