Should be fine
I ran two Argos motors at 16.8v off two electronize's. Worked fine
My current setup is 4x 12v drills at 18v, each side (2 drills) being controlled by a 30a Electronize ESC. So far we have had no problems. Admittedly we have yet to do any hard tests, but we have felt no heat whatsoever thus far, and they have performed brilliantly considering due to a mishap or two we shorted them and once accidentally tried to charge batteries through them!
Should be fine. :)
The Electronize controllers have seriously hardy,
I run 2x 24v feather golds through 2 electronizes and have never had a problem
I've run a 150w motor at 12v for a weapon, so the motor has stalled! The current must have been quite high but the speedo was fine.
I would say they are a bit agricultural in the way they seem to buzz a lot and their speed control action seems a little harsh. but sometimes you need a tractor!!
Just read back my post, be-jesus! Must have been tired....
A tractor is a good way to describe them. They're not very featureful, and rather basic in their operation but can take a serious beating.
The 15a versions (which we use in Bitza) have a burst rating on 40a and a peak rating of 270a!
30a of continuous current is a lot! (unless its a HW) I very much doubt you'll constantly draw anything above 5a with drill motors. It's all the start, stop, stalling and pushing that will make the motor draw lots, but even then it should only be for a short period.
The main limiting factor on them is the size of the relay used and the heatsinking on the mosfet. They don't have a huge number of fancy features but then I like to keep it simple in the bot and complex at the transmitter.
Hi, my electronizers have just arrived, that is very quick delivery. Which settings do people put them on (low frequency, high frequency or variable frequency)? And what do you have to do with the speed screw thing?
