Even though theres a lot of tweaking to do on it Ill give the updated specs of Drumroll now that its fully functional:
Name: Drumroll
Weight: 11kg
Power: Two 9.6V 3700mAh Ni-mh battery packs connected in series for 19.2V
Drive: Two 12V cordless drill motors overvolted to 19.2V and connected to 75mm blue wheels
Weapon: A 3mm thick stainless steel spinning drum with two hardox 500 grade teeth welded on. Connected via timing belts and pulleys to two HTI motors also run at 19.2V. Current ratio is 4.8:1 but will be getting reduced to something in the region of 2.5:1 or 3:1.
Control: Two Electronize 15A speed controllers for drive (may upgrade to Scorpion or Sabretooth in due course) and a Victor 885 for the drum motors.
Armour/chassis: 20mm thick Nylon 6 sides and bulkheads, 3mm ali base, 4mm hardox rear wedge and 6mm polycarb top with 3mm polycarb self-righting hoops.
Notes: Finally made an outing complete with drum at Robochallenge Thinktank. Didn€™t do badly but didn€™t excel so some fine-tuning required before its next event.

Hi Jamie so how do you find the HTI motors
I might as well add our latest one
Name: Aftershock
Weight: 15.8kg (new shell coming next year)
Drive: 2x 18v drills running at 24v on 75mm wheels
Weapon: FP Flipper with 32mm bore 50mm stroke ram (from cutlet)
Speedo: Scorpion XL
Armour/ Chassis: 2mm steel box, 1.5mm welded steel all over with polycarb base
Notes: Finally working after 5 months of talking about it. Ran in the whiteboards at thinktank and flipped 3 out of the arena:proud:. Also needs to lose 2.2kgs of weight which means a new HDPE shell is needed.
There is a very old pic on my profile.

Tony, I dont feel they got a decent run-out at the event as my battery packs were never performing to the best of their ability. This was mainly due to me only getting them charged for the first time the night before and then topping them up with fast charge twice on the day. So Ill need to cycle them a good few times well before getting a clearer picture of how the motors truly perform but I am happy with them so far
Hannibalito I-5
Yet again a re-incarnation of this old hand.
Weight: Currently less than 12 Kg.
Drive: 2 speed 900s capable of running 7.2-40V ,90mm wheels. Top speed @24V 50km/h
Speedo Scorpion XXL
Weapon, the old 32mm bore X 75mm stroke ram that forms the heart of Hannibalito I ,with steel buffertank and 12 oz CO2 bottle.
Chassis. Steel T-Form Chassis, common for the Hannibalito class robots.
Armor, 10mm HDPE bended and welded into a shell.

Isnt it a little bit steep to get under anything Mario?

Thats still to be welded on. But with kilos to play, I dont see the problem
