Here's a heavyweight for sale. Looks like a thwackbot armed with a diamond saw blade. Name on the side says "Hit Man".

Seems a lot considering the batteries and radio will be no good, and probably running 4QDs. I guess the 3x Bosch's are worth having. Probably OK for somebody to have a bit of fun with in the arena.
This blokes in cookoo land with that price Lol
Prizephita MK2 is now for sale on Ebay!

Wow £300
Bloody hell, I am sitting on a fortune in my garage at those rates
Might throw SMIDSY through ebay. Don't have the time or cash to play with it
It was sitting on £86 with 7 minutes left, and I thought that was a crazy amount. Totally not worth it, especially when a fully working heavyweight sold for the same amount just last week :p
It appears, if it's been on the TV then it's worth cash. Stick Smidsy on.
Interest in robots is growing.
I might buy SMIDSY. Got a link Gary?
That robot wasn't great back then, it's just a shell that looks in bad condition too

Don't doubt that Clive but it made me smile to realise how far tech has come that radio interference isn't even considered an issue these days.
Radio interference or not, they still wouldn't stop my pit magnet from working Gary
Dont recognise the charger from the picture, but really anything advertised as a LiPo charger should balance charge - otherwise its unfit for purpose.
Not mine but might interest those looking at heavy spinners
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lynch-DC-m...3D191154591960
no point, they don't accept any other teams who enter a spinner anyway.
That's a tad harsh
but true.
That's conveniently located about 20 minutes from my parents' place :)
Why are they not accepting any other team building spinners? Maybe they decided that there wasn't enough time to build a spinner from scratch for this series.
They did accept other teams building spinners, including those from scratch. I know of one that went together in about five weeks and gave a good account of itself. It just came down to whether or not your robot was interesting enough for TV and whether they already filled their quotas for particular weapon types.
Mine was the same as carbide and ironside so I suppose they didn't want 3 the same , shame I got the impression it was all great and then was told it wasn't what they were looking for after I had all the bits to build it. They're all sold now anyway as I have enough robot crap piled up everywhere.
Carbide and ironside both use bars but the similarities end their really. Sorry to hear you had a problem terry
What's Ironside? Any pics about?
I understand that there as a quota for every weapon type so I guess once its filled they would not accept any more.
If there is another competition, there will be more episodes and so more robots required....
You'll see Ironside when round 4 airs
So who bought the lynch motor?
Went for £310 which looks strong money

Not sure if useful to anyone. Was tempted to take it for a project at this end but I have too many projects as it is.
I have spotted this robot project on e bay if anyone is interested

That is genuinely terrifying.
