For those that have it, perhaps install the tapatalk mod for tapatalk app users? That would take care of the image problem k_c_r is having (provided he has tapatalk).
Is there any way of unlocking build thread posts? Just got this message on one of my old ones:

This topic is too old to reply, so, it's locked now. Thanks.
Try now.
Still locked I'm afraid, it's the one titled Flux, here's a screenshot of the bottom of the page with 'locked' button hover:

What are the specifications and build guide lines of an Beetle weight arena?
This is intended for use in a university so I was guessing something like 1/2 to 1 polycarb walls and roof with metal, probably steel, floor.
This really depends if you intend on running spinning weaponry. Have a look at the Robotic Event Safety document in the rules and safety section of the website. Specifically class 2F and class 3F arenas.
Yes, we have been going through that document with our head of safety at uni trying to work out what is viable and how it would fit within the universities insurance.
The initial thought was to make it a full Class 1 Arena just for beetles and Ants. It seemed silly not to go all out especially if this weight class doesn't currently have a proper arena. (I am going by the beetle weight forum posts)
I have been putting a draft document together that covers beetleweight arena specifications however never finished it as there has not been a particularly high level of interest. I'll polish this up over the next week and get it over to you.
Thanks :) If I can get this inter-uni competition off the ground there should be an big uptake in the beetle weight class.

Control
Where a driver demonstrates a good level of precision in his driving, for instance an attack is started on an opponent who tries to veer away but the attack is taken to full contract, or conversely, an attack by a robot is attempted but due to good avoidance by its opponent the attack fails.
Well spotted. I've noticed a few others and will be getting them corrected.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Has the Bump Topic option been removed, or am I just being blind?
I wasn't aware of a bump topic option!
It's mentioned in the FAQs
I've changed the setting from 10 days to 3. The option to bump posts does not display until this period has passed.
Hi
I was wondering would it be possible to have on the forum, a list of up and coming events (with a brief description) in chronological order?
As the events threads are arranged in order by the last post, this makes finding the current events tricky.
The idea is that after the event has passed the entry would be deleted from the list.
It would not be something we would post on but would be event information and instructions on how to enter robots for it via other links. that kind of thing.
What do people think?
There something like that on the main FRA page: http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/events
It's only got four upcoming events currently but I'm assuming these get updated once an event passes and whenever another one is confirmed. There is a link to sign up as well when you click on a specific event.
There does need to be something, the event threads easily get lost.
Yes, the website front page has a ticker on the right with the events too.
Some points highlighted.

This is provided through the event section of the website, it is not possible to order the threads on the forum in that way.
has it been mentioned the clocks went forwards a while ago.
the fra clocks are 1 hour behind time
You can change the timezone setting in the User Control Panel to account for British Summer Time.
ah cheers jamie
is it possible to have the live events discussion tidied up, maybe separate events that have now past and events that are yet to happen, maybe keep them in chronological order?
Hi Craig
I Had a request on this point or similar.
I'm afraid the chances are,
THE MAN FROM DEL MONTE HE SAY...........................................NO
can't which just 'sticky' upcoming events to the top, as soon as its passed let it naturally go?
Upcoming events are now sticky'd, however note that events have a link to the forum from the page on the website. No need to search, just click the link.
