SMASH!!
These two relatively equally-matched rammers get off to a fast start in this promising bout, with Flick of the Wrist having the advantage in power and the fact that it has those lifting forks, while Danny€™s less powerful Crimson Thunder has skirts at the sides while the seed has a large ground clearance which Danny immediately exploits at the beginning of this match, using that four wheel drive to out-manoeuvre Flick of the Wrist and get around to the side. Now that Danny is in underneath the seeded machine he pushes it across the arena and unceremoniously dumps Flick of the Wrist onto the killsaws! BZZT! The six wheel drive battering ram is flung across the arena, but quickly recovers to ram Crimson Thunder from the side, not managing to get the forks underneath this time, but still pinning Danny against the barrier for a few moments to rack up the points should this go to a judge€™s decision. Finally Flick of the Wrist releases Crimson Thunder from its momentary prison and Danny shoots off and away, then quickly comes back around to try and make advantage of the angled rear of Flick of the Wrist, but this time Martijn dodges the attack and instead slips his diamond-tipped forks in underneath the inverted wedge and lifts Crimson Thunder€™s rear wheels off the ground! They spin helplessly in the air, but they need to be on the ground to be of any use, and now Martijn powers forward to slam Crimson Thunder€™s top panel into the barrier with a loud slam! Now Crimson Thunder falls back down on top of Flick of the Wrist and Martijn reverses away, and in doing so his top-exposed wheels roll Crimson Thunder over the top of the robot so that the angled rear is in the centre of Crimson Thunder€™s base plate, and now Flick rams Danny into the pit release button and turns him over in one go. Danny now gets under the side ground clearance of Flick of the Wrist though and once again powers across the arena, slamming Flick of the Wrist into the barrier at great force and causing Martijn€™s successful machine up and over in the process! But like Crimson Thunder Flick of the Wrist works just as well the other way up and Martijn drives into the side of Crimson Thunder, this time succeeding in getting the diamond tipped spike sunder Crimson Thunder€™s hinged skirts and then turning Danny€™s rammer up and over and in doing so pushes the newer bot onto the killsaws! BZZT! Another shower of sparks and Crimson Thunder is spun around like a top, but keeps its balance and avoids Flick of the Wrist€™s front spikes for once, slipping in underneath the clearance just to the right of them and pushes Martijn over to the other corner and so onto another set of dangerously sparky killsaws! BZZT! Flick is bounced onto its side and then back down onto its wheels, but as usual Martijn is once again off the mark like a bullet out of a gun again and gets under the inverted wedge of Crimson Thunder for a second time, once more driving forwards with force to turn the surprisingly persistent newcomer over again, this time stacking it on the arena wall. But there€™s that 30 second rule, and despite an attempt to OOTA Crimson Thunder with the lifting forks there€™s no flipping spike there to help Martijn like last season, so this time Crimson Thunder comes back down on top of Flick and like earlier is rammed backwards across the arena and is flipped, but this time he gets stacked on the opposite wall! Another vain attempt to OOTA Danny€™s invertible rammer fails and this time Crimson Thunder lands side on to Flick, but turns to get under the side ground clearance and push Flick of the Wrist across the arena towards the pit! The crowd gasp, but Flick still has two wheels on the ground has one of the spikes dug into a wheel hole on the top of Crimson Thunder with just 10 seconds to go!
10...
Crimson Thunder€™s forked wheel stops it going fast and Flick guns it with those two rear wheels, but Crimson Thunder is slowly edging Martijn towards the pit, the question is- is that fast enough?
9...
8...
7...
Only a few metres from the pit now, but the determined look on the seeded driver€™s face shows he€™s not giving up just yet.
6...
5...
4...
And Crimson Thunder has come unbelievably close to its goal, with Flick€™s angled rear just centimetres away from that chasm that has seen the elimination of so many competitors this season!
3...
2...
CEASE!
Flick€™s grip slips and Crimson Thunder surges the rest of the way, pitting Flick and plunging in after him, but it was a second too late!
Judge€™s Decision:
Damage:
Flick of the Wrist- 5 x 4= 20
Crimson Thunder- 2 x 4= 8
Aggression:
Flick of the Wrist- 9 x 3= 27
Crimson Thunder- 8 x 3= 24
Control:
Flick of the Wrist- 6 x 2= 12
Crimson Thunder- 8 x 2= 16
Dominance:
Flick of the Wrist- 7 x 1= 7
Crimson Thunder- 5 x 1= 5
Overall:
Flick of the Wrist- 20 + 27 + 12 + 7= 66pts
Crimson Thunder- 8 + 24 + 16 + 5= 53pts
And thus by a 13 point margin Crimson Thunder is eliminated; Flick of the Wrist (12) goes through to the heat final!
And now we enter the coliseum for the second heat semi-final of Heat K. Already through to the heat final is the number #12 seed Flick of the Wrist, the question is who will follow him through?

SMASH!!
These two machines both put on a relatively good showing in the first round of the heat, with Dante removing the base panel from The Rock whilst toppling the victim out of the arena while Rupture lifted and pitted No Objections after a little tussle with Crimson Thunder, who has now been eaten out of competition by the number #12 seed Flick of the Wrist. Dante is a pretty hard robot to lift, and Andy finds that out at the very start of this bout as he manages to get the lifting arm under the spinning disc of Dante. He lifts, but Dante slides off the undamaging weapon and spins up its own, far more dangerous tool of destruction! Rupture backs away a bit, but in comes Dante and with a rather large SMACK Alex brings that disc into play on the front wedge of Rupture, flipping it up (but not over) and almost certainly loosening something inside Rupture. However the drive of Rupture seems to be OK and Andy drives in underneath Dante again, this time succeeding in lifting Alex€™s machine up into the air, from where it falls onto its back only to quickly self-right and go back on the offensive, knocking against Rupture€™s side panel this time! And with that hit Rupture is knocked over onto its back, from where it uses that magmotor driven arm to right itself, but once its back on its wheels it seems to only be moving in circles! It seems that powerful hit from Dante€™s disc knocked out half the drive and now Rupture is moving on just the one S28-400! Now with limited mobility Rupture tries to get that lifter in underneath Dante again, but it€™s no good and Dante just stands back while the flywheel spins up before Alex drives forwards at full speed and slams into the side of Rupture again, once more sending it tumbling up and over onto its back! Andy self-rights again, but can€™t steer to attack Dante and before Andy can do anything about it that disc is spun up to full speed yet again and Alex drives in, this time hitting the rear panel of Rupture and flipping it up into the air! But once again Rupture doesn€™t quite go all the way over and lands on its wheels, and this time Dante is near enough for Andy to get in underneath and lift the spinner-armed machine into the air! He tries to head towards the pit, but with drive only on one side he can€™t get there and Dante falls off the lifter with a CRASH as he hits the arena floor with the disc spinning, taking a large chunk out of the ground! Alex bounces over from the hit, but then self-rights with the top srimech, but lands on top of Rupture, who lifts him over backwards with its own magmotor-driven weaponry! But once more Dante self-rights, and this time he doesn€™t land on Rupture, but brings his disc around and slams it into the side panel of Rupture, once again sending it over onto its back! Rupture self-rights, but Dante spins up again before slamming into the rear panel and this time Rupture does a forwards roll across the arena and slams against the pit release button! The siren wails and the pit descends, but Rupture can€™t make use of it because of the drive damage done by Dante earlier on, and just drives in circles feeling depressed. Dante spins the disc up again and slams into Dante , flipping it up against the barrier, and although Rupture can certainly self-right from there it seems to have stopped moving! Dante nudges it off the wall (because of the 30 second stacking rule) and Rupture lands on its wheels, but still isn€™t going anywhere! And now the camera zooms in and we see the removable link on the floor of the arena next to Rupture, who was quite simply been ruptured!
CEASE!
Rupture is ruptured; Dante spins on through to the heat final!
Heat K Final
Flick of the Wrist (12) v Dante
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gonna pit Dante, thats what Im gonna do!
Good fights Liam
The main battle for the heat was between Flick and Crimson Thunder in my personal opinion. Given Flick won that, I say that the heat win will go to Flick Of The Wrist.
Flick of the Wrist to pit Dante.
Awesome work Liam. :)
I know its early to post this fight, but Alexs tactics are always pretty straight forward :proud:
And thanks for the compliments guys, I have put a bit more effort into the fights recently :)
Welcome back to Robot SMASH!! , where Dante who earlier defeated Rupture will now attempt to take out the number #12 seed Flick of the Wrist to gain a place in the series semi-finals. First let€™s see how they got this far.
In the first round melee Flick of the Wrist stacked The Rock on the wall and Dante knocked off the base panel as well as sending The Rock onto the camera tracks with that dangerous flywheel.
In the first of the heat semi-finals Flick of the Wrist had a long and hard pushing match with Crimson Thunder, eventually winning by 13 points on a JD.
In the second Dante gave Rupture a good battering, disabling one of the side drive motors and then knocking out the removable link.

SMASH!!
Dante is the underdog of this match, but hopes to turn that on its head and straight away Alex Holt is spinning up that flywheel and preparing to kick some uh... wrist. Flick meanwhile has other plans and heads off towards the pit release button, raising the forks parallel to the ground to hit the siren with ease before lowering them again to tackle Dante, which Martijn does with style. The two meet head on, but Flick is untouched by the spinning disc it fits in snugly between the diamond tipped spikes and Martijn lifts Dante up into the air before powering forward and flipping it onto its back! Alex self-rights, but Martijn attacks again, once more using those lifting forks to good effect and getting in underneath to lift Dante into the air again, this time getting the left spike caught under the tungsten carbide bar of Dante! This is a pretty good hold and Martijn pulls back quickly towards the pit with Dante in tow, and now pulls over so that its side on to the chasm! Dante spins up the disc, but it€™s no good and Flick of the Wrist turns so that Dante is hanging on the lifting forks, over the abyss! But the question for Martijn now is how to get Dante off, and there is now explanation, and after 30 seconds of trying to dump Dante the judge€™s order Martijn to release Dante, and the only way he can do that is by taking it away from the pit and feeding it to the killsaws. BZZT! There€™s a shower of sparks, but Martijn surely would have preferred just to end the match with a pitting. Anyway now Dante is away and has that disc up to full speed and is coming back on the attack of Flick of the Wrist, hitting the undefended side panel and knocking Flick of the Wrist up and over onto its back, but the seeded machine works just as well when inverted and Martijn quickly attacks again, this time getting in underneath the side of Dante and turns it over with a flick of the spikes (not the wrist). Dante is once again quick to right itself and Alex spins up the flywheel as he spins up that magmotor driven flywheel again. Martijn runs in to try and stall the disc, but Alex drives forwards to meet him and bludgeons him with a SMACK from the weaponry! Flick of the Wrist is knocked upwards into the air and comes crashing back down on top of Dante, which firs the srimech to flip Martijn€™s rammer away, but with its rear end pointed towards Dante€™s flywheel Flick just reverses back into Dante at full speed and drives Alex Holt backwards across the arena and into the opposite wall with a crash! Dante isn€™t given another chance to spin up the potentially lethal disc as Flick of the Wrist turns around again and gets right in underneath with those diamond tipped lifting spikes to hoist Dante into the air again before turning to face the pit and charging towards it at full speed, only stopping when the careering machines are perilously close to the edge and lowering the lifting forks to allow Dante to slide into the pit of oblivion!
CEASE!
Dante is flicked by the wrist; Flick of the Wrist (12) lives to fight another day!
So now 11 of our 16 semi-final spots are filled:
Wedge Devolution (1)
Supreme Glory Omega (3)

Killobite 5.0 (10) v Paramagnetic LOX Box v E Clawdius Unum
Revenge of Black Death v Exertion v Dennis the Menace
Right, lets get at least one vapourbot of mine into the semis :lame:
Killobite 5.0 (10) vs. Paramagnetic LOX Box vs. E Clawdius Unum
I believe that my tactics before were to team up on Clawdius with Joey. Thats not changing. do what I did before in last tournament, grapple the bugger and pit it. :proud: Id prefer if LOX Box would distract so I can get it. Oh, and if LOX Box is in trouble, recklessly attack Clawdius. I dont want Joey to go out, even if hes already out...on vacation. :proud:
Revenge of Black Death v Exertion v Dennis the Menace
Yeah, Black Death to die.
Keep up the good work Liam

I believe AJ and I have decided to team up against DTM. DTM cant damage me... well, at least, not properly.
So, I will never allow any chances on DTM to attack, and I will get underneath the damn thing, and flip it OOTA. :proud:
Samuel, what way is the flipper on Black Death hinged?
I thought me and AJ were teaming up...
Nevertheless - focus my attacks on RoBD.
no! I was gonna team up with AJ here
Black Death has a rear hinged flipper, sir.
Added tactix
Just keep DTM away from the sides and back, and Ill try to use my flipper more than my disc here.
Here we are with another heat of Robot SMASH!! , this being the twelfth heat of sixteen. As we€™re so close to reaching the semi-finals, let€™s take a look at the story of the heats so far.
Wedge Devolution (1) threw Splinter over in round 2 after pitting The Curse in the eliminator, and although Sheer Heart Attack 2 put up a good fight in the heat final it was thrown out of the contest.
Supreme Glory Omega (3) gave Shrederator the axe in the eliminator, and in round 2 Axe-o-Lotl was defeated when SGO scored the most points of a judge€™s decision in the series so far.
Turbo Shredder shocked us all by tearing up Storm II (5) and winning on a judge€™s decision, but it was outclassed by Cyclone Force 3 in the heat final.
Another shocker in Heat D when Orka MK.4 pitted Whirligig 4.5 (7) in a matter of seconds, and despite being rammed around by Macduff the 3rd in the heat final Orka moved onto the semi-finals.
Heat E was filled with all-stars like Die-ceratops Re-invertus, Back to Rock III and SOR X, and it ended with Back to Rock III meeting SOR X in the heat final and taking the semi-final spot.
Heat F so our first realie semi-finalist head through when Mantis dumped All scoop and no stab make Steve a dull boy (11) into the pit before doing the same to Tengu VII in the heat final.
Heat G so Super Gore Evo (13) impressively grapple Wedga€™s Revenge, but the unlucky seeding had its tracks sliced up by Metal Sonic Spin Dash in the heat final.
Heat H saw the return of Wedginator Devilution (15), but it didn€™t stay for long after the flipper was damaged by Axe to Fall, who then fell to Axeon 3.0 in the heat final.
In Heat I Shadow Zone Returns (16) did not have a good return and tumbled out of the arena with a little help from Achilles, and then in the heat final Mega Monsoon was too uncontrolled and was pitted.
Gabriel II (14) looked promising, but in the heat final it was cut down to size by its round 1 teammate PsycloniZer.
And finally in Heat K another seed made it through, and that seed was Flick of the Wrist (12) who over-powered The Rock, Crimson Thunder and Dante on the way through.
And tonight we see the return of Killobite 5.0 (10) as he attempts to improve on his previous heat final placing.
Killobite 5.0 (10) v Paramagnetic LOX Box v E Clawdius Unum
Revenge of Black Death v Exertion v Dennis the Menace
And first up there€™s a rematch between Killobite 5.0 (10) and E Clawdius Unum, as last time around Killobite grappled and pitted the roman in the opening round.
Eliminator 1
Created and entered by Kody Kunz, seeded #10, Killobite 5.0!
This oddly shaped machine has an external steel bar chassis and a crushing claw/lifting forks weapon synergy that served runners-up Nidhogg well last season. It also has an electric srimech built into the back of the robot, and last time around reached the heat final. The beak has 9 tonnes of force at the ram and 4.5 at the tip, so watch out!
In RS!!1: Lifted, grappled and pitted the promising E Clawdius Unum in round 1, and in round 2 it did the same to the powerful robot known as The Quaestor. However it all went belly-up in the heat final and ISDSFA flipped them out of the heat.
Created and entered by Joey McConnell, Paramagnetic LOX Box!
This hexagonal omni-directional machine is based on Alex Holt€™s Blizzard, and despite having no weaponry so to speak of it€™s very unlikely anything will out-push those screws that will be trying to go the other way.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Steven McGregor, E Clawdius Unum!
This magmotor driven wedge with Mute-style barbs has an extremely powerful hydraulic crusher and flat spears to get in underneath other robots that are positioned either side of the front of the wedge. It came 3rd in ETC08, and is the champion of majors such as FAR8, but can it continue its success here and get to the final like it did in the Crash and Burn Tournament?
In RS!!1: Put up a good fight against eventual heat finalist Killobite 5.0 in round 1, but was eventually grappled and pitted.

SMASH!!
All three robots are off, and it€™s Killobite who seems to the most menacing machine out there as this fight gets underway, making a beeline for Clawdius, who surprisingly manages to dodge out of the way of the seed€™s forks and drives around a flabbergasted Killobite to get those spears straight underneath the skirt on the Paramagnetic LOX Box and bring the crusher down to bear on the thin hardox armour, actually going through it! Joey panics and tries to escape, but he€™s caught on the barbs of Clawdius€™ wedge (and not to mention the claw). Killobite comes in to help the LOX Box out now though, and uses those lifting forks to throw Clawdius onto his back! However Steven keeps hold of the LOX box and self-rights before reversing into the side of Killobite 5.0, pushing it backwards into the pit release siren! And immediately Steven heads towards the pit, and only 15 seconds of the match have passed! But Killobite doesn€™t want the LOX Box to be eliminated and follows Steven, managing to clamp Clawdius from behind and lifting both Clawdius and the LOX Box into the air! But the question is what to do now, and the combined weight tips Killobite over forwards, and Steven hits the crusher release button, letting the LOX Box tumble into the pit before he does and is followed by Killobite 5.0!
CEASE!
A very short 27 second match, and all three competitors end up in the pit, but the Paramagnetic LOX Box went in first and so it is eliminated; Killobite 5.0 (10) and E Clawdius Unum go through!
Eliminator 2
Exertion v Revenge of Black Death v Dennis the Menace
Created and entered by Andrew Jackson, Exertion!
This well-controlled four wheel drive rammer has a front lifting scoop actuated by an S28-150 magmotor that can work both ways up. There is 18HP in the magmotor drive and this robot will have no trouble shoving the others around.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Samuel Park, Revenge of Black Death!
This hardox box wedge has a co2 powered rear hinged front flipper and a deadly horizontal spinning disc at the rear, though that may interfere with the robot€™s self-righting abilities. In this match it has teamed up with Exertion, though it has been targeted by the veteran.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Daniel Stickler, Dennis the Menace!
This oddly shaped machine has an insanely powerful spinning drum at the front of the robot and it runs inverted, but with weak motors in the drive and the possibility of the weapon€™s chainsaw motors stalling Dennis could be menaced!
In RS!!1: Looked promising in round 1 as it ripped a side panel of Flick of the Wrist, but it was then lifted and pitted by the eventual heat finalist.

SMASH!!
Dennis and Revenge of Black Death are both spinning up their weapons as this bout gets underway, but it€™s Andy Jackson€™s Exertion which is first off the mark, slamming into the front drum of Dennis the Menace and easily stalling it. Daniel pulls away, but now Revenge of Black Death comes in from behind and gets under the rear of Dennis the Menace, flipping it onto Exertion, who uses the scoop to lift it onto the top of the rammer and reverses across the arena with Dennis in tow, slamming the pit release button with the angled rear and knocking Dennis the Menace off the top. Daniel reverses and spins up the weaponry again before knocking into the side of Revenge of Black Death, who is flung up and over with a CRASH! The disc spins and Samuel fires the flipper, but all that happens is ROBD comes up and its own disc hits the floor before it bounces back down onto its lid! But team-ups are pretty handy and Exertion rights the SOR alike robot, which attacks Dennis again, this time flipping it onto the killsaws! BZZT! Dennis is flung away in a shower of sparks and lands in front of Exertion, who pushes it across the arena, lifting it over and pushing it up against the arena wall! And now in comes Revenge of Black Death again, getting right in underneath and flipping Dennis up and over the barrier! Daniel€™s renowned drummer hits the Plexiglas that protects the audience and falls onto the camera tracks, broken and beaten.
CEASE!
Dennis the Menace is menaced; Revenge of Black Death and Exertion go through to round 2!
Second round line-up:
Killobite 5.0 (10) v Revenge of Black Death
Exertion v E Clawdius Unum
Right then.
Killobite 5.0 (10) vs. Revenge of Black Death
Dont like the look of that disc so Ill go after the flipper and the sides. Slide under, crunch, lift, pit. Flipping him would be nice too. :proud: If I can Ill try and tilt him so that his disc hits the floor. :proud:
Exertion vs. E Clawdius Unum
Clawdius to join me in the final by pitting AJs ramming bugger. Time for that rematch...
Good work Liam. :)

The next fights should be a bit longer, I seem to be better at one-on-ones and four-way melees than three way melees :lame:
Never allow him to attack, get all over Killobyte like a bunch of termites.
Added Tactics
Ive decided to add a Firestorm-like wedge extention on the front, just in case of an emergency. Also, that armour doesnt look too strong, so Ill use the disc more. If Killobyte even tries to attack the front, Ill be ready with my flipper...
It doesnt say in the stats you can attach an extension to your flipper... :P
Sorry Sam, you have to say in your stats if you want an extension
Okay then... =P
Stay in the middle of the arena. As usual, that armour doesnt look too strong, so Ill use the disc more. If Killobyte even tries to attack the front, Ill be ready with my flipper...

SMASH!!
And we€™re off! Both robots showed off good driving techniques and weaponry in round 1, and the seeded Killobite seems to be the more aggressive at the start of this bout, dodging the front flipper of Black Death and getting those forks under the side, clamping down with the crushing beak and lifting it into the air! Samuel is really caught between a rock and a hard place and fires his flipper desperately, but to no avail! Killobite hits the pit release button, but the impact loosens his grip on Revenge of Black Death and it escapes across the coliseum before turning to meet the oncoming attack from Killobite and Samuel swings his spinning disc into the side of Killobite, although sadly for him the weak armour of Killobite isn€™t even touched as the external steel bar chassis deflects the blow! Killobite drives forward to attack, but Revenge of Black Death manages to sneak its flipper underneath the space to the right of Killobite€™s forks and with a snort of carbon dioxide Killobite is up and over onto its back! But it does have that srimech built into the rear and the seed is back onto its wheels quickly, however Revenge of Black Death has spun up that disc again and smacks it into the side of Killobite 5.0, and this time one of the blades just manages to catch the armour behind the chassis and there€™s a fairly sized gash there now! But Killobite€™s internal workings seem to be in perfect order and Kody drives in under the rear of Revenge of Black Death and lifts it up, bring the crusher down onto the disc and biting down hard to stop it spinning! But this grip isn€™t as strong as the last one and Revenge of Black Death only has to fire its flipper to get away safely. Killobite quickly follows and meets the front wedge of Black Death head on, his forks getting in underneath Black Death€™s flipper and lifting it up so that the spinning disc hits the floor and rips out a chunk of it! This does however momentarily stall the disc and Kody brings the crusher down on Black Death€™s front flipper, which is fired in an attempt to free itself, but the claw is too strong and holds the flipper down for Kody to keep Revenge of Black Death in the air before turning around and heading for the pit, where it slowly drops Samuel€™s spinner/flipper combo before suddenly letting go as it disappears in a puff of smoke for the seed to go through to the heat final!
CEASE!
Revenge of Black Death is not avenged and dies; Killobite 5.0 (10) goes through to the heat final!

SMASH!!
Both of these robots have successful histories behind them, with Clawdius Decimus Murderous having won FAR8 and finished runner-up in the Crash and Burn Tournament, while the predecessors of Exertion were the Forcepower Turbo robots, with some of them packing more than 100HP into the drive. But Exertion is a toned down version of that machine, mainly for greater control and Andy demonstrates this now, using his 4 wheel drive to steer around Clawdius and attack the side, getting in underneath with that magmotor driven scoop and tipping E Clawdius Unum onto its side! However, Clawdius has those side linear actuated arms and easily rights itself before coming round on an attack of its own, getting in underneath the side ground clearance of Exertion and bring that powerful claw into play, biting down on Exertion€™s top armour, which holds up surprisingly well. With Andy stuck on the barbs and under the crusher Steven heads for the pit release button, but when he gets there the impact of hitting the release siren frees Exertion, which speeds away and turns to meet the oncoming attack from the veteran robot! However Andy uses those four magmotor driven wheels to avoid the front of E Clawdius Unum and slip that invertible scoop under the side of the successful crushing robot again, this time hoisting it into the air before going on an all out slam to the side of the arena, and it hit the wall at such a speed that Clawdius tumbles up and over from the impact and lands on its back, self-righting only to find itself on top of Exertion again, and this time Andy is driving towards the killsaws! BZZT! He dumps the FAR8 champion onto the saws and reverses away to await Steven€™s next move, and the moment Clawdius is out of that corner he comes speeding at Exertion, using the flat spears at the front of the robot to get in underneath the front scoop of Exertion and get Andy€™s well-known rammer onto the barbs again, and when Steven brings the crusher down this time he gets the front left wheel, biting down into the tyre as he drives across the arena to the pit! The crowd chant PIT repeatedly and Andy raises and lowers his scoop again and again to try and escape, but it€™s no use and before he knows it he€™s suspended in mid air right over the chasm which will almost certainly be the cause of Exertion€™s exit from this season of Robot SMASH!! . And sure enough E Clawdius Unum slowly delivers his unlucky opponent to the depths of the pit with a triumphant puff of smoke from the arena that signals yet another competitor has been pitted and therefore eliminated.
CEASE!
Exertion has exerted all its energy; E Clawdius Unum moves onto the heat final to meet Killobite 5.0 (10)!
Hah, looks like we get our rematch, Steve. Lets make it a goodun. :proud:
Killobite 5.0 (10) vs. E Clawdius Unum
Right, last time I won by flipping him over and crushing in before he could self-right. It shouldnt be too hard to implement the same plan again, but if I can, Ill see if I can break the srimechs off too. Get to the sides using my manoeuvrability advantage, flip, then clamp ahold (those wheels look tasty too so go after them if I flip him :proud:). Doubt Ill sink into that 4mm Hardox armour, but the main thing is to pit it. We both have the same speed and power, so this should be interesting. Hopefully the chassis should stand up well to Clawdius own crusher again. :)

Heat L Final
Killobite 5.0 (10) v E Clawdius Unum
In round 1 Killobite 5.0 teamed up with Paramagnetic LOX Box in order to eliminate Clawdius, but the roman emperor grappled with the LOX Box and so went through along with the seed.
In round 2 Killobite 5.0 lifted, grappled and pitted Revenge of Black Death.
Meanwhile E Clawdius Unum had a tough match with Exertion, receiving some damage, but eventually dealing out another pitting.
Ladies and Gentlemen...
Killobite 5.0 (10)
E Clawdius Unum
And so the rematch, let€™s look back at last season€™s round 1 face-off:
Eliminator 16/32:
E Clawdius Unum v Killobite 5.0
Formerly Clawdius Decimus Murderous, Stevens powerful crushing machine finished 3rd in The Easter Bunny Tribute Championships 2008. Now its back, and up against a fellow crusher in the first round!
Killobite 5.0 is another Razer-esque machine, but this design also incorporates some front lifting forks, like we saw on the Heat C winner Nidhogg.
Booth 1: Steven McGregor
Booth 2: Kody Kunz
5,4,3,2,1, SMASH!!
Both bots get off to a flying start, Killobite trying to get around the sides of Clawdius while Steven tries to make an advantage of Kodys weak armouring. The first vapourboteer to get in an onslaught is Steven, powering Clawdius into the side of Killobite 5.0 and attempting to crush into the chassis! But Kody pulls around and manages to get his forks under Clawdius side skirt! Kody lifts Steven up and over, then drives underneath and clamps down on top with his powerful claw, stopping Clawdius getting his srimech into play! The crusher makes a shallow indent in the armour, and Kody takes Steven into the pit release tyre! This should be a walk in the park for Killobite now- it has the struggling Clawdius in its arms and the srimech is doing nothing, but just as they approach the pit Steven falls off the crusher! He quickly self-rights, but Kody was ready and flips him over again before shoving him into the chasm!
ITS OVER ALREADY!
Killobite 5.0 wins the battle of the crushers and goes onto the heat semi-finals!
Roboteers, standby!
Booth 1: Kody Kunz
Booth 2: Steven McGregor

SMASH!!
And for the third time since the beginning of Robot SMASH!! Killobite 5.0 and E Clawdius Unum start a battle together, and unlike last time only one can survive. Killobite is the seeded robot and the winner of this battle last time around, so it is probably the favourite to head on to the series semi-finals. Kody has to win the battle before he can though, and getting out driven by Steven at the beginning of the match probably wasn€™t on his priorities list and before he knows it Kody€™s armour has been penetrated by the powerful crusher of Clawdius, which has surprisingly managed to get in through part of the external chassis. The weak armour doesn€™t hold up and Clawdius digs in tight before slamming into the pit release button. However the impact let€™s Killobite get away and Kody drives around before getting under the side of Clawdius, and although he presses the button for the forks nothing happens. It seems the electrics for the workings may have been damaged so Kody only has his crusher now, but boy does he plan to use it. It doesn€™t penetrate the hardox armour of E Clawdius Unum, but he has a hold and drives towards the pit, only for Clawdius to use his side linear actuated arms to pull himself free from the seed€™s grasp and drive away to the middle of the arena. Killobite 5.0 pursues, but once again Clawdius gets the better of him and drives in underneath he side, biting down with the crusher only to be stopped by one of the external bars of Killobite 5.0. Kody escapes and comes around again, once more getting under the side of Steven€™s wedge shaped robot with the now static forks and bringing the crusher into play, crunching down on the side arm and breaking it! Not only that, but Killobite now has a masterful grip and triumphantly heads for the pit of more-oblivion-than-the-one-in-robot-wars! The crowd count down the seconds to the end and a puff of smoke signals the fact that E Clawdius Unum has fallen at the hands of Killobite 5.0 for a second time and the tenth seed moves onto the series semi-finals!
CEASE!
E Clawdius Unum is executed; Killobite 5.0 lives to bite another day!
Coming Next, Heat M:
Razer (8) v Weapon Synergy v Holepunch
Black Panther v Blue Sparks v D.V.D: The Sequel
w00t! :proud: awesomeness Liam, and Im not just saying that because I won :proud:
Razer (8) v Weapon Synergy v Holepunch
You know, I think Razer could go out here...Holepunch is going through, I know that. :proud:
Black Panther v Blue Sparks v D.V.D: The Sequel
D.V.D. out
Awesomeness to Liam for writing a great battle, and congrats for Kody in taking out the same powerful crusher in that battle :proud:
Razer (8) v Weapon Synergy v Holepunch
I agree with Kody on this battle - Holepunch is deffo through, but Razer may have a tough ride.
Black Panther v Blue Sparks v D.V.D: The Sequel
I disagree with Kody on this battle :proud: I propose a team-up with Blue Sparks, and with the combined force of my drum and his disc that we rip up Black Panther. Attack Black Panther from the rear-right corners to get under and hit him with the drum until I kill him.
PAUL!
Alex sez
In that case I shall leave my comment as Well, as you are apparently going for me, I intend to go for you Paul and beat DVD into a thin metallic paste lol
And now Alex is cheesed off with me from taking words out of his mouth :proud:

Heat M
Razer (8) v Weapon Synergy v Holepunch
Black Panther v Blue Sparks v D.V.D: The Sequel
Eliminator 1
Built by Simon Scott and Ian Lewis, entered by Martijn M Benschop, and seeded #8, Razer!
This 2-time Robot Wars world champion and 1-time UK champion, not to mention 2-time all-stars champion was the first robot to use a hydraulic crusher as its weapon. It has side self-righting wings and a very low wedge to get under opponents.
In RS!!1: Quite literally gave Terrorhurtz the chop in a Robot Wars rematch, then took on another realie in the shape of Ming Die-nasty in the second round. Ming€™s arm was snapped and the robot pitted for Razer to proceed to the heat final, where it was flipped out of the competition by the eventual champion Wedge Devolution.
Created and entered by Daniel Stickler, Weapon Synergy!
This very interesting design is a 5-part clusterbot, each part armed with a different weapon. One has a flipper, one an axe, one a vertical spinning disc, one is a mini-TAN and the other part is a Tornado-shaped rammer. However the armour is thin and the drive motors lack compared to most heavyweight opponents.
In RS!!1: Met up with The Botles Reunited in round 1 to do battle in the clusterbot match of the century, clinching the judge€™s decision only because the Botles clan had suffered more casualties. However in round 2 they met up with the powerful flipper Liar 2, and each 20kg cluster was sent sky-high.
Created and entered by Leo Van Miert, Holepunch!
Similar in looks to its opponent in this battle Razer, Holepunch is another wedge with a crusher. However this crusher is pneumatically powered, and the robot doesn€™t really have a proper srimech although it should roll over with the claw in the up position due to the low centre of gravity.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter

SMASH!!
Weapon Synergy catches the eye as this battle begins by splitting up from 1 big mass into 5 smaller ones. Holepunch and Razer also get going, and Razer makes a move on Ram, getting in underneath the 20kg bots€™ 1cm ground clearance and crushing down onto the 3mm titanium armour! With a firm hold Razer reverses across the arena and hits the pit release button, digging deeper and making a perforation in the top armour only to be whacked in the side by Disc, who knocks Razer over with the force of the hit! Axe meanwhile has been crushed into by Holepunch, who makes a beeline for the pit opened by Razer, who now self-rights and drops Ram into the pit. Holepunch follows suit and dumps Axe into the abyss, but Holepunch is caught from behind with a devious attack from Flipper, who attempts to stylishly throw Leo into the pit, but the flipper is too powerful and Holepunch sails right over it, rolling over into Claw, who grabs hold of Holepunch, but can€™t push Holepunch into the pit because of the 80kg weight deficit! Razer moves in on Disc and grapples it, heading for the pit, but they may not be need as Flipper has gotten in under Holepunch and tossed Leo against the wall just as Leo grabbed hold of Claw! With the crusher in the down position Leo cannot self-right, and although Razer dumps Disc in the pit it€™s much too late.
CEASE!
A shock for the bookies as Holepunch is punched; Razer (8) and Weapon Synergy go through!
Eliminator 2
Created and entered by Alex Holt, Black Panther!
This strange semi-UFO shaped machine has a lot of success in majors such as Mechanical Noise, as it packs two weapons into its design- the main weapon, the powerful axe and the low powered flipper. It has done well in both this form and previous iterations.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Danny Bailey, Blue Sparks!
A tracked box with blue sparks painted on the side and an E-tek powered horizontal spinning disc that dishes out 125Kj per hit at full speed and 6mm titanium armour all round. However the armour won€™t hold up against the other powerful spinners and the S28-150 motors driving the tracks will certainly get hot in the longer rounds.
In RS!!1: Didn€™t enter
Created and entered by Paul Cuomo, D.V.D: The Sequel!
An invertible box with an invertible wedge behind its front double LEM-130 driven vertical drum and decent drive motors, this robot has a reasonably good history, reaching heat finals in tournaments such as the Chevron Championships.
In RS!!1: (as D.V.D) Knocked Iron Awe 5 clean out of the arena after immobilising it in round 1, but in round 2 it€™s removable link was knocked out after a monster hit from the eventual semi-finalist Supreme Glory Omega.
Roboteers, standby!

SMASH!!
D.V.D and Blue Sparks spin up their weapons as soon as SMASH!! is called and all three robots are quickly off the mark, heading across the arena to meet up with each other. Blue Sparks however is left out of the equation for now as D.V.D and Black Panther make a beeline straight for each other, hitting straight on with D.V.D getting the upper hand on the first impact, knocking Black Panther back a few inches. But Alex is quick to come back, pushing into the momentarily static drum of D.V.D: The Sequel and giving it a hefty blow with the axe! There€™s a dent in the top armour of D.V.D now, and Alex doesn€™t let Paul spin the drum back up as he pushes Paul onto the killsaws! BZZT! D.V.D is spun around by the hit, but has its own spinning weapon back up to speed by now and attacks the side of Black Panther, knocking Alex over onto his back and then pushing in again to knock Black Panther against the arena wall! But Alex is quick to self-right and this time gets around to the side of D.V.D: The Sequel and gets the flipper in underneath, lifting D.V.D up and over and striking Paul€™s machine with the axe again, this time catching a wheel! This is D.V.D in serious trouble now and Blue Sparks looks on as Alex pulls the trapped drummer robot across the arena and into the pit release button! The siren wails and the pit descends, but the impact against the pit release releases D.V.D: The Sequel who rushes off and turns around to meet the oncoming threat from Black Panther with the drum spinning! Black Panther meets D.V.D: The Sequel head on and is flipped onto its back, but Alex quickly uses the axe to right himself and he attacks D.V.D again, this time striking the centre of D.V.D and causing the whole robot to shudder violently with the force of the slam! Black Panther whacks Paul€™s spinning drum bot for good measure, though the audience seems to think it€™s dead as the motionless robot is repeatedly pounded by Black Panther. They finish their decision as Black Panther stops pounding D.V.D for Blue Sparks to finally do something in this bout as Danny reverses into D.V.D and pushes it into the pit!
CEASE!
D.V.D: The Sequel is straight to video; Black Panther and Blue Sparks go through!
The round 2 draw:
Razer (8) v Blue Sparks
Black Panther v Weapon Synergy
Holepunch is out! Shocker! :uhoh: Nice to keep us in suspense, Liam, very nicely done. :)
Razer (8) vs. Blue Sparks
Blue Sparks is in trouble with those tracks, and I think Razer can take enough punishment from that disc to damage the tracks quite nicely and score a KO.
Black Panther vs. Weapon Synergy
Gonna go for Weapons Synergy here. :proud:

Tictacs in the shape of tactics
Eeeep! Get one of the clusters to release the pit whilst the others scamper around the arena, making it hard for BP to fully attack one. Once pit is released, surround BP and aim for the big heave-ho into the pit.
You can still enter if you want Daniel, Ill just swap out some of the realies :)
Stats for Chris Little Big Bot and Tom can be found in my Crash & Burn Other-weights Tournament. :)
