Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
All Hell VS Dante VS UltraVerter (9) VS Wedga REVO V2
UltraVerter and Dante for me.
Death Adder 3 VS Hacked-Off Ha-ka (24) VS Intensity VS Pussycat
Should be a great fight, they could all go through. However, Id guess Ha-Ka and Intensity to see off the others.

Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
All Hell VS Dante VS UltraVerter (9) VS Wedga REVO V2
Well obviously, the main tactic in this fight is to stay away from the big flippy thing. Other than that All Hell and Dante have some pretty naff drives, so I€™ll go into tank mode and just box rush them about the place and hopefully the armour can stand up to the damage. One flip should be enough to get All Hell onto its back and from there it can do nothing. Dante will be more difficult to get rid of but some box rushes and keeping the scoop facing the disc should mean I can push it into some sort of hazard or OOTA. However I€™ll try and save the flips just in case I get too close to UltraVerter. In summary:
1) Drive at All Hell and get it onto its back
2) Go for Dante and push it around into the house robots/pit/UltraVerter
3) Stay away from UltraVerter
For the other melee any two from the four can get through I reckon. If I had to choose I€™d say Death Adder and Intensity though.

Spin up and head for whoevers currently unable to retaliate, ie whoevers already beign attacked by someone else. Avoid being rammed or flipped, go for weak points to get quicker knockouts, or if Im not doign too well go for every hit I can make.

Incidentally Ive decided to go for Ultraverter, it only has lexan armour and Im not going to be wussign away from it just because its highly ranked, get round its sides cos I am faster. Im NOT EXCLUSIVLY GOING FOR IT, but Im not going to avoid it, besides I can self right. I like attempting to topple giants.

ROUND 1
MELEE 1
ALL HELL Vs DANTE Vs ULTRAVERTER (9) Vs WEDGA REVO V2
FROM CARTERTON, IN OXFORDSHIRE, ALL HELL!
(represented by David Weston)
Prepare for All Hell to break loose! :proud: Essentially Storm Vortex on a bender, this reverse wedge gets its devilish reputation from the front vertical spinning disc. This little beauty can reach speeds of 3500rpm and generate nearly 80kJ of force! Thats almost on a par with dear old Matildas! Daves machine also features good speed and manoueverability on its two vulcalon wheels, but the 6mm steel shell and lack of a proper srimech could be taken advantage of quite easily.

FROM GEDDINGTON, IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, DANTE!
(represented by Alex Holt)
A newcomer to the wars, Dante hopes not to peak too soon. :proud: Sort of resembling Sump Thing sans all the pointy bits and srimech arms, the main weapon here is a nasty 1000rpm vertical disc. Not only can Alex dish out 24kg of pain with each blow, but he can even withstand most other spinners with the hardox tubing coating the framework. This combined with the large 9mm thick A.B.C. outer wheels make an extremely tough nut...but lack of any proper armour can leave a risk of electronics damage and speeds of 22mph could create some big control problems.

FROM PERTH, IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA, AND SEEDED NO.9, ULTRAVERTER!
(represented by Tom Roper)
Think Red Square, but full of gas - the seed, I mean. Not Tom. :proud: A low box with tough skirting all the way round, Ultra is just as powerful a flipper as its dear old dad, Spin. Generating nearly as much force as Wheely Big Cheeses arm, this tossing device can throw a fellow competitor nearly 20 feet in the air on a good day! Add in the powerful 6WD and the Lexan armour of up to 25mm and you can see why everyone else is trembling away from it. However, we cant forget the problem of the CO2 running out and that more and more wedges these days are ready to burst those skirts.

FROM BOURNE, IN LINCOLNSHIRE, WEDGA REVO V2!
(represented by Andy Jackson)
Another Wedga? Jeezo, these things breed like rabbits. :proud: This time a reversed wedge with a scooped front n skirts, REVO V2s main weapon is (as ever) the rear-hinged flipping arm. The CO2 set-up means it can comfortabely flip 400kg with no problems at all and at around 35 flips per fight, youre definately gonna get your moneys worth of air-time. Also, the latest version now features a mix of titanium and hardox armour and the 18hp from those six wheels will provide many a headache. But there will be trouble if the flippah gas runs out and manoueverability could be better...

Everyone is off to a nice fast start today and none more so than Dante! With its flywheel already revving up quickly, the newcomer immediately gets stuck in and bites into UltraVerters side! Sparks fly as the disc strikes the Lexan shell, but it seems to have held up fine! As Tom whirls around and gives the spinner an unhappy shunt in revenge, All Hell arrives on the scene and smacks one of Dantes wheels! The force from the blow very nearly throws the newbie right over, but instead, Alexs machine topples the proper way up...just to get another slap from the flywheel! By now, Wedga REVO has now joined the party and as UltraVerter shoves Mr Holts rookie up to the top of the ring, Andy slips around to All Hells side and flips it over before it can get away! Landing flat on its back, Davey tries revving up the disc to get going again...but Mr J simply barges into and rams it straight for the arena wall before flicking it over onto the camera track!
All Hell proves to be all talk! I wouldnt want to be in your shoes when Beelzebub finds out about this, Dave. :proud:
Meanwhile, Dante is doing little better! Having just been slammed into the top arena disc by UltraVerter, the newcomer has now been gotten under again and thrown nearly 10ft in the air before crashing down back onto its wheels...right outside Shellraisers corner! Wasting no time, the House Robot rockets forward and tries to grapple onto the exposed framework of Alexs latest twisted creation! However, he barely touches it with the claw before Mr Holts entrant swings around and smacks the H.B. with its horrible disc! Now leaving Shellraiser a few spikes short, Dante twirls back round, only to find itself being pursued by the two flippers! Alex tries to flee and get some space, but proves just too late as UltraVerter slips back under the rear end of the unusual newbie, charges towards the side wall and tosses it around 11ft upwards, over and out of the competition!

DEATH ADDER 3 Vs HACKED-OFF HAKA (24) Vs INTENSITY Vs PUSSYCAT
FROM ENGLAND, DEATH ADDER 3!
(represented by Richard Southworth)
Dont expect a hiss-poor performance from this newbie. :proud: Death Adder is a sturdy invertible cylinder armed with a mighty double-headed pneumatic axe, similar to that on former champ Beta. What separates Richs robot from most, though, is the large titanium outer ring attached to the main body. This holds off crushers n fellow hammers and the scoop on the front of it can sweep them aside afterward. The bot also boats good traction with its camshafts, but the 4mm titanium could fall victim to our nastier machines and those shufflin pads dont make turning a lot of fun

Hak for a third time, Mr Fowlers top bot is back and with a brand new look. Now an invertible double-wedge instead of a box wi scoop, the infamous uber-vicious nitrogen axe is also now bearing two heads instead of one for increased pain. Coated in 5 mil of Aluminium Boron Carbide, the new Haka is definately strong and the nice speed and manoueverability will serve it in good stead. However, the pushing power from those four wheels isnt exactly great and its pretty harmless once the hammer runs out of juice.

Ooooo, its Red Squares bigger brother! :proud: Closely modelled on the Battlebots Middleweight with its invertible pyramid shape and awesome spring-powered flipper atop, Intensity is hoping to mirror its recent AJWars success in this years PTT as well. And from the looks of its 5mm Hardox 500 shell and the tough skirts, that could very well be a reality. The newbie can also switch between high and low torque (giving 7mph and 33mph respectively!) and the eight inner wheels will give plenty of push whatever the setting. But the flipper does take its time to reset and the tops of the wheels are very exposed to axe attacks.

Now heres a cat that aint no pussy. :proud: With one of the best records in the whole of RW, Pussycat returns for its fifth PTT to make it one of the oldest contestants of them all. Still a four-wheel drive pyramid with that custom carbon-cutting 3000rpm saw, this former RW Finalist is famous for its roly-poly nature and its superb speed and turning ability. All this make it very hard to hit in a fight...but the wheels are very big and very exposed to all attacks and the big ground clearance very much makes it flipper bait.
IN PTT1: lost a tyre to Peligro in Round 3 and soon ended up battered to death

Another nippy start today and now, its Pussycats turn to take the spotlight! Saw blade a whirrin, the long-time PTT veteran careers across the ring and crashes into Death Adders outer cage! Enraged, the newbie twirls around and slides its scoop easily underneath the real robots high ground clearance before whacking it with the hefty hammer! However, the blow also manages to knock Richs grip on the twice Heat Finalist loose and allows the kitty to run free! Mr Southworth barely has time to follow it when Hacked-Off Haka arrives and gives the newbie a taste of its own medicine by grappling onto the cage with its own axe! There follows a few seconds of pushing and pulling (ahhh, just like the ol Tug o War... :proud:) when a loud siren distracts both drivers! Wouldnt you know it, Intensity has snuck away and just opened up the Void! Just as it backs away, though, Pussycat thunders up to it and strikes the Hardox with its infamous saw! Unfortunately, the claws have made next to no impression on the newbie and in retaliation, Aaron slips under the PTT veteran and flicks it aside like a flea on its back! Landing on its side, Stuart quickly rocks the kitty upright again...just as Mr Knight returns and flips it over again! :proud: Meanwhile, the stalemate between Death Adder and Haka remains unresolved, but not for much longer! With Pussycat riding up its front skirt, Intensity charges to the middle of the ring and crashes into the locked axebots! Their minds taken off each other now, the two drivers focus their attention on the other robots now! While Haka and the cat begin trying to run rings around each other near the bottom end of the arena, Death Adder tries its hand (though snakes dont have hands :lame:) at battering Intensity! However, when a glancing blow from the hammer barely dints its shell, the Aussie entrant swerves underneath the fellow newbie and tosses it onto its back with the greatest of ease! In a mild panic with its weapon rather useless, Richie darts aside from a fresh ram to get a strategy worked out! In the meantime, things are really hotting up between Haka and Pussycat! Though Matty has managed to get a few good glancing blows in on the fellow veteran with its axe, the more experienced PTT competitor has added several ugly scratches onto the ABC armour of its rival! This isnt stopping Mr Fowler, though, as the Heat Finalist of last year powers right underneath the real robot and grapples on with the axe before sweeping over to the Void and dumping the former RW Finalist in!
Pussycat shows the agility of Bagpuss and gets a neutering the PTT way! :proud:
Cutting back to Richies robot now, we can see that the English Adder is being chased in circles by Intensity! The Aussie machine doesnt want to leave it alone and now, the inverted shuffler finds itself riding up the Red Square lookalikes front before being shunted straight for the nearest arena wall! Mr Southworth desperately tries to get away when the spring-powered arm fires...and Death Adder finds its front end right way up and propped up on the fence! Camshafts suspended in the air and with the other two machines closing in, Rich tries to shake himself free by shuffling the feet pads madly and swinging the axe to and fro! It seems as though its working too...at least until Intensity darts forward and finishes the job by tipping it over the barrier properly this time! :proud:
CEASE!!!!!
Death Adder 3 lacks enough venom and slithers home with its tail between its...erm...no, wait, that doesnt work at all! :proud:

And so, the two Red Square homages open this duel of the duplicates with a traditional head-on clash! With the weightier skirts, UltraVerter gets the upper hand and scrapes beneath Intensitys own flipper-stopper strips! Just getting part of its nemesis onto the top-mounted flipper, the No.9 seed activates its weapon and tosses the newbie forwards in a loop-the-loop before it lands upright again! Just as Tom comes in for a second assault, Mr Knight swerves past the oncoming pyramid and bashes into the more experienced machines side! Although finding it very hard to get underneath the uber-skirting, that isnt stopping Intensity from pushing it and the Aussie newbie shoves its rival nearly right up to the top of the ring before Lord Roper wriggles free! Seeking revenge, UltraVerter charges back underneath the eight-wheeled lookalike and (keeping passive for the time being) rams it into Dulcys top corner! The mighty House Robot lets loose a burst of flame from her metallic jaws and tries ramming her fresh victim deeper into her domain...when Aaron notices that shes just ridden up one of his wedges! Immediately, Intensity powers further underneath and flicks the diabolical dragon off the ground with the spring-powered arm! Landing back on her wheels with a thud, Dulcy is naturally dazed as Mr Knight uses this time to sneak back into the arena at large! Just as he starts heading for UltraVerter, though, he hears a familiar siren. Toms gone and activated the Void and now hes charging back towards Intensity! Narrowly dodging the oncoming assault, the two similar machines are then waged in a sort-of stalemate, each trying to encircle the other in a waltz of woe! But the dance fever is quickly vaccinated as UltraVerter utilises the slightly better control and crashes into its rivals side again! Scraping back underneath, Tom fires the flipper and sends the fellow Red Square lookalike hurtling several feet into the air before tumbling back down on its back! With the newbie now easy prey for the CO2 arm, our No.9 seed dashes over to give it some more air time! However, Intensity successfully dodges the latest ram and (after charging nearer the bottom of the ring for some space) uses its own arm to flick itself back upright again! Just as the eight wheels touch the ground, though, UltraVerter shoots back over and clips the side of the fellow Aussie! Whirling around, Aarons creation slams into the slowed veterans side and begins shoving as hard as the eight wheels will possibly allow towards the Void! In panic, Tom twirls the veteran around just in time and drive back under its similar opponent! However, Intensity manages to scoot off its more experienced rival before the flipper can kick in and after some manic scrabbing around by the edge of oblivion, Aaron manages to hit the PTT3 bronze medallists side and send the No.5 seed cascading down into the abyss below!

Wasting not a breath, Andy doesnt back down and starts pushing the inverted pyramid side-on towards the nearest wall! However, before Mr J can reach his destination, Hakas hammer activates and happily rolls the No.24 seed back onto its wheels! Eager for vengeance, the more experienced PTT veteran dashes into Wedgas side and gives the titanium top a few good whacks! The irritated NSBFL7 Finalist now turns around in anger and tries to get another flipping in, but Hacked-Off Haka just darts away to the rear and lets loose a couple more blows from the hammer! Infuriated at the dents starting to be bashed into his creation, Andy whirls his creation around and chases after Mr Fowlers machine as it tries to reverse away! As the faster machine, it isnt long at all before AJ catches up, scrapes under the side and inverts it with one sharp flick! This time keeping under the topsey-turvey front end, Wedga rams the upsey-down Haka into the closest fence and activates the arm! With a fresh explulsion of CO2 to accompany it, the No.24 seed is send somersaulting over the barrier and out of its third PTT!

Intensity vs Wedga Revo (Version 2.0)
Pretty even this one Id say. Two flipper bots with skirting all around, good armour and drives with a bit of torque in them.
However if there is a difference between the two of us is that I have a more powerful drive system so technically if we go head to head I should be able to get under first and throw it onto its back. From there I can shove it around and if it wants to self right it has to propel itself away from Wedga Revo and into/over whatever is behind it (with luck the arena wall).
If it wants to get under and flip me it has to get get under my skirting with its skirting, get me on top and then flip where as I should be able to drive in with the solid wedge, plough under the skirts and then toss it straight over using my flipping arm.
It probably wont work and Aarons no doubt got a plan to mean none of that happens. But we shall see... :P
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Intensity vs Wedga Revo (Version 2.0)
Well I do have a slight dis-advantage based on the fact that I have to get him up half way on top of Intensity before I can flip him. But either, I still have a plan on how to get under him.
Im basically going to try to ram the corner of my skirts into the flat leading edge of his skirts. With all the force on the edge of my hardox skirts it should be like driving a wedge between two blocks of wood, hopefully lifting his skirt/wedge up and and letting me under. This tactics will require a bit of driving skill, but with the traction and low CoG Intensity has, I think it will be achieved very easily.
If he gets under me, Im going to most likely drive off the flipper before he flips me due to the fact I have 8WD on Intensity which means I should always have more then 2-3 wheels on the ground at once.
My basic plan, once under Wedga Revo, is to beach him, drive to the wall and then flip him over the wall.
Its a spring thing....

Starting off todays match like a pair of Formula 1 racers, our two competitors collide with a crunch in the middle of the warzone! Proving just the lower as predicted, Wedga REVOs arm scrapes underneath Intensitys skirts! However, Aaron quickly jams his machine into reverse just before Andy can fire and so the flipper merely flicks the newcomers front off the ground rather than throw the whole machine over! Clattering back onto the floor, the conqueror of UltraVerter then duely dodged another ram from Wedga before twirling round to the more experienced machines side! Thanks to the force of its own change, Intensity has succeeded in getting past those side-skirts! But just as it starts riding up the sloping front towards that top-mounted flipper, the PTT4 veteran gives a great jerk and rolls off the newcomer back onto solid ground! For a few moments, the duo play tentatively, each trying to make their way to the others side. Taking a chance and putting on a little burst of speed, Andy charges back under Intensitys side and fires the flipper almost at once! This time, Aarons creation is thrown nearly 6ft into the air and crashes onto its back with quite the din! Immediately, Mr Knight tries to manouevre the invertible pyramid away for a good place to self-right - all those inverted wedges are nothing but flipper bait at the moment! However, Andy charges back into the newbie barely before the tossing arm is relowered and rams his rival side-on straight towards the nearest wall! Mere moments away from a flight over the fence, Aaron takes a risk and fires his own flipper just before Mr J attempts another OOTA! Intensity hops into the air like a large roboticized flea, but thankfully lands just beside Wedga the right way up again! Seeking revenge, the newcomer dashes for the PTT veterans side, but Andy twirls around in the nick of time and clobbers the Red Square lookalike, virtually stopping it in its tracks! Just as Aaron tries to remanouevre into an attack position again, REVO scrapes itself under one of the skirts again and inverts the pyramid for a second time! This time barely stopping to draw breath, Andy slams his upside-down nemesis against the fence and easily tosses the AJWars Semi-Finalist over the barrier and onto the camera track below! Starting to get rather battered now, isnt it? :proud:

Yes, the names sounds like a typo, but thats not whats important in vapourboteering. Well, except to the writer. :proud: Essentially a wheeled Comengetorix sans the flipper, the amphibious Axe-o-Lotl is a sleek box-wedge with a powerful 180 degree axe. Equal in power to the great Dominator 2, the hammer can produce about 40 whacks per fight and with the diamond tip, few things will be able to withstand it. As well as this, the newbie has traction on a par with Storm 2 (definately a good thing!) and a low ground clearance will give flippers a hard time. However, the aluminium/titanium armour is questionable and 20mph top speeds will make it hard for this amphibian to swim in a straight line. :proud:

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust...both of which youll be after meeting Aarons latest creation. :proud: Heptagonal in shape, Fragmentors main weapon is its lethal horizontal disc at the front. The flywheel can reach speeds of 4500rpm and produce up to 80kJ of energy at maximum power! Aluminium, titanium and even Hardox isnt safe from this beasty! This newcomer also sports a strong mix of titanium, Hardox and polycarbonate armouring itself and the invertibility will make it hellish for flippers to vanquish. But the two wheel drive doesnt offer much pushing power and every blow can send the machine into a bigger tizz than Warhead. Is Fragmentor the one wholl end up in pieces? :proud:

Not Another Pushover? Well be the judge of that, mladdo. This invertible skirted box may very well live up to it, though, given that its twin 36v LEM-130s can give horsepower equal to the RW world king that is Storm 2! One good thrust will see an enemy slide up the front wedge and onto the Pussycat-style circular saw sticking out of it - underbellies beware! Along with this, the pusher sports excellent 7mm titanium plating and 20mph will make it hard for others to catch up with...although, such speeds make it hard to control the 6WD machine and iffy manoueverability may also make Pushover...well, a pushover. :proud:

FROM SAN FRANSISCO, IN CALIFORNIA, AND SEEDED NO.11, VOLTRONIC!
(represented by Stephen Felk and Matty Fowler)
Probably the most successful of the remaining real robots still entering the PTT, Voltronic returns for a fifth crack at the title with very little changes (what else is new, Mr Felk? :proud:) One of the lowest wedges in town, our 11th seed hopes to rise to the occasion with its lifting arm, complete with triple moveable spikes on the end. Whatever gets caught on that lifter stays on, baby. The thick armouring also makes this one of the toughest realies competing and when push comes to shove, the two wheels are able to hold their own well. However, the invertible frame does make them exposed to axes n crushers and the fact that its easily outstripped could result in a shocking defeat for Stephen and Matt. :proud:
IN PTT1: ploughed through Razer and Chaos 2 before being pitted by Beta in Round 2 of the Semis
IN PTT2: reached Round 2 of the Semis again, having conquered the likes of Dishonourable Discharge and Anarchy on the way, where Pure Evil knocked it out with the rear disc
IN PTT3: ended up being ripped up and immobilized by Disctruction EVO in Round 3
IN PTT4: made its third series Semi-Final, but was quickly pitted by Mother of All Bricks 2 in the first Round

Off to the quickest start, Axe-o-Lotl and Not Another Pushover career into the centre of the ring and collide head-on, both bouncing away as Chris axe fires down onto the arena floor! Just as it retracts, Matty McD is back on the offence and rams into the fellow newcomers side before it can swerve away! Slipping that little bit deeper under its rival, the more experienced vapourbot shoves the Comengetorix lookalike into the nearest wall, the circular saw nibbling away at the bottom of the aluminium sides! In the meantime, Fragmentor and Voltronic have been a bit more tentative than the other two. Right now, both machines are attempting to encircle the other, each looking for a good way in to cause maximum carnage. At last, Aaron becomes first to make a move and charges straight at the No.11 seed! With a bit of skillful (and lucky) driving, Stephens fighter merely gets a glancing blow from the disc, sending Fragmentor into a spin itself! However, the flywheel has still left a nasty scar and just as Voltronic starts making its way over to its whirling rival, Aaron regains control and dashes back into the Battlebots side! Dent number two is added to the tough wedges shell and the Aussie competitor is off again before it can make any attempt to retaliate! Meanwhile, Axe-o-Lotl is yet to get a blow in on Not Another Pushover and things have just gotten worse - as Matty has shoved it down the ring and deep into Michael Pliers corner! Just as the House Robot and the newbie begin exchanging hammer blows, Mr McD changes course and shoots back up the arena straight into the Void Activator! But just as the siren begins deafening the audience yet again, Axe-o-Lotl finally escapes from Mikes zone (Chris bot now sporting several dints and Mikey with a punctured head :proud:) and rockets to the top of the ring n right up Not Another Pushovers rear! As the two hefty rammers start duking it out again, Fragmentor and Voltronic are continuing their little dance! Eager to avenge its earlier scars, the No.11 seed gets a burst of speed and manages to partially slip itself under the newcomers side! Aaron immediately tries to turn around and dish out another disc attack, but Stephen manages to guide them into an arena wall before he gets the chance! Now right under the Aussie with nowhere for it to go, the PTT all-star carefully positions itself and Mr Fowler activates the lifting arm...hooking into one of Fragmentors wheel houses with the spiked end! While Matty Mac and Christopher continue their little sluggerfest (the hammerbot finally getting some blows in now! ^^), Voltronic slowly turns around and carries the suspended spinner across the ring to that infamous hole at the bottom! All Aaron can do is keep the disc whirling and watch the wheels spin in mid-air as the No.11 seed comes to a halt near the Voids edge and slowly lowers in the newcomer from Down Under!
Fragmentor turns to dust! Mind the refs vaccuum cleaner, Aaron!
Backing away from the pit, Voltronic turns and goes to join the other remaining competitors...although, they seem to be having a good time without him! :proud: By now, Chris and Mr McD are whirling around in a terrible quickstep, the hammer of Axe-o-Lotl slamming down on the fellow newbies titanium top when they get too close! Shell merely sporting a dent, the pusher twirls around (swinging the axe off in the process) and scrapes itself underneath the side of the Comengetorix lookalike! Now going at full-throttle, the 6WD box-wedge thunders down the warzone with the hammerbot trapped on its wedge, the Pussycat saw nibbling at the aluminium once again! Axe-o-Lotls mighty weapon is crashing down wildly as Mr Mason tries to grapple onto the arena floor and prevent becoming the next victim of the Void...but the hammer barely gets a grip! Matty just keeps going and within seconds, the axe master has been shoved down into the purple-and-yellow abyss that we all know and fear!
CEASE!!!!!
Axe-o-Lotl couldnt swim with the big fishes and gets carted off to the nearest pet shop! :proud:
NOT ANOTHER PUSHOVER 3 AND VOLTRONIC (11) GO THROUGH TO ROUND 2!!!

HEAT F
ROUND 1
MELEE 2
ACHILLES (22) Vs GLASGOW KISS Vs PANIC ATTACK Vs SLICE N DICE ON STEROIDS
FROM GEDDINGTON, IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, AND SEEDED NO.22, ACHILLES!
(represented by Alex Holt)
Heel, boy! Heel! :proud: Now in its third year of PTTness, Achilles returns to the battlefield to avenge its oh-so narrow loss last time around. Sturdy as the infamous warrior its named after, this skirted box-wedges chief weapon is a rear-hinged hydraulic/pneumatic arm (he can change the mechanism between fights. Posh.). Accompanying this is a small claw on top, which allows the former NSBFL champ to clamp its enemies and carry them around the ring. The titanium and vulcanised rubber shell will make it very hard to even scratch this Athenian legend and the four wheel drive is quite phenominal...but the 18mph speeds could make control tricky and the lack of any truly harmful weaponry could turn Achilles into a Greek farce. :proud:
IN PTT1: did not compete
IN PTT2: did not compete
IN PTT3: dumped into the Pit by Tornado in Round 2
IN PTT4: narrowly beaten in its Heat Final by the Crashing Bore in a 28.5-28 decision
FROM LARGS, IN AYRSHIRE, GLASGOW KISS!
(represented by Scott Anderson)
Jings, crivvens, help mah boab! Hes back again! :proud: Still the same old psychadelic domey thingy as last time, Glasgow Kiss returns to prove that its hometown really is miles better! Unchanged since its defeat in the previous war, the chief weapon remains that 1000psi pneumatic axe, complete with two horrible hammerheads and enough pushing power on those four sellotaped wheels than the Flying Scotsman. The trippy 7mm titanium shell is tough enough to withstand a lot of punishment and the 15mph make it both nippy and manoueverable. However, the wheels remain exposed to fellow axes from the top and with a 10mm ground clearance all round, a few flips could see Glasgow Kiss thrown back intae the River Clyde! :proud:
IN PTT1: did not compete
IN PTT2: did not compete
IN PTT3: did not compete
IN PTT4: was rammed out the ring by the Ultimate Wedge in Round 1 as it burst between two fences! :proud:
FROM CWMBRAN, PANIC ATTACK!
(represented by Kim Davis and Martyn Forsyth)
Dont panic? Aye right! Theres a former RW champ in the building! :proud: A sleek silver box with a wedged front and those spider graphics, Panic Attack returns to rebuild its recent losses in the tournament. As ever, the electric lifting forks at the front get top billing for weaponry, easily capable of tipping over even the heaviest of machines - just ask Shunt . The strength of the four inner wheels mean that any victim impaled on the prongs is in for a fair few bashes and the skirting at the sides and rear offer good flipper protection...but the self-righter is as slow as ever and the vulnerable aluminium armour is definately cause for panic on Kims behalf :proud:
IN PTT1: defeated by Vlad the Impaler in the second Round...with a bit of help from Tildy
IN PTT2: was cut up by Machine of the People in its Heat Final
IN PTT3: battered in Round 2 by Supreme Glory Beta
IN PTT4: thrown uncerimoniously out the ring by Maximum Velocity in Round 1!
FROM ENGLAND, SLICE N DICE ON STEROIDS!
(represented by Richard Southworth)
Kids, dont do drugs, mkay? If you do drugs, youre bad, mkay? Enter Richs invertible box to disprove Mr Mackeys philosophy with (in his own words) a big-ass disc. :proud: Weighing in at 25kg, this front vertical flywheel can reach speeds of 3000rpm and could easily prove a match for some of our tougher competitors. The compact nature of this newbie and the 4mm hardox armour make it especially hard to crack open and the skirting all the way round will certainly scare off a few flippers. Unfortauntely, though, the two wheels dont offer much traction and their vulnerability to overhead attacks could mean that Slice n Dice is sent to the Priory Clinic sooner than it wouldve liked. :proud:
IN PTT1: did not compete
IN PTT2: did not compete
IN PTT3: did not compete
IN PTT4: did not compete
Today, Achilles flipper will be going pneumatic, baby.

Getting its third PTT off to a flying start, Achilles shoots out of its starting spotlight and heads straight for its first victim - Panic Attack! However, Kim seems to have seen this coming (itd be hard not to) and swerves out of harms way...just as Slice n Dice comes in and whacks the veterans aluminium side with its horrible flywheel! It seems like everyone is after the former RW champ as Glasgow Kiss makes its way over as well! Ploughing past Richies entry, the pyschadelic dome smashes into the long-time PTT competitor and begins raining down a hail of blows onto its arachnid-bearing lid! However, a little manouevering has allowed Panic Attack to slip the forks underneath the Scot bot and slowly begins lifting the fellow veteran up off the arena floor! Unfortunately, though, this little trick doesnt last much longer, for as Kim starts pushing Glasgow Kiss out to the middle of the ring, Slice n Dice dashes back in and smacks the former RW champs side again! Not only does this wallop knock Scotty free, but it also nearly rips a skirt clean off the yellow peril! Oh, and just wheres Achilles in all this? The Void Activator siren provides us with an answer as the No.22 seed rockets into view and smashes straight through all of the other competitors! Just as the trio start regaining their bearings, the NSTT Finalist comes charging in again and whos on the receiving end this time? Slice n Dice! Wedge meets disc in a shower of sparks as Alexs machine slides under the newbie and effortlessly shoves it to the closest fence! Before Richie can even blink, the flipper is activated and the spinner is sent soaring over the wall and out of the competition!
Slice n Dice on Steroids suffers from a major overdose of failure! At least the digitalised druggiell go out on a high... :proud:
On the other side of the ring, Panic Attack isnt doing much better. As Slice n Dice was neatly disposed of, Glasgow Kiss quickly got the upper hand in a small dance-off by scooping under the veterans damaged skirt and shoving it into the opposite arena wall! Desperately, Kim tries to manouevre his beloved creation away, but all hes getting for his troubles is blow after blow after blow from Scottys hammer! Considering the axes power and Panic Attacks age, its quite a wonder its still fighting to survive! The aluminium lid is getting pounded like butchers meat, yet the second RW champ is soldiering on, squirming in hope of escape with the forks on high...until now. Finally stopping the hammer, Mr Anderson backs Glasgow Kiss away. Poor old P.A. now sits completely static and looking more battered than a deep-fried Mars bar. :proud: The electronics just couldnt take the might of the axe any longer and now, Kim just waits on the Grim Beeper, while Scotty goes off to play with Achilles for a while...

Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
LATER ON:
HEAT F
ROUND 2
Glasgow Kiss VS Voltronic (11)
Achilles (22) VS Not Another Pushover 3
Thoughts? Tactics? Enjoy Round 1?
Major apologies for the absurd delay again, but laziness and Writers Block did striketh again.
Ive also come to a decision that PTT5 is going to be my last official tournament so that I can concentrate more on my other fanfic works. Ill still be as big a pest on the forum as ever once its over :lame: and maybe even do the odd mini-tourn, but another major after this one is very unlikely. I just really like doing my FanFic.net stuff and the like (search for Professor Vengeance there if bored!) and this means I can give more focus to them and branch out with my writing :). Just felt it best to make this decision official now, yknow.
Thank you :)

Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
Dont worry, we understand...well, I understand at any rate.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
I understand as well, Steven.
I predict Voltronic will get under Glasgow Kiss and pit it, and Achilles will either lift NAP3 and carry it around, or flip it around.
-
Pussycat Tribute Tournament 5
No problemo Steve, make sure you will enjoy your well earned retirement from majors, and watch someone else doing the hard work :proud:
the fights were good as always
