Here we are, here are we, another heat, with 6 robots already waiting in the semi finals, we move onto heat G, the heat of G.
Typically we start at round 1, because it is round 1, and it is when we do start a heat.
Heat G, Round 1
Die Ceratops Invertus (13) vs. Deep Impact 2 vs. Shovearound 2
From England, and 13th seed, Die Ceratops Invertus. Entered by Chris, this legend of FAR (entered every series) returns to make another impact at the title. Came in the top 16 last season, will it do better and get into the top 8? Will the unlucky seed number affect this invertible box with skirts and front invertible flipper? It has thick armour to survive impacts, but against a powerful rammer, the MagMotors will be pushed backwards.
In FAR 8: Beat Supernova, Pussycat, and Achilles before coming unstuck against SD IV in round 4.
From England, Deep Impact 2. Entered by Matt R, this second generation of the robot that almost beat SD IV last year has gone back in time, with 2 small discs at the rear end of a wedge. It is invertible, but the discs do not work upside down. The discs are powerful enough to flip robots up. However Matt€™s robot has a high ground clearance under the rear, so a flipper will simply flip it around.
In Far 8: Out in round 1, after almost beating SD IV in a 10 minute fight where it€™s batteries died out.
From New York, Shovearound 2. Entered by Tony a legend of US vapourbots, here to try to take the UK by storm. Shovearound 2 is an invertible rammer with twin LEM 130 drive at 48 volts. 4 wheels give it traction on the arena surface, and because it€™s been designed to run on a steel floor, it shouldn€™t have no trouble with this floor. Destroys every arena hazard possible. It has skirts protecting it€™s high ground clearance and a spike rake which works even when upside down. However being new to the UK, Tony could find himself hard work with a robot designed for 3 minute battles in 5 minute battles.
In Far 8: Didn€™t enter
All 3 robots are in the arena for this fight€¦

The green square is now empty, as Shovearound 2 exits it in a burst of acceleration from the LEM 130 motors, surly the best acceleration this heat? Die Ceratops Invertus is second away and is keeping Deep Impact between the two robots, as Matt€™s spinner is sitting still spinning it€™s little discs up to speed to attack. Shovearound 2 unleashes the full power and heads across the arena, towards Die Ceratops Invertus.
Die Ceratops Invertus turns around at the last moment, and manages to get the low front end up and underneath Shovearound 2, and before you say flip, it is flipped onto it€™s back. Deep Impact 2 starts to move forward to get into play, as Die Ceratops Invertus once more dodges Shovearound 2€™s attack, as Deep Impact has come close enough, as Shovearound 2, gets underneath Die Ceratops Invertus from the rear and is pushing it towards the twin disc monster of Deep Impact 2.
The flipper fires, sending Deep Impact 2 onto it€™s back, as Die Ceratops Invertus has flipped the 2nd robot over, as Shovearound 2 shoves Die Ceratops Invertus towards the arena wall once more. Deep Impact comes into play, and hits the side of Die Ceratops Invertus, and does a dancing flip itself, but not over onto it€™s front. Die Ceratops Invertus breaks away and rams into Deep Impact 2 and pushes it backwards. Shovearound 2 is pushing Die Ceratops Invertus as well, as Matt R€™s wheels are spinning, as the arena wall is coming closer. Another fire from the flipper sends, Deep Impact 2 over the arena fence and crashing onto the tracks.
Die Ceratops Invertus is rammed into the fence hard by Shovearound 2, as cease is called
Result: Deep Impact 2 deeply needed an impact, as it sails out of the arena. Shovearound 2, and the 13th seed, they go though.
Fight 2
Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 (20) vs. Automatic Schmuck vs. Odyseus 2
From Canada, and 20th Seed, Flippa Frenzay Mk 6. Entered by Matt M, this flipper robot has a powerful flipper and is based on Bulldog Breed with skirts. It is hard to get underneath and has a lot of flips, but can be out-pushed. Will the 20th seed, flip to victory?
In Far 8: Beat NJACC 2 and Terrorhurtz, before losing to SD IV (seems a common link in this heat doesn€™t he) in the heat Final.
From Australia, Automatic Schmuck. Entered by Team Aussie, this Tom designed bar spinner is powerful, heavy with the skirts and overall an excellent machine. It is fast for it€™s type at 15 mph, and is hard to get close to, to flip over, where the bar itself will self-right it. The bar is low to the ground at 13 cm, which should be enough to knock out any Lem 130 driven machine. The armour is tough, surly Automatic Schmuck is one of the favourites?
In Far 8: Didn€™t enter
From England, Odyseus 2. Entered by Alex. This strange robot has 2 wheels and is invertible, sounds simple, it has a lifting arm, but at the end of it is a spike with enough power to pierce tanks. However the spike only fires a finite amount of time, and it takes time for it to come back in. However the rope can be cut. The armour is strong enough to cope, but will Odyseus 2 be able to fire it€™s weapon to victory?
In Far 8: Didn€™t enter
All the robots are in the arena:

ACTIVE
Automatic Schmuck needs little time to get it€™s spinning bar up to speed, as Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 starts to roll. Odyseus 2 starts to move forward, as Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 rams into it from the front, before flipping Odyseus 2 over. Alex€™s plan has got wrong before he has started, as Automatic Schmuck comes near the party, and as Odyseus 2 fires it€™s weapon to try to get damage, the head hits into the bar of Automatic Schmuck and the head didn€™t stand a chance, as it is ripped clean away from Odyseus 2, the chain breaking away from the winch with ease. Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 comes in and flips Odyseus 2 over into Automatic Schmuck.
Both robots are sent away, as for a moment Automatic Schmuck€™s weapon stops, but starts up again, as a large cut is in the bottom of Odyseus 2, as something is hanging loose from it, as Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 flips Odyseus 2 over into Automatic Schmuck once more, as Alex€™s machine takes the entire power this time, as the side panel is ripped clean away from the chassis, showing the insides, as Odyseus 2 tries to move, it is spinning around, but it seems like half of the machine has stopped. Automatic Schmuck comes in close and hits the bar into the exposed chassis, and completely knocks away the wheel from Odyseus 2.
Cease
Result: Alex taps out to save more damage from Automatic Schmuck, Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 (20) and Tom€™s spinner goes onto into round 2.
Round 2 Draw
Automatic Schmuck vs. Die Ceratops Invertus (13)
Shovearound 2 vs. Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 (20)
Tactics, predictions, did you like round 1?
Woot!
Okay, as for FFMK6, heres hwat ill do.
Okay, its like Bulldog Breed. Thats good, as my rack can proboblay get under bots like that. So right from the start ill go head on into him hopefully meaning I get under and give him a taste of the spike or hammer. If I cant get under, im faster, so I should be able to get to his sides, which I CAN get under. Ill shove him around form there instead.
*waves* Hey Chris! *grins*
FULL POWER PLEASE, Dave. Remember, at this RPM I have an almost instant spinup...
I know, I know.
So...we meet AGAIN Mr Roper.
Just stay out of the way. HOPE that Tommy gets too cocky and makes some big mistake, then IMMEDIATLY take advantage!
Although Im predicting a non-seed heat final, I will be laughing so hard if chris wins this:proud:
HEAT G
ROUND 2
1) Automatic Schmuck VS Die-Ceratops Invertus (13)
Unless Chris can pull something out of the bag, I think we could see a repeat of Crash Bandibot VS Tengu. :proud:
2) Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 (20) VS Shovearound 2
This match will be considerably closer. If Matty can invert the American rammer, then hell have a good chance of dominating the rest of the match. If he cant, then Shovearound should happily live up to its name and dunk it in the Pit after a few hard slams.
Wootiful as ever, Mr D :proud:
DONT remind me Steve-O.
Oh, another thing...I dont do Tap-outs unless Im desperate. Watching BB vs Hypno-disc turned me against that.

Heat G, Round 2
Last round saw the destruction of Odyseus 2 and the flipping out of the arena of Deep Impact 2. Leaving 4 prime robots out for the kill.
Fight 1
Automatic Schmuck vs. Die Ceratops Invertus (13)
Both robots are in the arena, as the rematch between Tom and Chris gets heated up once more:

ACTIVE
Automatic Schmuck€™s spins up it€™s weapon at once, as Die Ceratops Invertus starts to move. Tom is whistling as he drives Automatic Schmuck forward and away from the arena wall, as Die Ceratops Invertus comes straight at the bar spinner. Die Ceratops Invertus is spun away from the impact, with a scar on it€™s front, Automatic Schmuck carries on spinning, as if nothing has happened.
Die Ceratops Invertus is holding back, as Chris is waiting for Automatic Schmuck to make a mistake, as Tom starts to drive his machine towards the flipper, with Aaron at the weapon control. Tom is catching up with Die Ceratops Invertus, as Chris turns, slamming into the pit release and runs for it. Automatic Schmuck is catching up with Die Ceratops Invertus; ever slowly as both robots are at the opposite end of the arena. Die Ceratops Invertus turns and runs again, but Automatic Schmuck hits the side of it.
The force of the impact, sends the 13th seed sideways, crashing into the arena wall, and Automatic Schmuck slams into it at full power, ripping away the side armour with no holding back, as Die Ceratops Invertus is fed out of the hold, it€™s sides are ripped open for all to see. Automatic Schmuck isn€™t giving Die Ceratops Invertus any time to get away, and hits the rear end of it, spinning Die Ceratops Invertus around and another hit from the spinner, as the rear skirt has come away. Can nothing stop Automatic Schmuck now that it€™s on a roll?
Nope, as Tom crashes in onto the side of Die Ceratops Invertus, ripping the rear wheel clean away from the chassis and into the arena itself. Die Ceratops Invertus isn€™t giving up yet, as it€™s still moving, slowly, but Automatic Schmuck smashes into Die Ceratops Invertus once more, as some batteries are away from it, but still Chris isn€™t tapping out. Die Ceratops Invertus turns around and rams into Automatic Schmuck and fires it€™s flipper in a loose hope, but nothing happens, expect for the removable of the front armour from Die Ceratops Invertus. Still Chris€™s machine carries on rolling.
Another hit, as the crowd are loving this and the other right hand side wheel is out of the chassis, as Die Ceratops Invertus is being taken apart, piece by piece in the arena, Tom and Aaron are smiling, as they smash into Die Ceratops Invertus for one last time, and manage to rip away some co2 pipes, as co2 has started to leak from Die Ceratops Invertus. Automatic Schmuck backs away, but still Die Ceratops Invertus is still moving, in a very wide circle, but still it is moving. Automatic Schmuck starts to play with the loose armour panel and rips it to shreds. Ref is counting down Die Ceratops Invertus, as it hasn€™t got full movement.
Cease
Automatic Schmuck is bored and rams into Ref at full speed, and for the first time, damage is done to Ref, as the sides are spilt open.
Cease
Die Ceratops Invertus, removed from the arena, piece by piece, as the 13th seed crashes out in round 2. Automatic Schmuck, moves into the heat final, whoever fights it will have a tough time.
Now, where did I put my duck tape? :proud:
Fight 2
Shovearound 2 vs. Flippa Frenzay Mk 6

1
ACTIVE
As soon as the green light is on, Shovearound 2 has crossed the line and is straight into the action. Matt blinked and now he finds his robot being got underneath by the American rammer and is being shunted towards the arena hammer. The arena hammer fires once, twice and three times, as Shovearound 2 lifts Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 off the ground once more and takes the flipper across the arena.
Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 is sent sideways, as Shovearound 2 takes some of the impact. Matt turns and slams into Shovearound 2, and quick as a flash, the American rammer is onto it€™s back, the lifting spikes go up, so that they are down, as Shovearound 2 slams into the side of Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 and pushes it onto the arena spike. The arena spike fires, sending the seeded machine onto it€™s back. Another flip self-rights the beast, but Tony has located the direction and starts to drive Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 towards the low wall, in a hope of a ram out of the arena.
Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 hits into the fence and jumps away, as it tries to get underneath Shovearound 2, but the ground skirts are preventing it from getting a good enough grip and so Shovearound 2 gets away from a sticky area, and gets underneath the front of Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 and takes it on another tour of the arena, slamming Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 straight into the arena hammer, sending it onto it€™s back. The flipper self-rights Flippa Frenzay Mk 6, but straight into the path of Shovearound 2, who isn€™t letting Matt€™s machine time to breath before taking it onto another trip across the arena.
Shovearound 2 hits the wall hard, sending Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 upwards, the rake is down as far as it can do, as it is holding Flippa Frenzay Mk 6, the rear end sitting on the fence, as it can€™t get it out of the arena. Shovearound 2 drops Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 down onto the arena surface and runs away for a moment. Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 is driving away, but something is wrong as there is a strong grinding noise. The pit has been opened by Shovearound 2, as Tony turns and rams into Flippa Frenzay Mk 6€™s side and pushes it sideways down into the pit.
Smoke is rising from the pit.
Cease
Flippa Frenzay Mk 6, didn€™t go on a flipping frenzy and crashes out of the contest. Shovearound 2 makes the heat final.
Heat Final Draw
Shovearound 2 vs. Automatic Schmuck
Tactics. Predictions. Thoughts. Other?
Oh great, now THIS should be fun...
Okay, this is all going to come down to whos lower. If Im lower, great. Ill lift him up, let his weapon grind to the floor, then ram him into a wall. Ill repeat until he gets flipped. Then, his weapon will be onto the groudn and I doubt hell be able to move easily, so itll be easy to get him into the pit. If he gets under, Ill try to get away and use the rear hinged wedge on him. If he gets under THAT too, then im pretty much screwed, as theres ntohing else I can do. So Ill do the only thing left: Salute Mr.Roper for winning the heat and wish him good luck in the rest of the tourny.
Haha, the front wedge is fairly boody thick, as are the skirts. I dont think tis very easy to get under them.
Was my blade kill-switch mentioned in this version of the stats? Dammit, it wasnt. Ah well, I dont think thats going to be much of a problem- ramming me into a wall isnt going to do much. My bots designed to take the brunt of its own spinner comfortably, so I dont think ramming it into a wall is going to break it up much :P
The front wedge sorta prevents the spinner from hitting the floor anyway, because its angle means that it prevents the spinner smacking into the floor when lifted from behind.
Im confident Im lower on all sides, so Im going to go straight after him. Im no slounch in the pushing department at all either!
Good luck Tony.
Well, theres nothing to do now, other than to retire Invertus from the combat field and get-a-going on the next DC robot...and Tom, you broke it, you pick up the pieces. THATS AN ORDER!!!
...make me.
*Passes Chris a bin bag*
You build it, we break it! Its a perfect life cycle :proud:
*Ties Tom to a chair, and plays a Teletubbies CD on LOUD!!!*
Name: Generator
Motivation: 4WD with Titanium encased Omni-drive.
Shape: *look at the CAD Render!*
Speed: 15MPH
Weight: 100kg
Height: 0 - 300mm
Length: 750mm
Width: 820mm
Weapon: The weapon is a highly kinetic empowered hammer. The 8kg Hammer with Stainless centre punch is powered by a 12kg 4000rpm flywheel which produces in excess of 45Kilojoules of energy. The flywheel has two planetary gearboxes mounted to it via a clutch and shaft. One gearbox is for firing the hammer down and a second is used for returning it to firing position. The first gearbox for firing is geared 6:1 from the flywheel giving it large speeds and torque on the hammering stroke, while the reverse gearbox is gears 20:1 to give a more controlled return and will help selfrighting.
The hammer should generate close to 43 kilojoules on impact. Or an equivalent to 3.9 tonnes of pressure in a single point. It should be able to dint Hardox armour, punch holes through Titanium and will destroy Aluminium like paper. Advice: Stay out from under the hammer!
The second weapon is the front wedge, it is a similar design to the wedge on Razer, it uses a sprung tensioned tip that will absorb low blows from spinners. The sprung front wedge is also actuated for a 200kg linear actuator which will allow Generator to lift it€™s front wheels up the ground to put more weight on the wedge to enable it to get under the opponents and their skirting. Once the opponent is up the wedge, we can grapple them with the hammer.
Chassis/Armour: 3.25 Hardox 450 with 10mm Titanium Inner bulkheads and panel bracing. This makes a near-perfect armour as the Hardox skin will survived the largest of spinner impacts while the lightweight Titanium supports and bracing sill stop the panels from bending or buckling and will keep all the internals safe.
Drive: 4 x S28-400 Magmotors on 24v, giving it a combined 16HP drive. The wheels are 150mm Omni-wheels. The robot has the ability to travel sideways and continue travelling forward at the same time, making it the hardest robot to defend against besides a translational spinner. The omni-wheel are generally a weakness to a robot, but these have been made out of 15mm Titanium and use Stainless Steel rollers with a thin coating of urethane tread.
Batteries: a simple supply of 5 x 24v 3600mAh NiCD Battle Packs giving a good 24v @ 18amps/hour.
Notes: Writer of fan fic, please contact me before writing the battles so I can email you a 1mb video of how the omni drive works. This way there will be no misunder standings of how the drive system works.
PWNAGE.
*Ties Chris to a chair and locks him in a room with Matty Haka*
mmmm.....
Aaron, I have a sense of humour, but suggesting that I am some sort of vengeance and/or that Ill rape anyone in sight, kinda pushes it./
Who said you were going to rape him? Who says your not just going to sing to him :proud:
Dont worry, Aaron has a bet with Tom.
Arent you supposed to not be here anymore?
Get nicked!
Im here for tactics only in theory, but Ill still defend myself if necessary. And Aaron, I really dont find you funny.
Matty.....
Just go do something, you would normally do. *points to piece rally*
*Slaps Chris in the side of the head with a trout*
Just need to get that sorted :proud:
*slaps Chris on the other side of the head with Mt Everest*
...whoops.
*turns round slowly to Tom with an angry look, grabs Tom by the neck and throws him OFF Mt Everest*
TOM: Aaaaaaaaaaaaghh! *Stops in mid-air and gasps loudly* Hey, I can see my house from here. *Starts falling again* Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!!!
Chris, is your life dominated by cartoon? :proud:
Not really...Robot Wars, Zoo Tycoon and Crash Bandicoot take up a huge amount...but I didnt really fancy the idea of pushing Tom onto a nearby Nitro Crate.
Nah, torture him more, Drop him on the TNT. He has to get away:P
*esitamtes where Tom should land, then puts a case of TNT below him.*
Heh, now win or lose, I still win the heat, casue Tom cant drive if hes dead now, can he? :P
You want to win the heat? OK then. *Sets Anthony on fire*:proud:

The NSTT, Heat G final
Here we are once more for the 7th time; let us have a quick look at the road for these two different machines:
Shovearound 2 managed to bully Deep Impact 2 onto Die Ceratops which tossed it out of the arena. In round 2, it pitted Flippa Frenzay Mk 6 after a fast battle. On the other hand, Automatic Schmuck destroyed the right hand side of Odysseus 2 before destroying Die Ceratops Invertus to make it retired.
Tom and Aaron are in control booth number 1, both are wearing some funky sunglasses, and Tony is in the control booth number 2, waiting to see when his luck will run out.

Automatic Schmuck has it€™s bar up to speed at once, as Shovearound 2, comes charging into play, trying to get underneath Automatic Schmuck before the bar is up to a high enough speed. Shovearound 2 hits into Automatic Schmuck, but it is spun away, after failing to get it€™s spike rake underneath and gets a hit on the side, causing some damage to the skirt.
Tony comes back onto the attack, but is sent away without being able to get the lifting spikes underneath and to make matters worse for Shovearound; the skirt is peeling away from the body, as Tom comes back onto the attack, giving it all he has got to get into his first major semi finals for a long time. The bar is up to speed, as Shovearound 2 reverses full speed into the front wedge, but the front wedge of Automatic Schmuck is lower, and Shovearound 2 is hit by the bar and sent spinning. Automatic Schmuck comes back onto the attack and rips away the semi-ripped off skirt to show the 20mm thick titanium.
Tom is coming back onto the attack, as Shovearound 2 accelerates away from danger, and smashes into the pit release. Automatic Schmuck comes onto the attack once more and manages to hit into Shovearound 2, as the side with no skirt starts to come away from the chassis, nothing else is damaged, but the bolts are coming away, as Shovearound 2 comes back onto the attack, but comes away from Automatic Schmuck, with a dent in the front armour plate. Tony is looking worried now, as he puts on the power to get around the sides of Automatic Schmuck, as Tom is turning to match the speed of Shovearound 2, as Automatic Schmuck manages to hit the side of Shovearound 2, with just enough energy to turn it around, another hit, and the side panel has been removed, the bolts just couldn€™t hold on any more captain.
Automatic Schmuck comes back again but Shovearound 2 runs away to get it€™s head back, Tom is driving Automatic Schmuck after Shovearound 2 at top speed, as Tony runs away once more. Aaron isn€™t holding back with the bar, as he and Tom are making Shovearound 2 run for it€™s money. The side panel of Shovearound 2 is lying on the floor, as Automatic Schmuck comes near and near Shovearound 2, as it lines up for an attack and comes in on a death or glory run at full speed. It hits the front wedge and is launched into the bar.
Shovearound 2 lands, as the bar on Automatic Schmuck has stopped, something is wrong with the bar, but Shovearound 2 isn€™t moving, as the safety lights have gone out. Ref is coming over to count out Shovearound 2, but Automatic Schmuck turns into a rammer, getting underneath Shovearound 2 and pushes it down into the pit.
Cease
Smoke is rising from deep down, Shovearound 2 put up a good fight, but the batteries short circuited. Automatic Schmuck moves into the semi finals, with a little job to do with the bar.
Next time€¦
Will there be a truce between Aaron + Tom & Chris + Matt?
Will Andy say he is leaving?
Will Scott finally get around to write his FRR fights?
Will Marge turn into a robot?
Will I ever stop asking stupid questions?
Heat H - The Heat of Doom
Ram-Rod (19) vs. Cyclone Force 2 vs. Mute
Slammer 5 (14) vs. The Disc 5 vs. Razer
Mute is driven by Medibot if you were wondering.
Tactics, Predictions, Set-ups, Did you like Heat G?
Im obting to use the claw set-up for Cyclone Force 2. Grab hold of Mute and pit it. Ram Rod will do if I cant.
Dont make me laugh
Quite possibly, but hell be back
See answer 1
Undoubtedly
A goose
Ill go after Razers sides. Dob;t kow if Alex wants to team up?
HEAT H
ROUND 1
1) Cyclone Force 2 VS Mute VS Ram-Rod (19)
Could all come down to pushing power here, so Mute to either be pitted or lose a judges decision
2) Razer VS Slammer 5 (14) VS The Disc 5
I can see the Disc as the most likely survivor here. As for the others, it depends if Razer can actually penetrate Slammers shell. If so, I can see the former World Champ regaining some pride. If not, I can see those little wheels being chewed up again :proud:
Shooper stuff as per, Davey Boy :)
RE: Slammers weapon set-up
If Alex doesnt say which weapon he is using, I will select setup 3A, Steve has said this is a good idea, because in the examples of other robots, it says Razer.
