theres no point lol ill just get moaned at
from what iv looked at on there people didnt understand why we needed one but that was 4 years ago so everyone now understands why we need one?
its only a light but if that makes me a gram over and i cant fight in the uk champs then goodbye to the light

Then you cant compete either.

then i go shopping in birmingham
we have a light on the spektrum neways - has anyone said i cant use that as my power light?
Tech Checkers Conference and training day
but if its upside down then that cant be seen
ill have to put a light on the bottom of the robot to
i think the rules should say that we need a light in every angle of the robot - we have to be safe now dont we
Tech Checkers Conference and training day
The Spektrum will only light up when there is a radio connection, not when there is power going to it. So no.
Tech Checkers Conference and training day
well can that be a remote on off light as if the light is off its safe ?
and if its on then alaive
no ok did not think so A light will be fitted
ans ps lets lock this thread ok :)
Tech Checkers Conference and training day
gonna have to get a nice big bright light then dad and have them at every angle of the robot
id like to make a proposal aswel - to make sure the robot is alive we need more then 1 light which can be seen at different angles of the robot

6.8.
All Featherweights, Lightweights, Middleweights, Heavyweights and Super Heavy
Weights, must have at least one surface mounted non-filament power light that is
illuminated when power is supplied to the robot. (i.e. when the link is in.) The power light
can be any colour but must be non-flashing and be in contrast with its surroundings.
It is easy to do, they dont easily get broken and take very little weight.

sorry shane, dont agree with you one bit their, for one i dont drive on the arena flipper, so that answers that one lol, and also beauty, hornet 2 or whatever i have come up against hasnt damaged a receiver b4, the first thing i do with my robots is throw it as high as you can if it still works after, then its fine.
kennys robot is very powerful and when he gets it under weight will be awesome, an over weight robot will cause me more damage than one in weight. Perhaps my robot just landed funny and it was bad luck?
but at the end of the day it has alot more power than other flippers i believe, and perhaps its so overweight was because of the extra bits requried for the power? im not sure as i dont know what his robot is made up of.
as previously stated not having a go at kenny, as it sounds as though it was a genuine mistake but if all robots were weight it would have come to light sooner, or if i knew what the weight was it would have been my fault for putting it into the arena with it.
it would be the same as putting your hw in the arena with my 135kg robot, and if i damaged your robot badly (with your extra armour for fun fights, taking you overweight) im sure you wouldnt be too impressed if you found out my robot was 35 kg heavier.
that is the comparison we are talking here.

and john your telling me that, with your expertise of robot building, its not in your capabilites to fit a power light that will not break in every fight lol
