btw is there any way to refill a soda stream bottle from a compressor? can you get like an adapter or somthing?
seems im here all alone today. are there many yorkshire events?
Hi Tom,
Soda stream bottles should not be refilled by the end user and are not certified to do so.
A sodastream bottle is not to be refilled. Period.
The valve in there can leak after a single use, as it isnt more than a rubber ring with a brass plunger and a spring.
Other point is pressure/volume. A sodastream bottle can take about 400 grams of liquid CO2. That is 208liter of gas. And thats on 55 bar at room temperature.
If you refill those bottles wit low pressure air from a compressor, you store about 6 to 7 liter. And if you refill it up to the allowed 70 bar on air(very expensive compressor), the full bottle contains 42 l.
Paintball bottles with an on/off valve are refillable at the events themselfs, sodastream not.
hey jamie what are Kaizers dimensions? and do u have any pics of it without its armor on?
Hi Tom
Where about in Yorkshire are you
west yorkshire
Leeds
Err, dimensions, off the top of my head are:
400mm long by 360mm wide by 55mm high (75mm at the wheels)
Taking away the front wedge and side rails which basically leaves the main body with all the stuff in it gives a size of 340mm long by 260mm wide.
All the pics I took when I built it are available at:

It took a bit of a bashing at the weekend though and still isnt quite as nippy as Id like so Im thinking of changing to 100mm wheels instead of 75mm ones and replacing the 2mm ali chequer plate (what was I thinking? :)) with a mixture of stainless steel and HDPE - so basically another new rebuild :proud:
i was thinking of going 500 long 350 wide and 90 high using 100mm wheels and setting tags down in the chassis so i can mount some HDPE and hav it sat inside the chassis so its level with the chassis if you know what i mean. so u can see the outside of chassis when your looking at it. dont know if it will be abit weak tho.
