Mechanical Noise - Series 1
Easy, eaasy. Look, Ill just reply to your messages in the calmest sort of way possible...
-...except this one. Of course Ive seen Minion! I saw it win its Superheavyweight title against DoAll waaay back in Season 1, and I also saw a later version of it in another season.
-Turning and speed are two VERY different things. For example, Onslaught is faster than Razer, but Razer can turn quicker because of its 0 turning circle.
-I know Tengu can move, Im not stupid.
-That isnt making ANY sense at all.
-Youll be piercing air because thats how Mega Mashers body is designed. OK, you WILL be piercing the armour, but youll never get to the vulnerable bits.
-See my Razer Onslaught post above.
-What are you talking about? Speed doesnt come into this. Well be turning at exactly the same speed.
-And finally, PLEASE stop talking to me like Im stupid. I know Tengu can move...how else could he have destroyed Crash Bandi-bot? But he cant move around you forever...
Although, you have, once again, given me a tactic...when the chance comes, turn quickly, and get underneath FA as best I can, then charge into Tengu...
Youre so kind.
P.S. You KNOW full well Im incapable of posting links to my stats. You know how stupidly simplistic the posting parts here are. And besides, the writer isnt complaining.
P.S. Thanks AJ for backing me up.

Yeah, so you know that Minions shape is not really going to be invertible unless you have some big wheels right?
-Turning and speed are two VERY different things. For example, Onslaught is faster than Razer, but Razer can turn quicker because of its 0 turning circle.
Mmm, k. Yeah I know, but of course if Razer was faster, not only would it move faster but it would be able to turn faster.
-I know Tengu can move, Im not stupid.
Okay, but the way you made your tactic seemed like you thought Tengu couldnt move. Or like Flank Attack has some kind of force field which will keep it behind me forever.
-That isnt making ANY sense at all.
Just forget it, I made that first post based on the assumption that you were going to ram me into Tengu. Okay?
-Youll be piercing air because thats how Mega Mashers body is designed. OK, you WILL be piercing the armour, but youll never get to the vulnerable bits.
Thats fine with me. As long as I have you in my jaws, youre getting a one way ticket either into Tengu, or into the pit.
-See my Razer Onslaught post above.
K.
-What are you talking about? Speed doesnt come into this. Well be turning at exactly the same speed.
But you are slower. If youre slower, then youre motors wont move as fast right? If they can move as fast, then they wont be moving as fast as mine when the turn.
-And finally, PLEASE stop talking to me like Im stupid. I know Tengu can move...how else could he have destroyed Crash Bandi-bot? But he cant move around you forever...
Im not trying to talk to you like youre stupid. See my above point.
Although, you have, once again, given me a tactic...when the chance comes, turn quickly, and get underneath FA as best I can, then charge into Tengu...
Ah ha! This is where my tactic comes into play of course, Ill let you go into my jaws, but you forget that I have that 0 GC Plow in between them. This will stop you from getting under, and my superior traction and torque will stop you from pushing. From here my claws will grab, and Ill pit or hit you into Tengu.
Youre so kind.
Only because I love you.
P.S. You KNOW full well Im incapable of posting links to my stats. You know how stupidly simplistic the posting parts here are. And besides, the writer isnt complaining.
For...
Okay, you know that adress bar at the top of your Web page? The thing that you put the websites adress into? Just copy that (with Ctrl-C), and then paste (with Ctrl-V). Its easy as pie! Look, Ill go ahead and paste the one for this page right now.

The writer isnt complaining, but when I go to battle you, and have to find your stats for tactics n stuff, its going to be a pain in the arse.

If better speed equals less control, then thats retarded. Should I enter a 1mph robot so that it can have better control than a 20mph robot? His robot is faster, so he can make reactions faster. My 1mph robot shouldnt be able to get around to the sides of a 20mph robot, hes faster so he can turn faster and stop me from doing anything.
Welcome to real robotics. More speed almost ALWAYS equals less control. Storm 2 is living proof.
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
heyheyhey, the first arguement in my tourney, I guess this might become a real major after all :proud:
as all yer vapours are under my control over here (MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA), it might be wise for me to drop a few lines
first things first, this is where Chris vapours can be found: http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/discus/messages/760/4863.html?1128739333http://www.fightingrobots.co.uk/disc...3.html?1128739 333 , just use control+f on your keyboard and type a part of the name of the vapour your looking for. Im perfectly fine with the fact that Chris didnt post this link himself, as I know where I can find his vapours.
Secondly, there seem to be some missunderstandings when in comes to speed, when designing a vapour, I always find it hard to decide what speed to give it, here are the basic advanteges and disadvanteges for a fast machine
Advanteges: This is simple, when your machine has a high speed, it can outrun your opponent, and it can move from A to B alot faster, also, faster machines can build more kinetic energy, which could be helpful for a rambot. High speed is basically used for robots that are build to chase opponents (like Storm 2), or machines build to run away from danger (like Heat A winner Black Panther Queen).
Disadvanteges: When using a certain engine at a certain voltage, the more you slow it down, the more torque and acceleration youll get out of it. This is a physical fact.
Theres also the control factor...
There IS a reason that nearly ever single government applies speed limits for car drivers. When driving at a highway at 300 mph, you simply have less time to react to certain situations. Slowing down will take way more time than when youre driving at 10 mph, also, taking corners at low speed is alot easier, theres a reason why people use their break before steering (and trust me, I can tell, Im currently taking driving lessons :proud:) this simply means that Flank Attack WILL be slightly less controlable than Mega Masher, although I have to add to that, 22 mph isnt that redicolously fast
I always find it VERY hard to decide what speed my vapours should get, but in my decision, I always think about the facts stated above, speed has both advanteges and disadvanteges yknow
and yes, a faster machine WILL turn faster, but itll be harder to make sure it turns as far as you want it to turn as a driver, in other words, the faster you go, the less precise youll turn...
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
Okay, yeah thats cool. I understand. Its just, the rules here are a little bit different for physics than over at A... the other place (best not mention it) ;).
Oh, and yeah not that you bring up that point that 22 mph isnt that ridiculously fast, I find myself remembering a certain Heat A winner: Black Panther Queen, who was 24 mph... hmm... I dont remember her going out of control... =P
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
its not like going 24 mph will make you totally uncontrolable anytime soon, but it will make you slightly harder to handle than a slower machine. This can be fatal in crucial moments during a battle, it hasnt been fatal for Black Panther Queen so far
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
Also Alex, why would I go for your claws? Im going for your sides. If youre saying your claws are on your sides, youd have NO hope, at all. PLEASE make up your mind as to where your claws are.
Also, when you claim that you will turn quicker because you are faster, explain why Razer and Chaos 2 can turn at exactly the same speed, even though the latter is almost TWICE as fast speed-wise.

Dude, I dont even think youve seen a picture of Flank Attack. Come back when youve actually looked it up.
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
Thank you VERY much, youve made life even easier. Those wheels are just SCREAMING to be chewed up. And use the same tactic as above anyway...get underneath any way I can (thisll be easy), then bulldoze it anywhere.
Mechanical Noise - Series 1
Guh, Chris you just dont get it. You want to get my wheels?
Too bad. You see, there are these little things called CLAWS in the way. You try to get to them? Too bad, my differiential turning will make me spin on an area tighter than a dime and stop you from doing so.
Getting under is easy? If theres one thing Ive learned, its Ground Clearence. My plow, at 0mm GC just like your wedge, will stop you. All I have to do is just keep it aimed at your wedge. Should be easy, and if you do one wrong move and end up between my pincers... game over.
And dont forget that Alex is there the whole time, helping me team on you! =D
