They may need to drop you off outside the main NEC entrance rather than at the back of the hall loading bays so abit more of a walk but nothing too bad.

Will there be some directions on how to load in, which dock / car park to get to? I've never been to Birmingham, let alone the NEC, so navigating is a bit daunting.

Navigating the NEC is daunting regardless. Hoping this year, 3rd time, we'll start to understand it. Though in previous years the (often useless) car park "officials" have consistently found ways to contradict each other. Generally more info about it all comes up closer to the time.
Also, 2/3rds in 5 hours is nuts!
